- emmettgolf, on 02/11/2009, -0/+19This is your government by the corporations, for the corporations, in action.

FDA will write reg banning substance. It goes on http://www.regulations.gov for comment. If it doesn't get savaged, the regulation goes through.
This happens all the time and at any given time there are several active proposals like this.
This is your "open" Government in action. Unfortunately, unless you have a direct economic interest in this, you aren't going to be spending the hours every week that is needed to keep up on this crap. The volume is absolutely overwhelming. - Catspaw, on 02/11/2009, -0/+16This is just the beginning. Hear what Dr Rima Laibow has to say about the Codex Alimentarius rules, which are designed to kill:

http://digg.com/world_news/Eat_your_Veggies_while_ ... - inactive, on 02/11/2009, -1/+10A lot of people in this country have died because the FDA prevented them from getting medicine that they needed. In fact far more people have died because the FDA has prevented useful medicine from getting on the market than have been saved because the FDA prevented a dangerous medicine from getting on the market.
- ConcernedCanuck, on 02/12/2009, -0/+6Yep!
I immediatly thought of the Codex too.
They will start making more and more nutirents purposefully harder to come by
they are trying it up here in Canada too:
http://www2.parl.gc.ca/HousePublications/Publicati ... - veeew, on 02/12/2009, -0/+4Biostratum, the company who initiated this proposal to ban vitamin B6 in 2005, did so because it was the only active ingredient in a drug they were pumping millions of dollars into called Pyridorin. By the time it got to the third stage of clinical trials, partners and investors no longer wanted to fund the effort since B6 can be purchase almost anywhere for practically nothing. This evil company then sought out to destroy the availability of a product that is not made in the human body and must be obtained through food and/or supplements.
To contact this company and let them know how you feel about their sinister, greedy motives, please give them a call at:
(919)433-1000 - mozarker, on 02/12/2009, -0/+3As someone who was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 10 years ago, I can tell you a real horror story of the results of drugs that were tried. That which works the best for me is a cocktail of dietary supplements and avoiding caffeine, alcohol and sugar. I am increasingly frustrated and frightened with the need for government control over my health. I am blessed with a great family doctor who has no problem with the supplements I take and, in fact, compliments me on how well I manage the fibromyalgia. I fear that my right to get what I need is going to be taken away and I'm not sure what I'll do then.
- inactive, on 02/12/2009, -1/+3The FDA is a pawn of the big agribusiness and the pharmaceutical companies. Nothing they do or fail to do would surprise me.
- active123, on 06/12/2009, -0/+0have you tried these sites in Britain www.antiaging-systems.com
www.antiageing-nutrition.com
You can still get hold of vit b6 from there
