- teknomaker18, on 03/15/2009, -3/+21Who are we to decide if someone has a life threatening illness that they cannot not smoke a substance less harmful than legalized tobacco and alcohol as well as every single over the counter medication? That's just plain ruthless and selfish.
- inactive, on 03/15/2009, -2/+13Colorado is like North Carolina: part really hip evolved people, part throwback retards who like to crush anything that doesn't fit their tiny worldviews.
- drmobutu, on 03/15/2009, -3/+13This is typical...there are still many who are attempting to thwart any effective implementation of medical use laws. Even in California, lawmakers are still trying to saddle the law with restrictions designed to make life difficult for growers, dispensaries & users. I think what they are mainly afraid of, is too many of the "wrong" type of people getting their hands on large amounts of money...so they attempt to use other pretexts to shut them down...
- teknomaker18, on 03/15/2009, -1/+10Your ignorance should embarrass you.
My point is that if you have the freedom to do things to your body much worse than marijuana (medicine and otherwise) than why should people as shallow minded as you decide what a dying person can and cannot have? - WarpFox, on 03/15/2009, -3/+11if you think things are safer/better because they're natural and not man-made, you're a damn fool. that is the weakest/worst argument for legalization, there are plants out there with deadlier poisons than man has ever made.
- letherial, on 03/15/2009, -1/+9if somone is bored and wants to sit there and munch on <insert faviorte snack> and light one up let them!!
- economicbob, on 03/15/2009, -7/+15If somebody who has glaucoma and wants to fire one up, let them. If somebody is in serious pain from cancer, let fire two up at the same time. Lets get mad at methamphetamine and other chemically made drugs.
- spyd3rweb, on 03/15/2009, -2/+9Yes lets get mad at Chemistry and Science, the best drugs around are made in a lab.
- Meatloaf42, on 03/15/2009, -2/+9Solution: drive into Boulder. I'd imagine 50% of the people there have pot, on their person.
- Eurynom0s, on 03/15/2009, -2/+7It's bad enough that public officials try to to prevent legal medical marijuana in the first place. But it's even more shameful that once it gets passed in places like Colorado, those same public officials then try to dilute the law until it's effectively worthless.
The only just outcome for people like that is that they retire to someplace like Florida, which has no legalized medical marijuana, and then they get the same types of cancers and other diseases as the people they are currently trying to screw over. - Patent, on 03/15/2009, -3/+7Honestly, Colorado smokers have it so easy compared to the most of the rest of the country. Don't complain.
- billricardi, on 03/15/2009, -3/+7There is no 'right to medical marijuana' in the U.S.
A 'right' means that there is some sort of mandate that says 'all citizens can partake of and enjoy this condition or option and let no power abridge it'! Much the opposite, FEDERAL law prohibits many aspects of marijuana used for ANY reason!
Hyperbole and wishful thinking don't help causes. Scientific fact, economic impact, voices raised and people mobilized... these are the things that help causes. - BassMastr, on 03/16/2009, -0/+4Don't they know Colorado already has some of the best weed. Not being able to smoke bud in Colorado is like not being allowed to ski.
- wcarver, on 03/16/2009, -0/+4Yep!
I live about half way between the "Peoples Republic of Boulder" to the North and James Dobson and his Focus on the Family freaks in Colorado Springs to the South.
I inhale facing North and exhale facing South. - jerbaker, on 03/15/2009, -0/+4Am I missing something? If the number of patients under one caregiver is limited, doesn't that mean *more* caregivers instead of less as the poster implies?
- AnonthePyro, on 03/16/2009, -0/+4Great, more government red tape. Anybody know how to get the government to back the ***** off and leave their citizen's alone? What happened to smaller government?
- JoshReflek, on 03/16/2009, -1/+4i have the right to do whatever i want with my own body.
Medicinal use or not, the goverment can ***** off. - wcarver, on 03/16/2009, -0/+2<i>"The fact that there are things out there worse than marijuana is simply not a good reason to legalize it. "</i>
How about millions(if not billions) of dollars of tax revenue to the states and shutting down 60% of the profits of the Mexican drug cartels who murdered over 6000 people in 2008.
Are those reasons sufficient? - Sporky023, on 03/16/2009, -0/+2*WARNING* Do NOT fill out a request 789-45 (request for form 123 bc 234) until you have filed form 27B-6. Doing this in the incorrect order could harm your credit rating.
