- gbdc01, on 05/16/2008, -0/+2Good tips. By the way, you don't need screen capture software. On Windows systems, when you are on the screen you want to save as a jpeg or gif, just hold the function ("FN") key on your keyboard (usually the far bottom left key) while you hit the "PrtSc" function key, which is usually one of the furthest keys to the right on the top row (mine is the "Ins" key). Then open any graphics editing program, such as Paint and either right click or hit the "Edit" button in your toolbar, then click "paste". The screen shot should then be pasted into the graphics editor and you can either save it as is or resize, crop, etc. before saving. I don't know what the procedure is for a MAC, but I'm sure you can do the same thing without buying any special software.
