- Bekey, on 04/10/2009, -0/+2Maybe this sort of research can help with MS, since microglia and macrophages play such a big part in MS lesions. First thing I thought of, I have several patients with MS.

But.. National Institute for Physiological Research.. NIPS
NIPS, Japan? Really? - bubbachuck, on 04/10/2009, -0/+1According to First Aid 2008, microglia are the phagocytes of the CNS. They are of mesodermal origin. Not readily dicernible inNissl stains. They have small irregular nuclei and little cytoplasm. They can form mutinucleated giant cells if damaged by HIV. Hopefully this will be etched in my memory now
- Bekey, on 04/10/2009, -0/+1I know, I had to do a double take...
- Meesher, on 04/10/2009, -0/+0I would think a Japanese Institute might choose a name with a different acronym than the one mentioned in the article. I don't want to be crass, but it was hard not to notice it. Anyhow, good research.
- Th3R3dFly, on 04/10/2009, -0/+0it helps expand on this article, at least
- BoneheadFarker, on 04/10/2009, -2/+1Buried for spamming, and for having an ugly website.
