- jjc4good, on 08/12/2008, -10/+35McCain was dating other women and "aggresively courting a 25-year old [heiress, Cindy McCain]?" How shocking.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/jul/11/johnmc ... - rmasher2, on 08/12/2008, -8/+29Apparently, the family values crowd (McCain) attaches much more value to families with a lot of valuables (the future Cindy McCain and her beer fortune).
- marabout40, on 08/12/2008, -10/+29The wife John McCain callously left behind: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1024927/ ...
- HookmasterCH47, on 08/12/2008, -3/+21So... "My wife has cancer" is a pantie dropper? Noted.
- eddiecdk, on 08/12/2008, -12/+29And wasn't it McCain who claimed the Obama doesn't share our values.
Fact is Obama is a good family man and McCain was out looking for something new when his wife was hurting.
They don't call him McShame for nothing. - corsair6903, on 08/12/2008, -0/+16She was re-diagnosed with cancer in 2007. She we in remission in 2006 when Edwards was dipping his wick in the video lady.
- DFutureIsNow, on 08/12/2008, -13/+24McCain is a douchebag.
- tman84, on 08/12/2008, -5/+16Wow what a shock, Edwards is getting a free pass on Digg and McCain is being flamed.
- Northernlion, on 08/12/2008, -1/+11It's always the cheating partner's FAULT because they could have just broken up with you or at least not lied to you about cheating and then let you break up with them. That's like saying it's a murder victim's fault for breaking up with the killer a week before she got killed! She should have known what was coming!
- cryosin, on 08/12/2008, -0/+9What a terrible world.
- cryosin, on 08/12/2008, -1/+10More like it's 100% THEIR FAULT for making the conscious choice to betray your trust instead of maybe talking about problems or something to that effect.
Christ, grow up. - Chaomancer, on 08/12/2008, -0/+9A married man?
- Muzikal203, on 08/12/2008, -8/+16If Obama did it, it would be front page news everywhere.
- ladbroke, on 08/12/2008, -0/+8WTF is an " infidelity expert"?
- sodade, on 08/12/2008, -2/+10Ditching your spouse because they have some random health misfortune is mindblowingly wrong. "For better or worse" is in standard marriage vows for a reason. If you are even capable of doing it, then don't make the commitment.
- barktwiggs, on 08/12/2008, -0/+8A Politician.
- barktwiggs, on 08/12/2008, -0/+8But, but between genetics and upbringing and difficult interpersonal relationships...it's just so HARD to take responsibility for one's actions!!!
- ErickStevenson, on 08/12/2008, -1/+8It's funny how these people always talk about family values are declining in our country etc... but they themselves have the same problem. If he(McCain) can leave his wife like that when she needed him the most, how do you think he will run our country. These people make me sick. Don't spout ***** you're not willing to follow yourself.
- MaynardJK, on 08/12/2008, -0/+6McCain wasn't running for President 28 years ago.
- jjc4good, on 08/12/2008, -7/+13While he was married to his crippled wife. Classy John, classy.
- Nicksname1, on 08/12/2008, -3/+9Did Laura Bush spend 9 hours after the accident trying to cover everything up before reporting it?
- tman84, on 08/12/2008, -5/+10A wife he was with for 7 more years when he returned. He was also her 2nd husband, she divorced her first to marry McCain.
Shouldn't you be posting in an Obama thread about how his warm breath can heal the faces of infant burn victims, and your iphone captured it all on video. - PabloMac, on 08/12/2008, -1/+6"I think when it comes to extramarital affairs, the nation is way too obsessed. Having an affair doesn't make you a horrible policy maker..."
That type of behavior opens one up to all kinds of bribery and corruption potential. - inactive, on 08/12/2008, -7/+11How can John McCain so callous throw away a person he proclaimed his love for?
And now he proclaims this same love for our country?!
This man can not be trusted. - Malacandra95, on 08/12/2008, -7/+11It's funny... but rabid right-wing partisans bring up Chappaquiddick all the time, accusing Kennedy of murder, rather than - at worst - negligent homicide.
But they never mention that Laura Bush also was involved in a fatal auto accident that killed her boyfriend at the time. - neonoodle, on 08/12/2008, -0/+4Edwards isn't a current presidential candidate so who cares? If he won the democratic nomination, his chance at presidency would be over because of this. Why is McCain getting a free pass in the MSM?
- kingmanic, on 08/12/2008, -0/+4Your wife and her lawyer cares.
- arjie, on 08/12/2008, -0/+4The person you're with will. Don't tell me you wouldn't give a damn if your girlfriend was sleeping with another guy but didn't have any 'emotional connection'. Not only would you offended, but you'd probably feel a bit inadequate too. That's of course if you aren't swingers, the both of you.
- PabloMac, on 08/12/2008, -0/+4Your 8th-grade girlfriend.
- PabloMac, on 08/12/2008, -0/+4"...when he had the affair."
I bet he's still having it, at least as of three weeks ago. - thehawk23, on 08/12/2008, -0/+3For the second time. She had cancer before his 2004 run, and was in remission during that time. It returned in 2007, as he was starting his 2008 run.
- Gerz1219, on 08/12/2008, -4/+7She probably would have if she'd been a public figure at the time. Cheney did the same thing when he shot a man in the face a couple years ago.
- Gonthim, on 08/12/2008, -0/+3She had cancer before as well. Her cancer was in remission when he had the affair.
- nodong, on 08/12/2008, -2/+4The only plague I see is an ever breeding swarm of ignorant christian and muslim fundies striving to bring a rapture of mystical blandout to destroy all that is excellent and fun in the world.

