- LonesomeFighter, on 02/06/2009, -1/+8i hope it works out good, and mainly security is strong. Because i hate filling out the same information tons of times. Plus I can't remember dates of stuff and who the doctor was from years ago.
- chadsmith729, on 02/06/2009, -1/+5Maybe if we get lucky we can see our medical charts online .... AND adsense! I can see it now looking at a test record "Viagra 50% off!" hahaha
- brutalist, on 02/05/2009, -1/+5good they will probably get a share of Obama funds for the creation of the national electronic medical record.
- 2ndEdition, on 02/06/2009, -0/+4good luck getting hospitals to use them
- Nephersir7, on 02/06/2009, -0/+2Nobody knew/cared about Google when it entered the market.
STFU if you have nothing to say... - Merlyne, on 02/24/2009, -0/+1I think it will improve health care. Thanks for sharing.
- matroska1, on 02/06/2009, -0/+1Gotta agree with pelayostyle, EPIC dominates. A fine product of my hometown - Madison, WI. I worked an internship there in high school. http://epicsystems.com/
That's a lot of #1's! - CySailor, on 02/06/2009, -0/+1I know they aren't evil an all... because they say so... but I don't trust Google enough to manage my medical records.
- 7levels, on 02/06/2009, -3/+4Sometimes I legitimately wonder if Google is a scheme by a few smart people to take over the entire world.
- dagnome1984, on 02/06/2009, -0/+1It's starting to get insane. Soon enough google will have everything that you ever did that invoked a paper trail.
- inactive, on 02/06/2009, -1/+2I love Google as much as the next guy but i don't think they call pull this off. EPIC has had a head start for years doing this. They pretty much have it perfected. But, who knows...
- MOTTOfied, on 02/06/2009, -1/+2Just make sure to read the TOS and Sharing agreement~!
and this is why...
"Google is not a "covered entity" under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 and the regulations promulgated thereunder ("HIPAA"). As a result, HIPAA does not apply to the transmission of health information by Google to any third party."
*remembers the chrome EULA Disaster* - Cassanova, on 02/11/2009, -0/+1LOL then I can open my chart in Google Docs and send them out using GMail and automatically schedule my next appointment on Google Calendar..
Ok well that doesn't sound bad..I'm just a sucker for integration - scribat, on 02/06/2009, -0/+1@rasde:
Uh... wut? - dagnome1984, on 02/06/2009, -0/+1What a bleak future.
- dagnome1984, on 02/06/2009, -1/+2That is why you have one folder that you take from doctor to doctor and you get copies of the records they have on hand. Wow what a concept all of of your private data in your hands and not that of the state. The problem is everyone is way to lazy too do it, and in the process by giving up their data to a third party they forfeit privacy.
- pstroll, on 02/06/2009, -2/+2I wouldn't trust those *****. They'll wind up putting your health info on Google maps.
"Find neighbors in your area with Gonorrhea" - shortanswer, on 08/01/2009, -0/+0Two giants are teaming up, be careful! It is not necessarily a bad thing, but Google is becoming Wal-mart of the online world and eventually govt. authorities may have to step for consumer rights. Remember what EU did to Microsoft. I hope Google will continue to do no evil and everything will be fine
Shortanswer at http://www.phrreviews.com/ - crispa1970, on 02/06/2009, -0/+0Thanks for bringing in the HIPPA information. I don't think that I want to participate unless breaches of confidentiality are punishable under HIPPA.
- inactive, on 02/06/2009, -1/+1No, it is probably a entire world by smart people to make you people that it is a scheme by few Normal think to take over the scheme.
- dagnome1984, on 02/06/2009, -2/+2Just what we need thousands of organizations will be granted access to those records thanks to Obama. Nothing could go wrong with that.
- niseeta, on 05/06/2009, -0/+0Quite a week, indeed. -http://www.vtechmassacre.com/
- scribat, on 02/06/2009, -1/+1I want to believe.
- wowpeanuts, on 02/06/2009, -1/+0No, it is probably a scheme by Normal people to make you think that it is a scheme by few smart people to take over the entire world.
- inactive, on 02/06/2009, -3/+1That's what they said about the search engine space when Google entered it. "Who needs another search engine?"
