- schnikies79, on 07/14/2009, -2/+201Live forever? Probably not. Live as long as I would like to? Yes.
- stormist, on 07/14/2009, -6/+173Yes.
- wrathbone, on 07/14/2009, -3/+133I'd love to. There's gonna be some really cool stuff in the future.
- IDigDiggingDigg, on 07/14/2009, -2/+93If I could, I'd keep my age to be at 21 and live on for the next thousand years. I'd like to see the future of things. If technology advanced so far in the last 60 years, who knows how it will be like in the next 60.
After I've had travels around space doing jobs like the Serenity crew, I'll die happy. - Janv1er, on 07/14/2009, -4/+81That certainly won't help overpopulation.
- amorrise, on 07/14/2009, -1/+73Would this make murder worse? Or possible a life sentence worse than the death penalty?
- CrankMyBlueSax, on 07/14/2009, -20/+78Will the 95% of humanity I can't stand to be around get any smarter? No? Yeah, I'll pass.
- CdnStanton, on 07/14/2009, -2/+60That can be cured with a visit from Mr. Shotgun.
- WasabiBomb, on 07/14/2009, -2/+59Same here. I am not my body- my body is just the vehicle that carries my "me" around. As soon as a better model comes along, I'm outta this meatbag.
- esteskid, on 07/14/2009, -7/+63Good more life for me.
- leif777, on 07/14/2009, -4/+58As long as I can still drink and hump, yes.
- Remmiz, on 07/14/2009, -1/+54I just want to live long enough to see Duke Nukem Forever released.
- iopasd, on 07/14/2009, -5/+56it will be unsustainable unless the birth rate drops drastically..
- theNazz, on 07/14/2009, -8/+57I think we have a slight issue with resources to deal with before we start worrying about making people last for hundreds of years.
- oilcan, on 07/14/2009, -0/+48sorry i don't buy this whole boredom thing. living 1000+ years would absolutely kick ass, and I can't see as how I would be so jaded with such a life span that I would want to die, there is an awful lot one can do in the world before running out of interest. I'd say the hard part would be personal connections with people who aren't similarly long-lived, not just hohum i wish i would die already.
- Alli3388, on 07/14/2009, -1/+44Yes, I'd like to live forever. If you're not getting old, why wouldn't you??? The only bad thing about old age, and what makes you accept death at an old age, is that you are withering away with age and feel *****, and everyone else is dying too. But if you don't feel *****, and other people don't have to age either, then why would you want to ever die??? Not me!!! It's an interesting world, and I'd never get bored of it if I was fit enough to experience what it has to offer!
- nesagwa, on 07/14/2009, -0/+41As soon as they figure out how to digitize our brains and put is in either clones or robot bodies (or clones with robot brains) Im signing up.
I want to see how things turn out in the world. - WasabiBomb, on 07/14/2009, -0/+37Yes and yes.
- Hetman, on 07/14/2009, -3/+39If you live forever then what would be the point of religion? Most religions make people happy because they offer them the idea that they are going to live forever and be happy all the time.
- ProjectGSX, on 07/14/2009, -5/+38I procrastinate enough as it is, knowing Im going to die someday. Living forever would surely kill my motivation.
- ZebraApocalypse, on 07/14/2009, -0/+33Without a doubt, I would.
- newes, on 07/14/2009, -0/+31It would allso make a life sentence far more expensive then the death penalty.
- newes, on 07/14/2009, -0/+29we could just stop having babies.
- WasabiBomb, on 07/14/2009, -2/+30I honestly can't understand anyone who doesn't want to live forever. You can have my immortality when you pry it from my cold, dead hands.
- corrozu, on 07/14/2009, -8/+35someone's too cool for school.
don't worry. they can't stand you either. - aywwts4, on 07/14/2009, -4/+31I would want to live forever, however, do I want all of you chumps to join me? Hell no, without death the world would quickly be a horrible jobless overpopulated cesspool, an endless purgatory for the living with suicide as the only escape. /hypocrisy is fun!
