- axisofphilippe, on 10/10/2007, -2/+16Did they really have to do a study on this? I could have told you that eating stinky food makes your breath stink.
- PurpZeY, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13In related news this just in -- Smoking causes cancer, and later in this broadcast we will find out that contrary to popular belief the Earth actually rotates around the Sun.
- Andrewmatt, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10After eating a meal that includes onions I usually swish with some bourbon, take a few shots of the remaining bottle, smoke a cigarette and go back to work. No one has ever complained.
- DeskFlyer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9BRUSH YOUR TEETH!
- mojaam, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8Almost sound like you can't eat anything. Just carry powerful breath mints or something and brush a few times a day. Still good to know all that bacteria information though.
- nonokiaboy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7The tidbit about this article sounds like some soft-softcore porn fantasy the author had been toying with. At my job there are no (hot) girls. Damned IT department.
I spend most of my day looking at the digg rss, and hoping that it will refresh with new content. I also do some work from a time to time. I suppose breakfast is important - however I prefer an extra 15 mins of sleep... :) - Ludnix, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Brushing your teeth and flossing would certainly help.
- beasty_dave_Mk2, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5This is a ***** commercial you muppets.
- Pushkin, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5"If you can't stay way from the garlic, onions and other stench-creating foods, Katz said to use an oxygenating mouthwash and toothpaste."
So he just whips one out he prepared earlier:
"Katz, creator of TheraBreath System formulas, said oxygen compounds in the mouthwash and toothpaste attach themselves to the sulfur compounds and create a non-odorous compound."
And to nail it
"Mouthwashes that contain alcohol defeat the purpose by creating a dry mouth, Katz said."
Must.buy.TheraBreath. - dawesdust12, on 10/10/2007, -3/+7I hear hookers do the trick.

- alexforcefive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3That was the worst porn film ever
"Hey sexy lady, wanna OH HOLY ***** WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN EATING?? Cut!" - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Just..........HOW?
Front page.....really?
Im shocked. - kaworu517, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Haha...Dr. Katz.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Your moms doesn't count.
- Vich, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3There is a formula McDonalds add to everything to make it taste distinctly McDonalds. That is what causes the smell. This substance, which is actually unknown to mankind is possibly pickle juice. I think your best bet is to drink water and consume other foods to try and force the vile stuff out of your system before it takes over.
- insomniac8400, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4Hydrogen peroxide is like a dollar a bottle and is the same thing as those "expensive" mouthwashes. Mix with water and swish it around. A dollar bottle lasts a month.
- Farticus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2It's not my breath that has people's eyes watering...
- Carsonauto, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2If I am what I eat, then I'm cheap, easy and fattening
- AeonTorpor, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2To omit that the FSM does indeed fly is a sacrilege to his noodly appendages!
- icoms, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3FLOSS TOO!
- Myztry, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2So much for using alcohol to sterilize things. Now I'll need a new excuse for a few drinks after work...
Personally I find the easiest way to tell if the food you eat is bad, is by the 'doggy farts' that start escaping... - venom8599, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Until the intervention...
- kalkin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1well according to this article you should be avoiding garlic, onions, curry, milk, cheese, yogurt, coffee, candy, gum, sugar and alcoholic drinks. but on the plus side you can eat celery, cucumbers, grapes, zucchini, carrots, watermelons and strawberries.
- Zedtech, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yyRMuseEW8 would be a bit more appropriate....
- IllBeBack, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1And always floss after every meal and at least rinse your mouth out with water. Brushing your teeth, tongue, and the roof of your mouth do help a lot too.
- Absolut352, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I eat lots and lots of pussy. Does that mean I am one?
- diggdeep, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1But is it flat?
- KevenM, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Nothing beats the post Big Mac breath. That's how my wife always knows if I had McDonald's earlier in the day. Nothing gets that out. (though if there are, gimme a tip, I'll be grateful)
- Dradu, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1*whoosh*
- deathproof, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2this is the dumbest ***** article. i bet some fat beady eyed housewife in suburbia reads this while nodding her head. stupid ***** news
- ladyarcher85, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1There are just others that suffer from halitosis and its not just because they ate something that caused it.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Use peroxide as a mouthwash. Yes, seriously.
- JohnnyXmas, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1So. . . pungent foods give you pungent breath? PREPOSTEROUS!
- Matt174e, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I don't know. I never really had to think about it before.
- Frisbinator, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I don't care if you're Claudia Schiffer, if you have bad breath, you're repulsive as far as I'm concerned. I find bad breath disgusting. And no, not ALL adults have bad breath.
- dime, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Brush your tongue and drinks lots of water.
Problem solved. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1The ultimate question, is...is she hot?
- SmilingJess, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Thats why I always bring a toothbrush to work with me.
- Carsonauto, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Are you Chinese?
- lagrange, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2Teeth have nothing to do with it, its all in the stomach. I used to have a roommate who stank like ASS anytime he ate any garlic. It was not even a garlic smell, something about his body chemistry just turned it into pure ass stench the second it hit his stomach.
- The_Dude, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1You could always stop eating the crap from McD's.
- cmiller1, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1What are you talking about? The article had a specific list of foods that are great for your breath: cucumbers, grapes, melon, etc.
- Vich, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1breath mints contain sugar, which feeds the bacteria that generate bad odors.
- eyepower, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0DING DING DING DING You are the WINNER!
- sophia269, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0thats not necessarily apply on all, one of my friend have this bad breath problem whatever he eat or not...
