http://oedb.org/library/college-basics/hacking-knowledge - cloneenolc, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15Can we stop using the word buzzword "hack" for every piece of information.
- clickwir, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13blog spam
stop posting it - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Now if I could only remember those 77 learning hacks.
- phiz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7It's a myth that we only use 10% of our brain. Whoever wrote the tips didn't bother to learn that with their super advanced learning techniques.
- Wootery, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7You shouldn't have copied kinesis8's post from 8 hours before yours.
Buried. - lejohn, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Most of these "hacks" are obvious. The key is is to set your brain at the right mental state, i.e. to be relaxed (taking a break, bath, or stretch, etc.), so that you can study better.
- archlich, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I stopped reading at:
Cognitive enhancers: Ginkgo biloba
That's not even proven.
on a side note, firefox's dictionary doesn't have the word proven. - davids1, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Sweet its from lifehacker. They should make lifehacker.digg.com would save people the time of typing a separate address to find news.
- maximumsteve1, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5using phrases like "hack your body" and "life hacks" are so 2005
- MrTea, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Dupe
- Magadass, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I don't think I will be using my brain anytime soon in a way that was not intended by it's designers. By designers I of course mean the skinny aliens that put the face on mars.
- hackwrench, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4>3. Food for thought, part 2: Eat a light lunch. Heavy lunches have a tendency to make people drowsy. While you could turn this to your advantage by taking a "thinking nap" (see #23), most people haven't learned how.
Apparently not too relaxed then. It seems to me that there was a renumbering issue, because #23 "Map your task flow" doesn't mention anything similar to a "thinking nap". Numbers that refer to "taking a hike" cite #23, which in my part of the universe says "Brainstorm". If your part of the universe is in a separate poket of reality in which the references are correct, then never mind. Or better yet, attempt to indicate the correct information, which may not make it through the reality boundary.
Oh and if you live in some corner where this post got munged into a really witty saying, please let me know. - amirbd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2those are great notes, written by a great person. thank you.
"Use post-it notes. Post-it notes provide a helpful way to record your thoughts about passages in books without defacing them with ink or pencil marks." - thehuntedpossum, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2i especially liked #54, and it's quoting of a MadTV persona. that is the definition of classy.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2When I cut my hair like that guy at the article, I seem to think faster.
- AxeSwinger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Hacking is using a system, any type of system, in ways not intended by it's designers it is not necessarily computer related. Or if your twelve and "cool" it's unauthorized access to information cause your so 13e7.
- AxeSwinger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2...
- Twango, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1There's a lot of FAT in this list. Like the grocery shelf, it could easily be boiled down to 10 items ... and be better for it.
- Derrekito, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1adderall ***** you up, take my word for it, just stay away from that *****.
- shinynew, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Didnt do anything for me. (I have ADD)

I find if I am out of shape my brain is also out of shape and I cannot think as quickly and remember things as well as I did when I was in shape. Also studies have shown that if you are in shape more oxygen gets to your brain therefore increasing your mental abilities. Ginkgo Biloba increases the amount of oxygen to your brain so if you do both of these you would theoretically be operating at a greater efficiency.
- swin101, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Liked everything except maybe #76 despite how much I wish that was true. Pushing myself to spend a few extra hours studying the night before an exam always was worth the effort. However, all-nighters...never worth it. Get your bare minimum 4 hours of sleep and crash after the exam. Going to sleep and waking up an hour or two early to do more studying/writing also worked well in college.
- Applemacmad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I don't like the idea of hacking my brain.
Are there simplified scripts to do it for me? - GianDoe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1genius viral...http://oedb.org/ referral site for elearners...lead generation
- neodon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1"Bored" Maybe you should try some of the techniques...
- weister42, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Advanced beyond all that you can possibly comprehend with 100% of your brain.
- ichbinladen, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2This is utter *****. Everyone learns in their own way.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I became a believer at #61. Any lesson Venus Flytrap teaches is worth learning!
- Treysomeduh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The music technique is true. When I am working in class while listening to music, I do a lot better on remembering and concentrating. When I go to concerts and hear a song, then listen to it later I can remember the concert exactly.
- zhixiong, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0After reading #7, I forgot what's #1-6 :(
- FranzJ, on 01/26/2008, -0/+0Great Topic. http://gutscheinblog.wordpress.com/

http://blog-teachingsolutions.org/blog/category/cs ... - marthasmith12, on 12/08/2008, -0/+0A myth is that with enough knowledge and technology we can manage planet Earth.. "Managing the planet" has a nice a ring to it.
http://test-help.org/nclex.htm - unlimitedorb, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3Lejohn, You don't understand the difference between e.g. and i.e. do you? I'm sorry, but whenever people use those words and can't differentiate between the two, I just can't stand it.
- brainxs, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0Awesome. Seems to be vain for me...
- sherlock42, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0@ unlimitedorb:
If "the right mental state" is a state of relaxation, then "i.e." is used correctly in this case.

adderall
Take one of these and you'll be studying for at least 12 hours, and you'll love every minute of it! - Heggy, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Yes, hacking is unauthorised access to information. Are we breaking the law here people?
- mutantobject, on 10/12/2007, -11/+6Should have linked to the real site instead of that blog spam. Buried.
