- Gumphlumph, on 06/23/2009, -19/+50Ahhhh Limbaugh...always there to provide comic relief. God bless his moronic bigoted crack-pot ways.

- inactive, on 06/23/2009, -1/+22But last in so many more ways.
- pegothejerk, on 06/23/2009, -3/+23I believe you misspelled "immune system".
- inactive, on 06/23/2009, -2/+19This is Digg, we don't do that here.
- veganpa, on 06/23/2009, -7/+23Me, too -- you give the lying drug addict exactly as much respect and credence as he deserves!
- Devrdander, on 06/23/2009, -0/+15shaved it while he was in iraq

- poopin, on 06/23/2009, -1/+13I have lost most of my sense of smell. It happened after a cold and I used Zicam.
It does have it's benefits sometimes...but mostly it sucks! - janinekahn, on 06/23/2009, -8/+18Zicam has saved my life on multiple occasions. I'd stand up too.
- bjenidles, on 06/23/2009, -1/+11Canadian mirror: http://watch.thecomedynetwork.ca/the-colbert-repor ...
- Memnochxx, on 06/23/2009, -1/+11Looks like somebody missed two weeks of shows.
- irinotecan, on 06/23/2009, -0/+10From what I gathered, although Zicam advertises the product as "homeopathic" (even right on the box), they do so to bypass FDA regulations on OTC drugs, since homeopathic medicines aren't subject to FDA oversight. Technically it's not a homeopathic medicine as I understand it, and I think if it is ever put back on the market they should be stripped of being allowed to market it as such and should be required to get FDA OTC approval for it.
- yehaww, on 06/23/2009, -4/+14Well if anyone knows about drug side effects, it would be Rush.
- pcpimpster, on 06/23/2009, -2/+11Go back to TMZ you flaming noob.
- arbulus, on 06/23/2009, -4/+13Being a homeopathic remedy, Zicam should be taken off the market. Homeopathic "medicines" either should not be allowed to be sold, or if they are allowed, then they should be required to be labeled very clearly with a bold warning label that the product is not endorsed by the FDA and as a homeopathic remedy it is considered out of the mainstream of medicine and should be used at the customers own risk.
- nullcodes, on 06/23/2009, -1/+10Zicam helped me get off Oxycontin. Thanks Zicam!
- publiclurker, on 06/23/2009, -3/+12Decent people do not tolerate lying bigoted hypocritical losers of any sort. Must suck being you.
- bjenidles, on 06/23/2009, -0/+8Didn't see the comment with this right above mine. Go ahead and digg my slow ass down.

