- alkajazz, on 05/13/2008, -0/+1Oh Wow! Nice....Neat.....
- diamondbigdog, on 05/09/2008, -1/+8There was an old woman who lived in a shoe
She had so many kids she didn't know what to do
The doctor prescribed bills but they cost too much loot
so she's still having kids but she moved to a boot - bliving, on 05/09/2008, -2/+7I saw her announce this on the Today Show this morning... Will they ever stop?
- AriaStar, on 05/10/2008, -9/+6Unfortunately not. Part of the quiverfull ***** is to have sex whenever one spouse feels an urge, and condoms are akin to abortion and are a sin worse than everything but homosexuality because children are a "gift from god," and to do anything to prevent it is to insult god because "he will never give anyone more than they can handle" and "he will provide." Clearly they know nothing about homeless children born to poor parents. The good lord's doing an *excellent* job providing, eh?
- animalwheeler, on 05/12/2008, -1/+4Really, have you seen any of the documentaries? They adjusted their budgets to pay off everything they have. They pay current for things that they need; how about you?
God will provide, and they clearly know this. Their kids are loved, and well taken care of.
They have taken what God has given them, and done everything in their power, with Gods help, to provide for their kids; without Gov assistance. Better than a lot of other people in this country.
I would say He is doing a excellent job here. These kids, being a part of something you obviously abhor, are raised better, and are better adjusted, then most kids these days. They listen, act responsibly, love their family, and help others.
I guess love for the Lord, love from the parents, and actually teaching and giving (and holding the kids to) responsibility are just horrible. /sarcasm - Nannybell, on 05/12/2008, -1/+2Do you have a valid reason for being so unkind about these people? What specifically is your valid objection as long as these people are not on the govt. dole? Or is this just an opportunity to be negative for no good reason?
- alkajazz, on 05/13/2008, -0/+3I saw the documentaries on the Duggars. I was kinda creeped out by them. No ill will towards them though and I wish them the best of luck.

- gbudavid, on 05/09/2008, -0/+9I guess She found something she likes to do??
- AriaStar, on 05/10/2008, -5/+4Parenting sure isn't it. The older kids are responsible for the younger ones.
- gbudavid, on 05/10/2008, -0/+2I didn't mention Parenting
- animalwheeler, on 05/12/2008, -1/+4I'd say they are great parents, their kids listen, are respectful, and help out. They are ultimately responsible for their kids, but they 'employ' the older kids to help with the younger ones. It's not like they are the only parents who do that.
You say your comment like any older kid looking after a younger one is horrid, and deviod of parental responsibility. I guess the majority of the parents in the US are bad parents by your standards. I know people with 3 kids that have an older one look after a younger one. Are they irresponsible parents too? - Nannybell, on 05/12/2008, -1/+1AS, you seem filled with hostility and resentment. What exactly is your problem?
- AriaStar, on 05/10/2008, -5/+4Parenting sure isn't it. The older kids are responsible for the younger ones.
- IconoclastStill, on 05/10/2008, -0/+8There's someone who truly enjoys changing diapers at 0200.
- flip2trip, on 05/10/2008, -0/+10I don't know about enjoy, but I'll bet you bet you she can change one faster than a Nascar pitstop.
- AriaStar, on 05/10/2008, -7/+6God dammit, these people are my cousins. They are having #18, while hubblto-be and I have to pay thousands to have in vitro to try for one. I despised them before I found out they're relatives, and despise them even more now. When their older kids are having to take cull responsibility of at least one younger one each, basically de facto parents, that's when you definitely know they've had too many. Time to start finding new ones new homes where they won't be parents to numbers 28, 29, and 30. I know a home without any that would gladly take one or two, and let them be kids while they are kids.
- danielttt, on 05/11/2008, -4/+12More proof of God. Thank you for your confession. If God is preventing your from bringing any offspring into the worlld, He is indeed wise. These children look healthy and loved. I'm sure you are correct in your assumption the older children help in ALL the household chores. That is the way healthy familys help their children make the jump from childhood to adolescence and on to adulthood. It sems the early learning of responsibility is a foreign concept to you and you find it unpalatable. The conjecture your coment is laced with and your hatred for this incredibly well adjusted and functioning family is indicative you lack the skills and patience to be a great parent. Mostly, I suspect you lack the kindness. Go despising these people and see what that gets you. Sorry you're so jealous.
- eir574, on 05/13/2008, -0/+3" If God is preventing your from bringing any offspring into the worlld, He is indeed wise."
That's a wonderfully compassionate and forgiving attitude you're displaying there.

- BECoole, on 05/12/2008, -0/+3Sorry about your situation. I hope that you feel God's blessings and find great joy.
- Nannybell, on 05/12/2008, -1/+1What degree of cousin are they to you? First, second, third, what?

- USNavyBlue, on 05/11/2008, -0/+12To the posters that are posting nasty comments about the Duggar family - shame on you. Children are a precious gift from the Lord above. Unlike what you have been taught that children are somehow a "curse and burden". And I am glad to see that the Duggar's doing what is right and NOT what society thinks they should do!
- animalwheeler, on 05/12/2008, -0/+8The Duggars have a healthy loving family. They don't rely on the gov for assistance. And raise kids who are knowledgeable, and responsible. So why are people being nasty about them?
Why is it people feel the need to say they are wrong, they aren't hurting you? Maybe it's cuz they believe in, and rely on, God.
And that just twists the liberals to no end. Not only do they rely on God, they have a BIG family, and it still works, well. The libs are ***** off cuz the Gov CAN'T step in and do something. The libs hate that this family is traditional, God fearing, and that they can't do anything about that. - BECoole, on 05/12/2008, -0/+4This country doesn't like people such as the Duggars because, I believe, divorce has created a culture that despises family and by extension kin and country.
Think about this: If you grew up hearing one parent constantly putting down the other, how loyal are you going to be to your family? After all, that "despicable" parent is a part of you too. That makes you feel at least somewhat as low as that parent was portrayed to you.
