Dementia Patients Prescribed Anti-Psychotics Unnecessarily

Ask any nurse who has ever laboured in a LTC facility and she will tell you that most of the meds that are prescibed for so-called anxiety and whatnot are simply to keep the clients calm and bit dazed because there isn't enough staff to deal with their health problems (both mental and physical) properly.
  • Ninh, on 11/13/2009, -1/+11800 deaths among demented elders due to over-prescription .. anyone else not sure if that's really a bad thing?
