- TheWriteGuy, on 04/14/2009, -0/+11Time to ban the soil as an illegal, unregulated drug.

- Fishn2, on 04/14/2009, -0/+5Nobody likes you, everybody hates you, why don't you go eat worms...
Maybe "everybody" was on to something? - AtheismFTW, on 04/14/2009, -0/+4This is especially true if you try to grow Zoloft plants in your yard.
- maz2331, on 04/13/2009, -2/+5Wine works faster.
- brad016, on 04/14/2009, -0/+3I just take my MDMA
- DeathRay2K, on 04/14/2009, -0/+3Yeah, having to eat dirt is sure to make people less depressed...
- Dumbledorito, on 04/14/2009, -0/+3"Now, Mrs. Hastings, our funeral home strongly advises against cremation. While a cheaper option, choosing instead to spend the extra money to inter your late husband in nice, healthy, earth has been shown to reduce hauntings by up to 43 percent."

"Dirt: The natural choice to reduce phantasms, poltergeists, and other spectral phenomena." - CJ117, on 04/14/2009, -1/+3Gardening + Cannabis = Happiness²
- HurricaneDC, on 04/14/2009, -0/+2If it works better than the stuff I take right now then bring on the prescription soil.
- T8erT0T, on 04/14/2009, -0/+2Nature man, far out.
- newms32, on 04/14/2009, -0/+2People didn't live past 30 back in the "natural" days
- whahaa, on 04/14/2009, -0/+1so when she said, 'eat dirt,' she was trying to cheer me up?
- nirvanix, on 04/13/2009, -0/+1Good, let's get dirty!
- borez, on 04/13/2009, -0/+1Oh so that's why... I don't have a garden any more.
- av4rice, on 04/14/2009, -0/+1Let's just say it'll put a dirt-eating grin on your face
- frontaxle, on 04/13/2009, -0/+1Bite the dust. Feel great.
- palehorse864, on 04/13/2009, -1/+2Here comes a holistic/all natural health food guy to sell dirt for people to eat. Actually, I think people have done it for quite a while.
- phenom2k7, on 04/14/2009, -0/+1A handful of soil contains around 25 billion bacteria. They're our ancestors!
- skews13, on 04/14/2009, -0/+1Absolutely, but i still plant my vegetables too.
- inactive, on 04/14/2009, -0/+1I used to eat dirt when I was a kid and those were the happiest days of my life!
- FLarsen, on 04/14/2009, -0/+1Let me rephrase that for you: "This is interesting and potentially good news. A lot of modern diseases have their root in our stupidity."
Now it's at least a little more accurate, though the last sentence has sort of fallen out of context. - pinkpackrat, on 04/14/2009, -0/+1hmmmm how do you know?
- inactive, on 04/14/2009, -0/+1This is great news. Most modern diseases have their root in our quest to alienate ourselves from nature.
- FLarsen, on 04/14/2009, -0/+1You can't just go take a serotonin precursor and think you're guaranteed to get rid of depression. There's a lot of different causes of depression and they often need different cures. It may work if you've got too little serotonin, but if you've already got plenty and the problem is something else, it won't work and you might end up with more problems.
Here's a few of the possible (nonexistent according to you) side-effects:
Heart valve damage or disease.
When combined with serotoninergic drugs: Serotonin syndrome.
When combined with carbidopa: Nausea and vomiting. - jaymzdean, on 04/14/2009, -0/+1I think we've just discovered our next currency.
- inactive, on 04/14/2009, -0/+1No *****. I'm not advocating a return to those days...I'm just pointing out that most of the diseases we suffer and die from now are caused by eating novel foods (foods we didn't co-evolve with), avoiding sunlight, avoiding dirt, etc...
- someology, on 04/15/2009, -0/+1I wish I could digg you twice.
- soil, on 04/14/2009, -0/+1You can all thank me later.
- PizzaEagle, on 04/14/2009, -0/+0growing weed in dirt is even more effective
- SaabiMeister, on 04/14/2009, -1/+1But then again, if you get infected, you never have to take anything again. I'd just make sure they don't feed on my neurons first.
- DarthTaper, on 04/14/2009, -0/+0Get enough allswell in your brain, and everything will be okay.
- dlrjr69, on 04/14/2009, -0/+0 Instead of dirt, because you never know where your cat may have gone, try a bottle of 5HTP, it's a form of tryptophan. Tryptophan naturally creates more serotonim in your brain. Serotonim regulates many processes in our body, from sleep to eating disorders to depression and aggression. No side effects, will not destroy your liver or your sex life like so many prescription anti-depressants, and it can also be picked up in just about any health food store. Just another way to take control of your health in this sick care system.
- Richandler, on 04/14/2009, -1/+1This would explain most animals are not depressed.
- ranknfile, on 04/14/2009, -1/+0chronic use of MDMA has been shown to cause long term depression in many cases.
