- d2002, on 10/19/2008, -1/+94So LAN parties are fun AND acts as a contraceptive. Awesome!
- WordsnCollision, on 10/20/2008, -0/+45So that's why you never see any baby vampires...
- inactive, on 10/20/2008, -2/+35Masturbating in the dark go hand in hand.
- oneredeye, on 10/20/2008, -0/+31If you're attending LAN parties, what would you need contraceptives for?
- Jacolyte, on 10/20/2008, -1/+30Linux alone works wonders as birth control.
- DforSpiD, on 10/20/2008, -0/+22Accidental tea bag related pregnancy
- waxcrash, on 10/20/2008, -0/+21You guys read the fine print?
* Study paid for by the International Suntan Lotion Association. - dafragsta, on 10/20/2008, -1/+16This directly contradicts the other article that said that geeks were extremely fertile.
- dannyboy3020, on 10/20/2008, -0/+13Maybe infertility isn't such a bad thing...;)
- Haoie, on 10/19/2008, -5/+17Hey you, yes you reading this: Get out of the basement and get some sun.
- inactive, on 10/20/2008, -2/+13Lack of sunligh = the new condom
- TheMidnight, on 10/20/2008, -0/+11Digg users won't be inserting anything anyway.
- Eagle193, on 10/20/2008, -0/+11yes, but maybe the geeks questioned have surfer-dude alter egos?
- Tichondrius74, on 10/20/2008, -0/+11But it's dark out.
- toxicgonzo, on 10/20/2008, -1/+11I see what you did there.
Actually I don't want to see what you did there. - whatthefu, on 10/20/2008, -0/+10But then how will diggers reproduce?
- regularsteven, on 10/20/2008, -0/+9INSERT generic comment regarding digg users
- Zarokima, on 10/20/2008, -0/+8Yes, but unfortunately the kind of girls that attend LAN parties aren't exactly attractive, write yaoi fanfic, and smell like old meat. So yes, enjoy your LAN parties indeed.
- DforSpiD, on 10/20/2008, -0/+8Asexually
- waynehoggett, on 10/20/2008, -2/+9This is great news.
- nmanguy, on 10/20/2008, -0/+7Looks like diggers who manage to get women still won't be able to have kids.
- solvable, on 10/20/2008, -0/+7I don't believe you know any real life girls. Enjoy your LAN parties.
- mbraynard, on 10/20/2008, -0/+6Do you have any idea how few people on this site drink milk AND get 2 hours of sun a day?
- fakeguy, on 10/20/2008, -1/+7Her (after): I have something to tell you, I have gonorrhea...
- sourceholder, on 10/20/2008, -1/+6Light from LCD != sunlight? That might be a problem for some.
- empraptor, on 10/20/2008, -0/+5But mechanism cited in article would not be the main cause.
You could have a lan party outdoors in the death valley on the sunniest day and it'd still be a contraceptive. - Checkerd, on 10/20/2008, -0/+4Reincarnation
- DforSpiD, on 10/20/2008, -1/+5Him: So what? I have AIDS
- tenio, on 10/20/2008, -0/+4since when did that stop anyone...
- markbrown, on 10/20/2008, -2/+6This is awesome. Someday when my wife wants me to get a vasectomy, I'll just go to a Korean LAN party for 2-3 weeks.
"So you're sterile now? That sucks, man."
"Not really. My level 60 hunter makes up for future lack of kids." - theOster, on 10/20/2008, -0/+3i actually read about this years ago - suggested 10-15 min per day sun exposure to the jewels. i gotta say, it's pretty awesome, i highly recommend it. (though the others at the bus stop dont see it that way)
- netneutrality, on 10/20/2008, -0/+3*****. I need to buy a sunlamp.
- Fabbyfubz, on 10/20/2008, -0/+3It's too real outside
- s4g4n, on 10/20/2008, -1/+4Too bad diggers don't have girlfriends to impregnate.
- TheMachine1, on 10/20/2008, -0/+3Since we are moving into flu season(in the US) its worth mentioning there maybe a correlation between Vitamin D and the flu.
http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/51913.php
Reminds me I need to buy some more vitamin D. - Ghostalker, on 10/20/2008, -0/+3Looks like nobody on Digg will ever procreate.
- dignation, on 10/20/2008, -0/+3Budding
- passedoutghost, on 10/20/2008, -0/+3Ah yes, the good ol' surprise sex.
- Richandler, on 10/20/2008, -0/+3Vitman D is a like a miracle drug of sorts. It seems that deficiency in it leads to being unhealthy in some form or another.
- passedoutghost, on 10/20/2008, -0/+3We can adopt.
- fakeguy, on 10/20/2008, -0/+3Uh... Clap = Gonorrhea
- elfprince13, on 10/20/2008, -0/+3how many of these dark-dwellers also had their laptops sitting on their laps the whole time?
- TheMachine1, on 10/20/2008, -0/+3The fortification of milk (400 IU) is based on the absolute minimum for prevention of rickets. A person with full body sun exposure to summer sun can produce 25,000 IU day. Thats what the debate is about how much benefits do high levels of D give you? If those higher levels are useful then undoubtedly a large number of people are not getting anything near those levels.
- empraptor, on 10/20/2008, -0/+3geeks with need for vitamin D have already died out by natural selection.
- stonebear, on 10/20/2008, -0/+2Or, in the case of the infertile; ***** *****.
- stonebear, on 10/20/2008, -0/+2http://articles.latimes.com/2008/jun/10/science/sc ...
- AnotherBrian, on 10/20/2008, -0/+2I guess we don't have a lot of sperm, but the ones we do have are fantastic.
- Stevethegreat, on 10/20/2008, -2/+4We're nearly 7 ***** billion. What the ***** are you talking about? That's nature's way of sterilizing us because we're already reproducing like *****. That's a blessing to the planet, not a deficiency.
Thus, smoke, eat ***** and become paler than the dead, that's what the earth orders you - EdibleBadger, on 10/20/2008, -0/+2Immaculate conception
- vagarach, on 10/20/2008, -0/+2Nothing worse than basements, they are often completely without any natural light.
