- p51d007, on 10/10/2007, -1/+24People wonder why the whole world is nuts?
This week caffine is good for you, last week it wasn't.
Oat brain is good for you, then it isn't.
Drink coffee, no don't drink coffee, drink a glass of wine, NO, stay away from wine.
If people would QUIT listening to these so called "experts", and eat/drink things
in M-O-D-E-R-A-T-I-O-N, you can eat/drink just about anything you want. - lazyrussian, on 10/10/2007, -0/+16He probably has an iPhone.
iPhone + Starbucks = New Fad - footodors, on 10/10/2007, -2/+17I'm pouring mountain dew on my skin right now......ooooo, pretty and soft!!!!
- kingrooster, on 10/10/2007, -2/+17This is good news! I smoke pot for it's anti lung cancer properties, drink alcohol for it's anti heart disease properties and now I can claim I drink coffee for it's anti-liver cancer properties! I might just live forever!

- Bajeda, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11Starbucks is incredibly overrated, not to mention overpriced.
- mstoneburner, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9I never have. Why would I want to? I want to die of old age, not stupidity.
- subxero37, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9I hope that doesn't mean you were browsing Digg while driving...
- mattmcm, on 10/10/2007, -3/+10Thanks, coffee!
- jgasm, on 10/10/2007, -8/+14dugg while on the way to starbucks!
- TSorenson, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7Starbucks is the McDonalds of coffee. Now, where's my Tanzanian Peaberry...
- mjl5629, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8First off, I drink massive amounts of coffee straight out of the pot. Regardless, I'm starting to get skeptical about all of the pro-caffeine stories floating around. Let's get serious, coffee is addictive. That isn't a good thing.
Sounds like "the Merchants of Death" from the movie "Thank You for Smoking" have found a new job. - JonnyTrombone, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Dugg for this: " This caffeine was coupled with the mouse equivalent of a voluntary exercise program, which involved placing a running wheel in the cage."
- GiJoeBob, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5I love coffee so much I want to marry it.
- Homunculiheaded, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6No Starbucks coffee is over roasted to disguise the crappy beans that they use. The darker the roast the less of the original character of the bean is present in the roast. However even for a dark roast starbucks generally sucks. Yes they're are better than 90% of the dirty-water you can buy at places like dunkin-donuts, but that isn't saying much. I home roast and love to make a good dark roast. But I use really good beans and even in a dark roast you can really taste the difference. Plus beans should be consumed between 24hrs-1wk of the roast, how long to do you think starbucks keeps those beans in storage before they make it to the grinder?
Starbucks is okay at best, and there dark roasts are nothing to get excited about. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5I don't Baileys is having an adverse effect on your liver at a whopping 14 proof
- diggdong, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Try switching to something less fatting, like wild turkey 101.
- townsendmerino, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4coffee in, code out
- Minishark, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Ah, yes, but now we have to argue over what constitutes a moderate amount...
- spanisheyes1212, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Yay Coffee!
Finally an addiction that helps! - winmywii, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3red bull + Jägermeister
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Just buy the product. That's all they're asking.
- wiggles, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Perhaps the two cancel each other out, and you can get hammered without the liver damage!
- wyefye, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3dugg down for going to starbucks...
- o0joshua0o, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I don't understand. The Word of Wisdom says that coffee, tea, and wine are bad for me, yet multiple scientific studies say they're good for me. Can anyone explain this discrepancy?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Iced venti iced coffee? you must work at starbucks
- wiggles, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Some of us like our coffee dark roasted. If I go to the local roaster who under roasts his beans, the coffee tastes like I'm drinking pureed string beans.
- Akvj1n, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Dug while drinking coffee, all I need is some sun in this office!
- lordbeef, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3I'll just drink coffee and hard liquor and I'll be fine then! After all, there's never any problems when you mix uppers and downers :)
- Homerr, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Meanwhile, my teeth are coffee-stained.
- mt066, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2i wasn't going to stop drinking coffee anyway, but this is encouraging.
- PotoinMan, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Ever drink Bailey's from a shoe?
- gimlik, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Who funded this study? Folgers?
- wiggles, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Just because it's addictive doesn't mean it's bad for you. Nicotine isn't necessarily bad for you, it's all of the other crap in the cigarette that will kill you.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2It don't matter, you're still gonna die no matter what you eat or drink. Live merrily and eat what you want. The health nazis don't live any longer than the gluttons or smokers.
- general13, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Jugulator - may I just say EXCELLENT comeback on the video post. classic futurama. That's actually my favorite clip from the entire series...thank you.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3No sh*t, I cut sugar and cream out years ago. Now I have to pay more for my iced Venti iced coffee because the price of dairy? Damn fat people...
- slapthemonkey, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1well i thought it was bad ohhhh is it good ?.......hmmmm maybe next month it will again be bad :P
- Bajeda, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1^^^^ I just did a quick search so these may not be the best sources, but you get an idea. You can also find anecdotal reports of people who experienced severe caffeine addiction, which isn't pretty.

Basically everything in moderation. I personally don't like the effects of caffeine as it makes me less focused and too jittery, but I like the taste of good coffee (especially Arabic style).
One of the biggest reasons people quit drinking coffee is gastrointestinal problems, or worse, stomach ulcers. Sorry I can't remember where the source for that was. - PRlME, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1one day i can drink it one day i cant drin it one day i can drink it 2morrow i cant drink it
- kingrooster, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Well that's simple. Red wine is good for your heart, bad for your liver. Coffee is good for your liver, bad for your heart. Drink as much as you want, just make sure you balance it out. Problem solved!
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1@rrbest, nice catch. Don't you ever want to ask why they say iced two times two times? I don't work there, just a regular.
- jason469, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Dunkin Donuts is way better than Starbucks. I hardly drink coffee anymore, but Dunkin Donuts beats out that over priced POS you call Starbucks. Maybe it's a New England (North Eastern U.S.) thing, but I think Donkin Donuts makes better coffee.
- edwartica, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I never have either! I don't even use a cell phone behind the wheel. Granted, I use automobiles a lot less than most people because they're bad for the enviroment, but still...
- lyphstylz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Bailey's AND Jameson's! I would start my day no other way, well, maybe with a 50 piece...
- TheWretched, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Starbucks
- ahawks, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Yeah, all the sugar (or aspartame if it's diet) in that sort of counter-acts the caffeine goodness.
