- WillSunrider, on 02/23/2009, -1/+206Britain's 2nd fattest teenager must be feeling pretty crappy just about now.
- AquaOSX, on 02/23/2009, -0/+91If your midnight snack consists of frozen burger patties, perhaps you should stop stocking your fridge with frozen burger patties.
- playscape, on 02/23/2009, -5/+93THAT'S the fattest teenager? She's fat but she would fit in with a lot of people here in the States.
- xtmno3, on 02/23/2009, -4/+76She said: “I’ve discovered a whole new world. I’m out every weekend clubbing. I’ve had a lot more boyfriends because I feel much more attractive and confident.”
She lost this weight in a year. One year. In that time she has since replaced the hedonistic pursuit of food with that of attention from men. Sounds like she has it all on track now. - baramunchies, on 02/23/2009, -6/+77how about using kilo instead of stone or pound or whatever? wtf is a stone?
- jamesdew, on 02/23/2009, -3/+58Damn British people using a British measurement on their British website that is owned by a British newspaper on a story about a British girl.
- digitalMessiah, on 02/23/2009, -0/+50Congratulations, you have been promoted to #1
- zombiecarlin, on 02/23/2009, -3/+51- I think it went more like this: "When I was seven and too young to know any better my ***** parents negleted me by allowing me to eat nothing but *****".
- DaltonZ, on 02/23/2009, -10/+53Dude. She was, sorry to say, pretty messed up. She couldn't even be bothered to cook the ***** food? She just warmed it up until it was pliable enough to chew? I mean, it's great that she lost that much weight (due to surgery), but I have absolutely no sympathy for people who get that large in the first place.
- bigpappapunk, on 02/23/2009, -0/+41My thoughts exactly....the pic they have actually has her standing, i wasn't impressed.
- zosoIV, on 02/23/2009, -15/+55Congratulations on losing weight! Oh wait, it was a bypass surgery. She sure tried very hard to lose all those pounds...
- hiPpymIck, on 02/23/2009, -0/+38this is the British tabloid press
they *specialize* in shock horror - the more outrageous the better - Chompy, on 02/23/2009, -0/+31They can't escape her gravity well.
- SamSlater, on 02/23/2009, -4/+32Lost 280 pounds, eh?
What, on the horses? - tgjerusalem, on 02/23/2009, -7/+35Have some compassion for this poor girl. The kind of eating described in the article is an eating disorder on par with severe anorexia. It's not simple over indulgence, it's an incredibly dangerous compulsive disorder, literally a food addiction. Given her desperate hunger and inability to feel full, she probably has physical conditions that conditions that contributed to it too.
You can tell an alcoholic that in order to overcome their addiction they can never touch alcohol again, because they can't have one drink without following it with ten more. But some are so severely, compulsively addicted that they need additional medical help - it's not a lack of willpower or a moral failing, it's just the severity of their disease.
A person compulsively addicted to food can't be told they can never eat again. In such extreme cases, surgery that makes it possible to eat but impossible to overeat can be the only option. It saved her life. - phreak79, on 02/23/2009, -5/+32Gotta be some saggy skin left after that op.
- Finalreminder, on 02/23/2009, -1/+27I must admit when I visit the US of A I'm impressed by how much you guys can shovel down.
Mind you, the portions you get in cafe's and restraunts over there is absolutely astounding.
I bet when you guys come to the UK or Europe you feel totally ripped off lol!
Try the Eurodiet holiday. - Gguillorn, on 02/23/2009, -2/+28Nothing more dangerous than a fat girl with renewed self-confidence...
- Zervaman, on 02/23/2009, -2/+28Australia is actually the fattest country in the world. Please do some research before stating your "facts."

Alot more boyfriends? - Chompy, on 02/23/2009, -0/+24Time to start punching out more chavs, it's the Circle of Life!
- 3gibberish4q57, on 02/23/2009, -0/+23"A piece of rock or hard mineral substance (other than metal), of small to moderate size"?
- xsecretfiles, on 02/23/2009, -12/+34She still looks fat.........
- chriscalifornia, on 03/31/2009, -16/+38"When I was seven my parents separated and I got fatter" - I think it went more like this: "When I was seven I continued to eat copious amounts of fried chicken, disregarding my health and wellbeing and I got fatter."
- IAmTheGuy, on 02/23/2009, -2/+20There are two things us Americans are good at. Spending more than we earn and eating.
- thephosphorbox, on 02/23/2009, -1/+18Or : "I'm looking for an excuse to make me feel better about the poor eating/lifestyle choices I've made so I think I'll blame my parents divorce since society sees that event as absolving me of wrongdoing."
