- halfamazing, on 10/12/2007, -0/+141/5 propecia = finasteride (enlarged prostate medication)
I believe propecia was brought to the market after finasteride users noticed they were regrowing hair. - saladtossser, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11but the doc's magic fingers can still feel it, right?
- edo-01, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9I started taking Proscar (1/4 a pill per day) for my hair in 1996 shortly after I noticed I really was starting to lose my hair, and have been on it ever since. It didn't reverse the loss but it stopped it cold for almost a decade. Lately the hairloss has been advancing but very slowly.
Haven't had any of the side effects they warn you about personally either. My doctor warned me about the cancer-screening effect last year, I recently ran out of the drug and have decided to stop taking it as my uncle just recovered from prostate cancer, and anyway, now I'm 33 and to be honest I'm at the point now where I'm no longer too fussed about losing the hair as I was in my early 20's. ***** it, I'll just shave it off... - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6lately i have become to poor to keep refilling my propecia subscription (70 bucks a month)
so i guess this is my bright side to me being poor.... knowing that i have cancer... when I Have Cancer - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+51/4 or proscar = 1 propecia pill. My doc prescribes this ***** to me and it is way cheaper than propecia

look at "How does my doctor check my prostate?"
sorta graphic - groundswells, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3No cancer, no kemo, lots more hair!
- Galaeron, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Even if Propecia hid my prostate cancer and caused it to fail before there was anything doctors could do, atleast my hair looks GREAT!
- sandfish, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Actually Proscar is 5mg Finasteride, and Propecia is only 1mg. Technically, cutting Proscar into 1/4 pieces would be 1.25mg of Finasteride a day. May not be a bad thing, may not be a good thing.
I've been taking Propecia for the past 3 months and can say it's been working better than expected. My hair is already actually starting to grow back! - sandfish, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You need to read over the information again friend.
- davidjames81, on 01/27/2009, -0/+1found some more useful information here.
http://ezinearticles.com/?Hair-Growth-Pills---Take ... - briantech, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The article also states that people who take finasteride have lower rates of prostate cancer, as well. So if you take it, its harder to find the cancer, but overall you're less likely to get it in the first place?
Not to mention its pretty much impossible to get an enlarged prostate if you've been taking it before you even ever had a problem...
AND I get to keep my hair? So whats the problem exactly? - Samsi7, on 01/16/2009, -0/+0General information about hair loss, women hair loss and hair restoration
http://makebetter-hairloss.blogspot.com/ - MageXXVI, on 12/07/2008, -0/+0A number of Propecia users have, contrary to Merck's own assurance, not recovered from serious side effects such as impotence and loss of sex drive. In addition, the drug may potentially cause brain fog, loss of mental clarity and slurring speech - likely related to it's unspoken mechanism - inhibiting the production of vital neurosteroids such as Allopregnanolone, THDOC and Dihydroprogesterone.
This is a warning for anyone considering/on Propecia, and help to those experiencing these issues. While apparently rare, the amount effected is still considerably significant and the consequences severe.

Canadian Class Action lawsuit - http://www.propeciaclassaction.com - eddyeddie, on 02/10/2009, -0/+0Personally, I think medicines are poisons. We should all go natural first before taking any type of medicines. For a hair loss problem, the safest is to go to a professional and get help. Read this article in http://medhair.co.za/procedure1.htm to learn more about hair replacement procedure. Good luck guys!

CHEAP GENERIC PROPECIA
http://www.extracheaptabs.com/?product=propecia - DeeEffEss, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Man, you can practically taste the irony.
I mean, if you told every man who uses propecia about this, how many of them do you think would still use the drug?
"Hmmmmm... If I use this drug, I could possibly get prostate cancer, and die from it because my doctor couldn't identify it... On the other hand... I'll have hair! I'll take it!" - zoomoose, on 11/11/2008, -0/+0I started losing hair in my teens! Now I've been taking "Nourkrin" for 2 months and it has stopped it in it's tracks :)

- owlpal, on 02/26/2009, -0/+0I have tried this and had very little results. I performed search after search and studied this for a few years, i have spent hundreds if not thousands of pounds on Hair Loss products. And there is only 1 product that has actually worked and is guaranteed to work too or full money back.
It is also now rated as the "best" hair loss product on the internet today for satisfaction. Follow the link for more information.
The results were outstanding, i've not got the embarassing "baldness" anymore thanks to this product.
http://www.hair-regrowth-info.com see for yourself. Dont be "fooled" by other cheap products out there like i was! - SayanarA, on 08/11/2008, -0/+0I found another useful article about propecia at
