- JohnnyDIGGme, on 06/05/2009, -1/+19They had a 2 year-old on the trampoline, and she got hurt? Wow, big shocker.
- DagYo, on 06/05/2009, -0/+11Wow, I can't believe I made it through the great drunk-adults-trampoline-jumping-while-kids-are-present epidemic and made it to the age of 24. I'm one of the lucky ones.
- InMSWeAntitrust, on 06/05/2009, -1/+11You know, in the grand scheme of things, I would have to wager that this is not worth anyone's time to be reporting.
- skunkman62, on 06/05/2009, -1/+9the UK has rednecks!?!
- DrHoliday, on 06/05/2009, -0/+5Just imagine the Doctors who feel compelled to even warn people about this.
Can't imagine they have much faith in humanity left... - rda1441, on 06/05/2009, -4/+9Oh my god....can't we get through one day without some kind of dumb ass medical study. I can't believe some of these people are Doctors.
- ray4389, on 06/05/2009, -1/+4I dugg it for a funny title, but seriously, who gives a *****?
I had a trampoline and no net. I fell off so many times that it's ridiculous. Never once did I break anything or get hurt. Sure bruises occured, but that was all. Kids get hurt! BFD!
Fine. Let's bubble wrap everything--did you hear about the child that ran into a wall? Walls are dangerous!!! - anonymousmedic, on 06/05/2009, -1/+3And now, for an exercise in Primary Injury Prevention:
Protip: Staking down the trampoline's legs, and using side nets and spring covers will help to prevent 99.9% of all trampoline injuries, as will inspecting them regularly for tears and broken springs. - adc86, on 06/05/2009, -0/+2timesDiggSavedMyLife++;
/s - kentifer, on 06/05/2009, -1/+2My trampoline has those ***** safety elastic bands.
***** thing sucks. - cuoops, on 06/05/2009, -1/+2Yeah I'm bored.....found this here - http://www.rospa.com/leisuresafety/information/tra ...
The latest accident figures available are for 2002 and these showed 11,500 people in the UK going to hospital after an accident with a trampoline – an increase of more than 50 per cent over a five-year period.
And in the US - http://www.fscip.org/tramp.html - According to the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), 246,875 medically treated trampoline injuries occur annually in the U.S. Of this total, 186,405 of these injuries occurred among children aged 14 or younger. - XenophobicAlien, on 06/05/2009, -0/+1Somebody please think of the kids!
- haikuFU, on 06/05/2009, -2/+3All insurance companies in the US will drop you if they find you have a trampoline. They are also the largest cause of ACL injury during the summer months.
- inactive, on 06/05/2009, -1/+1I remember as a kid, that was the scariest thing ever- to think you might fly off the side and land right on the ground, or worse the side rail. it seemed like death. then one time a kid pushed me while i was in the air, i flew off the side and landed right on my back. i was paralyzed from the waist down for the rest of my life, and there is no point or moral to this story, other then ***** happens. sometimes.
- ardilas, on 09/17/2009, -0/+0They just think for funny. But there had a trampoine net. Are trampoline net not safe?
http://trampolineonly.com/ - redlikewater, on 07/29/2009, -0/+0I did almost this exact same thing, except we ate a ton more acid, went to mass, licked the priest's fingers while receiving the host, tore off our clothes, and then jumped into the baptismal and claimed we were over come by the holy spirit. and father lynch looked like a vampire. this was at creighton university campus, st. johns' parish, omaha,nebraska. they had us shaking parishoner's hands after the mass... our eyes were like giant saucers (my mate patrick did the acid w/ me)

BREAK!! - slippeh, on 06/05/2009, -5/+1Well, there's a little girl with a broken leg who wouldn't have the broken leg if her mother had read this article beforehand rather than having to learn by mistake. I can only assume there are others out there who have something to gain from this article.
