- DrJG, on 07/18/2008, -0/+1I don't know how authentic this particular site is but the write-up seems right at a cursory glance, and while it is true you will be unlikely to reduce by huffing and puffing and being exhausted as in gym, what is true is it is about change within, about turning your consciousness around, and you will feel different, and perhaps not eat the bad stuff if you have been doing it, perhaps be more active, at any rate feel more whole and hale and good, and be in better health.
Combine it with walking more and more every day - start with a mile and stick to a couple of miles to four miles regularly, perhaps more on weekends or occasions, but only with what you can do comfortably and preferably in open air.
Going vegetarian or mostly vegetarian will help a lot if you are non vegetarian, and getting a few cookbooks to make some of your own dishes as part or all of assembling your complete meal might be fun and help too.
Again this will be an integral change in lifestyle. Nothing to be scared of any more than education is scary for a new student or professional life for a new recruit - less, if anything. You will be discovering and becoming real you, not acquiring yet another straightjacket of mass construction or even a tailored one.
