Laser Therapy Unproven as Smoking Cessation Treatment Says Public Citizen

citizen.org — Laser therapy, also known as laser acupuncture, aims a low-power laser beam at various points of the body. It is approved by the FDA for marketing for the temporary relief of pain. The laser device does not have marketing clearance for smoking cessation. Promotion of such use as well as claims of safety and/or efficacy for this use are illegal.

Americans are so quick to doubt the effecivness of any type of healing process unless drugs are involved. Plus, what type of people are being included in the research? If I'm Philip Morriss I'm going to find patients that don't want to quit and have the try this. The numbers are skewed. Try calling your local laser clinic and find out what their success rate is. I'm sure you will be amazed by the results. If you want to quit you will. If you don't really want to quit, you're more than likely going to fail regardless of what quitting method you chose.
