- usernr1337, on 06/19/2009, -41/+331this can't be true cuz we all would be fat... plus we don't have to work out for every calorie we take in, we use them to survive (LOL)...
- sweetpickle, on 06/19/2009, -5/+247How much calories do I burn to lift and rotate my monitor in order to read this chart?
- EggAndMuffin, on 06/20/2009, -5/+200Sex version:
http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/4345/sexcalorie ... - marytormey, on 06/19/2009, -5/+174Yes but most of those people would not understand this diagram anyway
- aussiejan, on 06/19/2009, -5/+168What you say is true, however, many people think they can eat a double burger, fries and a shake for lunch and work it off with a 20 minute walk.
- woolylambkin, on 06/20/2009, -2/+123I only eat bacon by the pound though...
- Tanktunker, on 06/20/2009, -2/+117The diagram is (maybe?) accurate, but your body burns up to 2000 or so calories due to your organs functioning and whatnot.
- RusskiGuy, on 06/20/2009, -7/+116Buried for exaggeration. It should include the calories the body naturally burns during the day.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basal_metabolic_rate <-If that was included, the rest of it would not look nearly as impressive. - bradhunt5, on 06/20/2009, -2/+108what I do to your mum
- TSCheredar, on 06/19/2009, -8/+114They forgot: "One Slice of Bacon"
- premiumballin, on 06/20/2009, -0/+105Fixed.

- RobNyack, on 06/20/2009, -0/+97I've burned 500 calories trying to understand what this chart is telling me
- dafragsta, on 06/20/2009, -3/+95Why do people use a difficult-to-read circle graph instead of a ***** bar graph which would be 10x easier to compare against the other results. Oh, trendy graph trends, when will your trendiness finally exceed your usefulness as a graph?
This graph also assumes that you will burn no calories throughout the natural course of the day. *****, even sleeping burns some calories. - vigilof00l, on 06/20/2009, -1/+75wtf is a bodypump?
- RusskiGuy, on 06/20/2009, -3/+76Righting comments must be a feature unique to Chrome...
- uptwolait, on 06/20/2009, -2/+63"Look at the pretty colored circles"
...wiping the ketchup and mayonnaise from the corners of my mouth - Oogler, on 06/20/2009, -6/+65I still don't understand.
- ghatid, on 06/20/2009, -1/+55I've always found it interesting how many calories our body uses in a day regularly compared to how many calories our body uses while exercising. For example, lets say your body uses 2,500 calories a day, but if you run a mile (after I run a mile, I'm super duper tired vs. just sitting around :-D) you only use 100 calories (estimated).
You can look at it in 2 ways:
1. Humans are really inefficient because it takes us a huge amount of energy to just sit around
2. Humans are really efficient once you get us started.
It's pretty cool.
Either way, when you guys right comments with Chrome, does the box constantly resize? It's really annoying, how do I fix this? - Frostek, on 06/20/2009, -1/+532600 calories for a single pizza seems way too high, unless they're talking about some giant 18-inch diameter pizza meant for 4 people which some fat bastard eats by himself.

- kahlessreborn, on 06/20/2009, -4/+48All of these figures are of course after your BMR uses the calories you use to umm survive:

is it a CRT, LCD or did you get your hands on an OLED monitor? - inactive, on 06/20/2009, -0/+40Who eats ONE slice of bacon? Who??
- chicbicyclist, on 06/20/2009, -6/+37This is one of the reasons why changing my diet for good was so easy. Every time I wanted a cookie, I just thought of how much work I have to do just to burn it off(close to an hour of brisk walking).
I've lost close to 30 lbs already and I'm doing weight training now. I actually have trouble eating enough food to build those sexy muscles because I rarely feel the cravings nowadays. - MargotCross, on 06/20/2009, -2/+33i hope typing turns out to be aerobic exercise
- Tanktunker, on 06/20/2009, -3/+33Micheal Phelps needs the excess calories because he exercises alot.
Not because his organs are mutated and overgrown. - brownsound00, on 06/20/2009, -0/+25Resting Basal Metabolism, it's beautiful.
- gl77, on 06/20/2009, -0/+24its the ONLY way to eat pizza.
- jakereilly, on 06/20/2009, -1/+25Somebody who dies of a heart attack after eating just one slice of bacon.
- Hellahulla, on 06/20/2009, -2/+25What kind of ***** up fat laden pizza has 2500 calories in it?
- inactive, on 06/20/2009, -0/+22They forgot 12 beers

Pappa John's large Pan crust pepperoni pizza
410 calories per slice
8 slices per pie
3280 calories per pizza
Thin crust and Whole wheat are lower in calories. - crimsonc, on 06/20/2009, -0/+21How many vitamins and neutriants are you getting though? Okay, you may not be fat but keep it up and your body will start falling apart by 30-35.
Your body needs certain things to operate properly and often they do not coincide with what you think tastes nice. At the very least eat one piece of fruit and take a vitamin pill every day, how hard would that be? You might even survive an extra 5-10 years. - bearzly, on 06/20/2009, -1/+224 hours of running for one pizza? Uh-oh
- johnb41, on 06/20/2009, -0/+20About the pizza... It's talking about a WHOLE pizza, not a slice. A typical slice of plain pizza (Dominos, "The Hut") has about 300-350 calories. At 8 slices for a pizza, 2600 sounds about right.
So that chart is very misleading. It should list pizza for a single slice serving, not a whole pizza, since all the other foods are single servings. Who eats a whole pizza? - yongfook, on 06/20/2009, -4/+22I think the most efficient way to burn calories is to sit here and try to actually understand that chart. Seriously, what?
- bob1029, on 06/20/2009, -4/+22Not entirely accurate, doesn't take into account basal metabolic rate etc... but it is fairly accurate in terms of these basic activities vs burning those number of calories in an exclusive nature.
I find that since I've been going to the gym and actually lifting heavy ***** for about an hour a day 5 days a week, I can eat anything I want (3+ kcal a day), drink a bit on weekends and STILL maintain a very nice physique. The only issue is to make sure the protein intake is balanced properly against fat and carb intake. I try for 40/40/20% protein/carb/fat if possible.
For those of you who bitch about not being able to lose weight even though you are visiting the gym, I know who you are. You are the ***** who go and walk on the treadmill for 30 minutes or dick around on the selectorized machines then leave without even breaking a sweat. Try throwing some 20kg/45lb plates on a bar and doing some squats/deadlifts/press/bench and see if your luck changes (I'd bet serious money it does).
Since this is Digg, I fully expect to get buried to the 7th layer of hell for recommending heavy lifting or a basic dietary guideline. - HUFF1972, on 06/20/2009, -2/+20I’m glad I finished my bag of Maltesers before I read this.

- asgardshill, on 06/20/2009, -1/+14Does this graph come with an instruction manual so you can actually figure out how to read the ***** thing?
- TheGooseyOne, on 06/20/2009, -0/+13Walking 20 min. after eating a meal like that is infinitely better than sitting around on your ass playing Zelda after.
