- jiminmo, on 08/19/2008, -0/+1I hope people get the message from the article that "Fitness is Important" and not "There's no health risk to being overweight". That being said, as long as there's a correlation between BMI and chronic disease, and measuring fitness requires the associates at our company to do a monitored treadmill walk we're going to stick with the BMI measurement.
- hiramperez, on 08/19/2008, -1/+2Most of the height/weight charts that are still in use today were developed in the 50's and aren't the best indicator of fitness. This article stresses that it's more important to be healthy than it is to be slim. So keep eating the right foods, exercise, and don't stress over a couple of extra pounds!
