- BeShirtHappy, on 01/17/2009, -0/+11"Eventually though, the low cost and simplicity of the technology may make it feasible for people to be given an OCT scan of each eye at a young age" ... this is promising news. I am continuously amazed at the advances in medicine and technology.
- inactive, on 01/18/2009, -1/+5I guess that prisoner on death row who popped his last remaining eye out is SOL.
- Elderon, on 01/18/2009, -0/+4Pretty awesome in my opinion. You can learn a lot about someone just by their eyes.
- jcsmooth, on 01/18/2009, -2/+5Some of these advancements in technology are rather eye-catching.
- whahaa, on 01/18/2009, -0/+2that's why i avoid eye contact. they'd have me committed.
- kenplaysviola, on 01/18/2009, -0/+2Eye see what you did there.
- LonelyTylenoL, on 01/18/2009, -2/+4The mind is a mysterious and unknown area still unexplored science. A thought is just simply an electric pulse.
- nitroburn, on 01/18/2009, -1/+2My eye doctor takes photos of the inside of the eye to help judge patient health. A trained optometrist can identify many issues through such methods. I just find it cool to see what the inside of my eye looks like. Can tell if you have high blood pressure or bad cholesterol just from how the photos look.
- kds405, on 01/18/2009, -0/+1No eyes necessary. He wants to become more sleek and portable. Just wait until for his aluminum skin.
- tmc1, on 01/18/2009, -1/+2hmm, eye see.

- FrankFutter, on 01/18/2009, -0/+1We can also tell how long and how severe the blood pressure is among other problems including diabetes, and various other systemic conditions. In fact, it is not uncommon for the first symptom of the pathology to be identified as an ocular condition. It's pretty amazing that you spend 3 full years taking courses for such a small organ.

Friggin' awesome. I'm young enough to make it to immortality, I think. I told my mom, you *just make sure* you don't fall down the goddamn stairs and you might have a decent chance too. (She's 74, but she's got the good genes.) - EnergyEinstein, on 01/18/2009, -0/+1There's traditional Chinese medicine, eye-reading diagnosis that has existed for a long time. I'm quite sure all of this research would have stemmed from those ideas. I think there's actually more interesting research going on relating to analyzing the eyes currently, similarly to how based on your hearing you can diagnose certain issues or problems a person has. :)
- inactive, on 01/18/2009, -0/+1That's why I check my GF eyes every day. I can understand the weather forecast and my chances of Dying or getting lucky that way. Once she burned a hole in my head.
