- WillSpencer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This study is fundamentally flawed. It is simple sugars, not lipids, which are the cause of the weight problems of people in the first world.
It's not the hamburger and fries which are making people rotund -- it's the soda. It gets the insulin pump going and builds a dependence upon constant caloric intake.
Of course, it may be true that having your kids at home increases your intake of simple sugars such as cola beverages. However, with the study flawed in such a fundamental assumption -- it is difficult to place any degree of trust in it's findings.
