Cancer Scare Causes Nalgene to Pull Plastic Bottles

blog.sierratradingpost.com — Nalgene recently announced they are pulling their hard-plastic bottles from shelves nationwide in the next few months. The polycarbonate plastic bottles, made with bishephonol A (BPA), have been found to cause cancer and increase risks of other serious health problems.

  • viciouspictures, on 04/23/2008, -0/+1i'm pretty sure most automatic drop coffee makers have BPA in their filter baskets... which means boiling hot water washes over it every time you make a pot- that has to be even worse. down with plastic!