What is Zicam Cold Remedy?
- Zicam Cold Remedy is an over-the-counter homeopathic medicine that actually reduces the duration and severity of the common cold when taken at the first sign of cold symptoms. - KahRahTay, on 06/23/2009, -0/+8lazy troll is lazy
- publiclurker, on 06/23/2009, -0/+6Actually, debtman7 is correct. The problem is that homeopathic remedies were long ago given an exception to the rules concerning safety and efficacy. This gives snake oil peddlers an out. They can simply claim that their product is homeopathic and then sell whatever sort of crap they want.
- xt0ph3r, on 06/23/2009, -0/+6I was with you about the whole celebs and science advice stuff, but then it got kinda weird.
- debtman7, on 06/23/2009, -1/+7Sorry, I think they're cashing in on a buzzword here. Read the wikipedia article on homeopathy, zicam doesn't fit the bill. It's really no different than Cold-Eeez, Halls with Zinc, etc. It's just a zinc supplement, one that happens to be available in a squirt up the nose form. Typically for something to be considered homeopathy, it takes a sustance that causes the same symptoms as it is trying to treat and then heavily dilutes it. I suppose if zinc caused cold symptoms (news to me) you could call it homeopathy (after all, I'm sure it is diluted zinc). But then again you could say that about a lot of things (oh, liquid tylenol is diluted, must be homeopathy).
I won't lump it in with homeopathy since to my knowledge, zinc doesn't cause symptoms similar to a cold and has actual scientific research suggesting it may indeed help with the common cold. In contrast, homeopathic remedies are pretty much based on bogus science and diluted beyond the point where they could actually be useful anyway. - RainStreet, on 06/23/2009, -0/+6A lot of pharmacists have been warning against using Zicam for quite some time now because of the possibility of losing your sense of taste or smell. My parents swear by it, however. The active ingredient in Zicam is zinc, which does have antiviral properties, but is more effective as a preventative measure for colds rather than treatment. Once you develop full-blown cold symptoms, it's probably too late.
- EricSchC1, on 06/23/2009, -1/+6Leave it to right-of-center trolls like skotski to get their panties in a twist because the left tolerates everyone EXCEPT intolerant people like Limbaugh. The hypocrisy would be riotously funny, if it wasn't so sad.
- apcfreak, on 06/23/2009, -1/+6Dugg for digging Jeff Goldblum
- astinus12, on 06/23/2009, -0/+5It's funny you should mention that. I was recently terrified by a giant poster of that in my friends bathroom... haha
- arbulus, on 06/23/2009, -2/+6Jeff Goldblum is watching you poop
- jrobbi, on 06/23/2009, -0/+4Why is he so angry about his sponsorship money he is losing? I bet there are at least 10 other sponsors that would gladly pay to reach his brain dead audience.
BTW, it would be really funny if Viagra got pulled for some sane reason and he defended it. - illepic, on 06/23/2009, -0/+4Indeed :(
- TCSavant, on 06/23/2009, -2/+6On the upside, if you did lose your sense of smell, eating healthy would no longer be a problem.
- KahRahTay, on 06/23/2009, -1/+5you've gone smell-blind!!
- BeforeSputnik, on 06/23/2009, -0/+3I prefer the tablets anyway. Any side-effects to those?
- tidu, on 06/23/2009, -0/+3She totally loved his Jeff Goldblum impression
***** Jeff Goldblum, man! - imnojezus, on 06/23/2009, -0/+3Zicam burned the hell out of my sinuses and prompted an infection last time I used it. Caveat emptor .
- debtman7, on 06/23/2009, -7/+10Zicam isn't a homeopathic remedy. Homeopathy involves diluting things down to trace levels (or, nothing at all). Zicam contains a large amount of the active ingredient (zinc) just like a lot of other cold remedies in the grocery store do.
- poopin, on 06/23/2009, -0/+3I know! Well, not completely but it IS diminished.
Smell fogged?
LOL - lovek, on 06/23/2009, -0/+3/s?
- palanthos, on 06/23/2009, -2/+5I've had good results with Zicam. But I'm switching to the oral spray after hearing about the problems with the nose stuff..
- dsmx, on 06/23/2009, -0/+2and that's where I saw the leprechaun
Leprechaun, RIGHTTT.
He told me to burn things. - inactive, on 06/23/2009, -6/+8Listen people, and Republicans: If the FDA is a little cranky about Zicam sharing certain traits with battery acid, it's not necessarily a left-wing assault on "EIB." Now if the Obama administration systematicaly attacked all of Rush's sponsors, well I would send Mr. Obama a Thank-You card.
- Acksull, on 06/23/2009, -0/+2"What? ***** Jeff Goldblum, man"
- GreatSunJester, on 06/23/2009, -1/+3Sarcasm (kind of)
Anything labeled "Homeopathic" should automatically allow purchase with "homeopathic" money. In other words, I can dip a $100 bill into water and since the water was once in contact with the $100 bill, it has the same value and properties. Therefore, I will happily trade a "homeopathic" $100 for your "homeopathic" medicine. - harlowsmonkeys, on 06/23/2009, -0/+2I'd hardly call the company that makes Zicam a "pharmaceutical juggernaut". They have a market cap of only around $45 million.
- arbulus, on 06/23/2009, -0/+2Oh, I assume it's just marketing BS calling it homeopathic. But like publiclurker above said, it gives people a way to peddle lies and not have anyone check it. Which is why I have a problem with the homeopathic industry in general.
- Pilot85, on 06/24/2009, -0/+2I never bury mirrors for our Canadian friends.
