- shadycuz, on 11/19/2008, -6/+152Woah woah wait a second. In school they told us pot killed brain cells, and now it triggers the formation of new ones? While all my friends were getting high I was on the computer programming. Now I'm 18 with no friends. WTF? Epic ____
- inactive, on 11/20/2008, -9/+129Obligatory: Legalize it.
- CalltoSanity, on 11/19/2008, -5/+98From the article "It is important for people to note that these treatments are not same as recreational cannabis use which can be potentially harmful.'
BS, the Big Pharma companies don't want you to grow it in your backyard therefore cutting out their profits. - psychosatori, on 11/19/2008, -4/+66I may have lots of friends...but your probably not behind on your rent.
- johndi, on 11/20/2008, -5/+65There is almost a cosmic irony in something that can cause and prevent memory loss.
- obscenegrace, on 11/20/2008, -3/+51***** Alzheimer's disease! In fact, I think I'll take a preventative treatment right now!
- BoneheadFarker, on 11/20/2008, -3/+49Thinking back to my childhood, this is a little sad and ironic given Reagan's stance on the marijuana...
- lilhelper, on 11/20/2008, -5/+45NICE!
LEGALIZE IT!
THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A DEATH DIRECTLY CAUSED BY MARIJUANA, unlike our friends in the tobacco... - shadycuz, on 11/20/2008, -0/+33Well if you get evicted you can move in with me? Then we both win.
- sarchosis, on 11/20/2008, -1/+30So now that America isn't so easily influenced by racist paper tycoons, we're finding that cannabis is pretty much a miracle drug. So why's it still illegal?
- ProfessorLX, on 11/19/2008, -4/+32cure glaucoma, slows or stops tumor growth and now this, is there anything this miracle drug cant do!?!?!
- RudeTurnip, on 11/20/2008, -1/+29That ***** got his come-uppance. ***** Nancy, too. This would have helped my grandmother before she died of Alzheimers.
- DangerCollie, on 11/20/2008, -1/+27What? And stop filling up prisons as fast as we can build them with people guilty of minor pot possession?
You, sir, are obviously no prison industry executive. - Junior612, on 11/20/2008, -3/+26Why would I want to take a pill if I could just smoke it?
- kevlar21, on 11/20/2008, -1/+24Cause it's a positive thing perhaps?
- NickLee808, on 11/20/2008, -0/+22It not only forms new brain cells, but new friendships as well!
- NJMtwtd, on 11/20/2008, -1/+23
'What we are saying its that it appears that a safe, legal substance that mimics the important properties of marijuana can work on the brain to prevent memory impairments in ageing. So that's really hopeful.'
What's really hopeful is that cannabis is a safe substance; just make it legal. - GenericJoshman, on 11/20/2008, -1/+22Real pot smokers only enjoy the finer things...Like whatever the ***** is in the cupboard.
- dasdef, on 11/20/2008, -0/+20that girl has rockin *****.
- mamboboy, on 11/20/2008, -1/+21My gran is showing rapid signs of dementia at the moment. She believes people are 'living' in her house during the night, that photographs are real (she tries to feed them) and that her now deceased husband is still alive and cheating on her. And although she acknowledges that all these things are impossible, she still phones numerous times throughout the day in a blind panic because of it.
To me it sounds pretty fun. But hell, if smoking a spliff can lessen her TRIP then I need to get her hooked up with some green! - dav3k, on 11/20/2008, -1/+20So because weed helps something, we're going to make a pill that's NOT weed, to help that same thing.
Didn't we learn our lesson with marinol? - karmarhino, on 11/20/2008, -2/+21Why bother doing research for creating a suitable pill? Just let the old folks smoke it, and be done with it.
- BaudiIROCZ, on 11/20/2008, -1/+20"My short term memory is gone but my long term's far from dead." - Alkaline Trio
This quote seems to apply. - inactive, on 11/20/2008, -2/+19and morningstar buffalo wings... they're the ***** when you're.... tired.... and overworked, yeah.
- Lionhart, on 11/20/2008, -2/+18Yeah you guys are all FAKE pot smokers!
Get over yourself, elitist pothead. - edsmith, on 11/20/2008, -6/+22Don't blame me, I voted for Barr.
- cryptomystic, on 11/20/2008, -1/+172 words: Big Pharma
- ginogrz, on 11/20/2008, -0/+15That's funny because there's a head shop by where I live called Dementia.
- zerries, on 11/20/2008, -3/+18At least I'm doing one healthy thing in my life.
- drgkstep, on 11/20/2008, -6/+21YAY! Substituting short term memory loss for....short term memory loss! Horay!
- RSS14, on 11/20/2008, -1/+16Liar! Who is that girl with big ***** on your digg profile picture?
- thetedster180, on 11/20/2008, -0/+14Mine too. People who support prohibition disgust me.
- Elderon, on 11/20/2008, -0/+14Yeah, they lied to you. The government lies a lot. I remember in school in dare listening how ecstasy eats holes in your brain. They had brain scans and everything to prove it. Then I found out later that the study that supposedly "proved" how dangerous it was had actually used crystal meth instead of mdma.
It's hard to take any anti-drug propaganda seriously anymore. - positron, on 11/20/2008, -1/+15Oil Industry, Big Pharma, Prison Industrial Complex, Drug Enforcement Funding, Ignorant Religious "Conservatives", Politics
- Barackalypse, on 11/20/2008, -2/+16So instead of Grandma asking me to repeat stuff and acting strangely because she has dementia and forgot what I said, she'll ask me to repeat stuff and act strangely because she's high?
- Fun4Two, on 11/20/2008, -0/+13Because its Marijuana
- inactive, on 11/20/2008, -1/+14According to these recent weed articles, marijuana saves lives, and the inevitable: makes saved lies better. so why isn't it legalized yet? why are we funding a war on ***** drugs?
- clawzkatt, on 11/20/2008, -2/+15diet and exercise do not cause dementia. :)
- BlueStreak69, on 11/20/2008, -1/+14Stoners are the nicest people ever!
- tgc1, on 11/20/2008, -2/+15Legalize this ***** already.
- inactive, on 11/20/2008, -1/+13Let's test that theory, I have a lab. I'll need you to bring an attractive female, I'll handle the rest and post my results... on redtube.
- clawzkatt, on 11/20/2008, -1/+13well then i'm safe i suppose. hehe.
(Alzheimers is an awful disease.)
.-. - Derrekito, on 11/20/2008, -0/+11and alcohol.

This is an awful disease. - Garofoli, on 11/20/2008, -5/+16What can't it do that's beneficial to society?
- joshmoney, on 11/20/2008, -1/+12As simple as your answer sounds it actually sums up the opponents argument pretty well!
- inactive, on 11/20/2008, -2/+13you still have your mum though.