- Gguillorn, on 02/23/2009, -2/+19I don't know why you're getting dugg down, she did nothing to be glorified for. Being at a normal weight is not something to be amazed at.
- ba5e, on 02/23/2009, -3/+19burried for News Of The World
- mushoo, on 02/23/2009, -0/+16Thank you, 15+ comments before we got a well thought out rational comment.
It's hard to imagine being in this teen's position, but after looking over the list of the food items she consumed in a day you'd have to be severely lacking in critical thinking skills to not realize that she has a disease and can't help herself.
I don't know about any of you but after eating one king size Mars bar I wouldn't even be into the second bite of another one before I would start feeling queasy or outright vomit. I can't even begin to imagine eating 10 regular size ones plus 8 king size ones, much less all the other stuff she ate.
Like tgjerusalem says, give the poor chick a break. - psykiv, on 02/23/2009, -5/+20So she ate 30 (counting the king size ones as two) chocolate bars every day? We're talking about 270 calories each.
8 Liters of Coca Cola? According to my calculations thats a notch over 3,000 calories just in soda.
I think I just figured out how she could shave 11,100 calories off her daily caloric intake. Skip the ***** candy and stick to diet sodas. Candy has pretty much zero nutritional value. At least everything else has some sort of nutritional value.
Btw 34 stone = 374 lbs So now she's 196 lbs? I still wouldn't qualify that as skinny... - scalded, on 02/23/2009, -1/+16"there is probably teenagers"
Your schools haven't done you any favors. FACT - gcnaddict, on 02/23/2009, -2/+17Some people are missing a critical gene which is necessary for creating a hormone which signals fullness. These people perpetually feel not just hungry, but *starved* even though they are eating much more food than they need. As a result, they're likely to resort to violence in an attempt to get food because the food is available but they can never feel full. This hormone has not been reproduced and likely will not be reproduced at an economical rate because of the sheer complexity of creating the hormone.. This was likely her case.
Your sheer ignorance with the possibility that this could be a sickness astounds and depresses me. - WeaselMan69, on 02/23/2009, -0/+15Looking at her daily eating habits, she must have spent a fortune on food.
- renesisx, on 02/23/2009, -0/+13Having recently moved from the UK to the USA, it is so damned hard to stop becoming a fatty automatically. The portion sizes at restaurants are generally twice the size of UK portions (and often half the price). I have to remember to try and order everything in half-sized portions!
- inactive, on 02/23/2009, -1/+14lol "stone" thats even more quaint than the Americans with their ancient measuring units.
- MrBabyManSTFU, on 02/23/2009, -1/+1314lbs for the too lazy to Google crowd.
- andyb747, on 02/23/2009, -0/+12that made me laugh
- geesamba, on 02/23/2009, -2/+14At 34 stone (476 lbs), she would have been "average" in an American psychology/eating disorder healthcare center. And that's truly sad.
- Chompy, on 02/23/2009, -1/+13Yeah see here in the US she'd be dead before her HMO finished drafting the second rejection letter.
/Wooo
//America ***** Yeah - feliks2, on 02/23/2009, -2/+13You were going good, until you reffered to that thing as a "girl."
- gonzoceltic, on 02/23/2009, -1/+12Zervaman is right -- America is no longer the fattest nation.
- mouthymadness, on 02/23/2009, -0/+11Second place is the first loser.
- Chompy, on 02/23/2009, -3/+13..with a lorry.
- computershack, on 02/23/2009, -0/+10It's funny that our food is ***** yet you need our chefs to come over and teach your catering establishments how to cook.
- hiPpymIck, on 02/23/2009, -0/+10to be fair
they used to just gleefully report weird stuff
but nowadays theres often a message of hope included
eg
in the video she explains how hard it is to loose weight but she saw her doctor and a nutritionist and sticks with a healthy balanced diet and she now has boyfriends and goes clubbing
- having said that i really didnt need the details about removing half her intestines and so now all the food she eats pretty much comes out the same as it went in - - tgjerusalem, on 02/23/2009, -0/+10Would you recommend trying to cure anorexia by humiliating and screaming at patients to eat?
- Po0py, on 02/23/2009, -1/+10Eight king size Mars bars for breakfast!
- Teh1337Pirate, on 02/23/2009, -0/+9@MrChunks it's not about being tight, it's not the publics responsibility to pay for someone's surgery because they can't control themself.
- ZachiusMaximus, on 02/23/2009, -1/+9Why do fat girls give good head?
Because they have to - MrHighTech, on 02/23/2009, -0/+8They use Mile's what exactly ?