- BenderFlexo, on 03/16/2009, -1/+3Whoa, we tried being mad at science for the past 8 years and look where that got us. Let's get mad at prohibition.
- Julian88888888, on 03/15/2009, -2/+4um.... I think it's the LIBERTY, not the RIGHT.
- pseudononymist, on 03/15/2009, -0/+2I think the number of caregivers is about to rise dramatically
- HarrisonBn, on 03/16/2009, -1/+3Fort Collins weed is a million times better, and for the same price. Book it.
- Scrooged, on 03/16/2009, -0/+2I agree with teknomaker18 and wcarver, and I haven't touched pot in over 20 years. So I'm definitely not busy "getting high and sticking it to the man". If anything, I AM the man. You shouldn't make assumptions about people like that, makes you look "shallow minded".
- BenderFlexo, on 03/16/2009, -0/+2Or some of us get to work at 6 and don't have time to surf the web until later.
- thcobbs, on 03/18/2009, -0/+2Except those are... you know... outlined in the constitution.
- paulmer2003, on 03/17/2009, -0/+2Well said.
- jgubbe, on 03/16/2009, -0/+2LEGALIZE IT!
- BassMastr, on 03/16/2009, -0/+2You forgot to fill out form 123 bc 234. But don't forget to fill out form 123 bc 234(b) to let them know how many 123 bc 234 forms you will be sending them later,
- calu99, on 03/16/2009, -0/+2Federal law does not overrule state law, unless the states have specifically given the federal goverment that right. States (according to the constitution) actually hold most of the power.
- LibertyLady7, on 03/17/2009, -0/+2I get up at 5:30 AM every day ignoramus.
- Manther, on 03/16/2009, -0/+2If only they'd realize that there efforts are only ensuring that more of the money goes to the "wrong" type of people....
- BenderFlexo, on 03/16/2009, -0/+1Well, in the Declaration of Independence it is declared that we have the inalienable RIGHT to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, therefore, having liberty is a right in this country.
- Sporky023, on 03/16/2009, -0/+1We're not children. Legalize drugs.
- DrummerAndrew, on 03/16/2009, -0/+1Yes, I do. It doesn't affect you adversely or otherwise, so it's absolutely none of your business. I have the right to consume or not consume anything I please so long as it doesn't harm others. Personal freedom is personal. Just as I have the right to eat pizza, I have the right to smoke, drink, eat, look at, smell, and ignore anything I like. You're just the kind of person that could use a toke.
- wcarver, on 03/16/2009, -0/+1And 25% left theirs at home or are out looking to buy from the 50%
- BenderFlexo, on 03/16/2009, -0/+1That's the wrong attitude, we need to all complain, to fight until every person in this country is free to enjoy their recreational substance of choice.
- Yez70, on 03/15/2009, -1/+2Idiot.
There is a 'right to medical marijuana' in Colorodo and the current administration policy is to let them have that right. I'm sorry you can't read, but the article is about Colorodo specifically. That's why it's even in the title. - peterjmag, on 03/17/2009, -0/+1It's true. And half of it comes from my roommate...
- BenderFlexo, on 03/16/2009, -0/+1They won't get very far, we, the People put that amendment in the state's Constitution and it cannot be modified without our approval. Any additional restrictions will fail when they meet a judge.
- teknomaker18, on 03/16/2009, -0/+1Contrary to what you believe, not everyone who smokes is a stoner much how someone who occasionally drinks is not an alcoholic. Not everyone who wants to legalize it is out on the street yelling ignorant, hateful thoughts. There are many activist in congress for example. Seeking another source besides televised news may suit you.
By chance, have you ever heard of the prohibition? - BenderFlexo, on 03/16/2009, -0/+1I drive by New Life and close to Focus on the Family every day. You could have a mother in law that works at one and belongs to the other. I have to smoke twice as much to deal with this *****.
- BenderFlexo, on 03/16/2009, -0/+1That must mean you don't have the right to post your opinion. Or own a gun. Or vote.
- BenderFlexo, on 03/16/2009, -0/+1And the ***** 10th amendment overrules whatever the federal government says. I guess you forgot about that part of the legal system, you must be a cop billy.
- inactive, on 03/15/2009, -2/+2Are you saying "boo" or "boourns"?
- inactive, on 04/10/2009, -0/+0Doctors advised that a non-medical escort would be appropriate, and the spouse’s transportation costs were covered.http://www.southwestairambulance.com
- Amadeus2490, on 03/15/2009, -1/+1I'm saying "BOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!1".