- InsomniacAgent, on 07/14/2009, -0/+26Dugg for the word "Meatbag."
- janinekahn, on 07/14/2009, -2/+27But if it sucks, no thanks.
- cawfee, on 07/14/2009, -1/+24Yep, if even just to live long enough to see true virtual reality come around and then waste the rest of my days in it. Good times.
- surfergirlsc, on 07/14/2009, -0/+23I would like to be able to live as long as I want... maybe not forever but if I would have a "self-destruct" button (somewhere I can't accidentally bump it) then yes I would welcome the technology.
- jspegele, on 07/14/2009, -0/+22A few trillion dollars just doesn't buy what it used to.
- schleufer, on 07/14/2009, -8/+29I've been rushed to the hospital via Ambulance a couple times. CPR had to be performed, so it was pretty critical. I've woken up in the hospital about an hour later, not know what had happened nor the date. My recent memory was gone so I had to search for clues.
What was the last date I remembered? I remembered my daughters 5th birthday., so it must be around 1998. WRONG, the year was 2001 and my daughter stood in front of me at 8 years old. My brain rushed to catch up and memories slowly started filling the void. It only took about 30 minutes for me to get up to speed, but for months afterwards, I was still 'discovering' things I had forgotten about.
So what is my point? These events basically gave me a second chance. A chance to realize that eventually I WILL NOT HAVE A SECOND CHANCE. I need to tell my daughter I love her TODAY. NOW. I need to be kind to my girlfriend, even if we are in an argument. I need to get busy on that project NOW, and FINISH it.
This is how my daily life goes now. Eventually it will end, but my life will have been beautiful. I wouldn't trade that for anything, not even for eternal life. - inactive, on 07/14/2009, -0/+21only worthwhile response. I'm leaving this page now.
- kjoe51689, on 07/14/2009, -6/+27If everyone lived forever then this place would be way to over crowded! It's already bad enough
- ousthouse, on 07/14/2009, -0/+21With some doubt, I would.
- odnaryperson, on 07/14/2009, -16/+36immortality sounds good until you remember it lasts forever...
- WasabiBomb, on 07/14/2009, -1/+20Invest, let compound interest do the work. 10 bucks invested today might net you a few trillion in a thousand years or so.
- ran24, on 07/14/2009, -0/+19I'd want to live as long as there are videogames to play.
/junkie - Merendino, on 07/14/2009, -0/+19Can't technically last forever.... the cosmos only has a few trillion years in it before all matter is burned out and entropy increased to its maximum. Then you'll die... because there will be nothing left.
- EddiePotato, on 07/14/2009, -0/+18Just look out for Biff Tannen.
- TheKillDoctor, on 07/14/2009, -3/+21Yes, and if it became too much I'd have someone cut off my head.
- jspegele, on 07/14/2009, -0/+18Well, you could cryonically freeze yourself and hope that we figure out how to reanimate the frozen and don't destroy the world in the next millenia.

- chuckDontSurf, on 07/14/2009, -2/+19Good Lord, I'm going to have enough trouble saving for a 20-30 year retirement, let alone centuries. Living longer will just mean I'll have to work longer.
- WasabiBomb, on 07/14/2009, -4/+21Sure, religion is *supposed* to improve your quality of life. That doesn't mean that it does what it says on the tin.
I'd rather improve my quality of life on my own, rather than by believing in fairy tales. - Alli3388, on 07/14/2009, -2/+18I bet you're young. No 90 year old who still feels good wants to die. Only SICK people are kind of okay with dying... If then.

- jbird123, on 07/14/2009, -0/+15Yeah, but that ten bucks you invested was equal to the ten bucks everyone else invested then, and your few trillion bucks will still be equal to the few trillion bucks everyone else also earned in interest 1000 years from now..
