sciencedaily.com — A new study has found that the hormone oxytocin, also known as the "love hormone," which affects behaviors such as trust, empathy and generosity, also affects opposite behaviors, such as jealousy and gloating.

It didn't really specify if there was a way to prevent the negative feelings with the same hormone or if it is just one of those things that we can't mess with and will always give us positive/negative feelings.