- TeddySanFran, on 08/13/2008, -0/+2McCain is D A N G E R O U S

- inactive, on 08/12/2008, -1/+3All Great American Douchebags, setting the tone! Making this continent a better place for high-class hookers.
- bynarte, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1Actually Laura's daddy orchestrated the cover up but nice try.
- brownstocking, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1Well-presented, but we're not looking at the women's characters. That's irrelevant. Both went outside their covenants of marriage and cheated. That's the deal. They cheated on women who happened to be ill.
I think the outrage comes from the way-over-the-top coverage of the Edwards issue, and virtual "free pass" on McCain. - hwy9nightkid, on 08/13/2008, -0/+1infidelity is infidelity, if you can't handle the relationship..maybe you should never have been married. Or maybe you should have separated.
- raybury, on 08/13/2008, -0/+1Thumbs up for honesty.
- kds405, on 08/13/2008, -0/+1The press chose to humiliate her.
- FRodriguez719, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1It's called a "character flaw" and PabloMac clearly stated that because of McShame's, there is the POTENTIAL for bribery and corruption, etc.
McShame presently is a very weak person in many ways (although he demonstrated strength 40 years ago as a P.O.W.). - zeppo, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1McCain never claimed to be one of those family values republicans. That's why a good portion of republicans will not vote for him. They would rather let obama win because mccain doesnt love jebus enough.

- Testiculese, on 08/12/2008, -1/+2It's more instinctual than anything else.
- ShittyPunGuy, on 08/12/2008, -2/+3Cheating on your wife really is a CANCEROUS lifestyle choice!
- raybury, on 08/13/2008, -0/+1McCain's infidelity happened when he was a member of the military with a great deal of responsibility, but Edwards was between presidential runs. Those runs both emphasized his relationship with his wife, while McCain, not then a public figure, had grown distant from his wife over time. Edwards' wife was just recently recovered from a bout with cancer, McCain's was ten years into a chronic condition. Neither man acted responsibly, but McCain did not get a free pass and Edwards is only suffering because the news media is obscuring the real story, how it buried the story as long as it could, well before and after it pursued a baseless, ultimately false accusation about McCain and a lobbyist.
For my money being attracted to someone who, despite wealth, works hard to help others trumps humping Ms. Hunter any day. - bobbi21, on 08/13/2008, -0/+1I haven't heard a word about mccain's infidelity on news stations except on websites.
And enquirer is a seriously legitimate news source. Everyone should be reporting news they hear from the enquirer. -
