- ChrisOrr, on 04/23/2009, -0/+106If they want kids not to use drugs they should MAKE them smoke salvia. That ***** is ***** up.
- rswelling, on 04/23/2009, -2/+54At first I thought it said "Saliva"...and wondered who would purchase some spit, and why.
- tourettes1992, on 04/23/2009, -0/+46I turned into a ***** ladder and was sent back to the year 1989 when I smoked salvia.
- bentaisan, on 04/23/2009, -2/+47I am in favor of restricting the sale of illicit drugs to minors and legalization for adults.
- ITdude472, on 04/23/2009, -0/+37I agree, salvia extract really makes your world turn upside down. It's actually the only drug I've done and not wanted to try again.
- EMFK, on 04/23/2009, -3/+40I know it isn't cool to mention this to lawmakers, but a lot of the 'herbs' they want to criminalize have been used for years, some even centuries, to cure ailments. There are many people that use certain herbs specifically for medicinal purposes. Salvia's medicinal potential will be stunted completely with the criminalizing of it. They'll start with the focus on 'keeping it away from kids', but the ultimate goal is to criminalize it for everyone.
- bkienzle22, on 04/23/2009, -3/+34sounds fair enough to me.
- angusm, on 04/23/2009, -2/+32As far as I can see, the most addictive drug on the market is power, and some of our lawmakers seem to be completely hooked on it.
- TheNyquilKid, on 04/23/2009, -1/+25Now to teach you boys a lesson, me and officer Rabbit are going to stand here while you boys smoke the whole bag.
- Gimpi, on 04/23/2009, -0/+22You think?
- PlatinumOGKush, on 04/23/2009, -4/+23Little kids should probably not be smoking salvia, but 21? Definitely too old. Try at 18 the most.
- freezerburn666, on 04/23/2009, -1/+20somehow i get the feeling that there are not too many people hooked on salvia for it to be a problem.
- maceelk, on 04/23/2009, -0/+19Beyond the Drug argument, Why are we starting to define those in the 18-20 crowd as minors? I hate that we treat tax payers of that age as sub-adults, yet not children.
- Jammypac, on 04/23/2009, -1/+20I see nothing wrong with this. Twelve year olds being able to buy it is just plain wrong. You're an adult and want to buy/smoke it? Be my guest.
- b9gh47q, on 04/23/2009, -0/+18That's just crazy enough to work!
- 666300, on 04/23/2009, -0/+15I totally agree, once was enough for me.
- TomGfromCanada, on 04/23/2009, -1/+16damn, the USA hates plants.
- inactive, on 04/23/2009, -0/+12Wait till they get to around to water and dirt.
- LaoSoup, on 04/23/2009, -3/+14Pretty dumb to give more attention to the drug, making people more aware of it when they're trying to ban it.
Screw morning glory seeds, salvia here i come! - Polycarp87, on 04/23/2009, -2/+11If they are worried about the effects of smoking Salvia on the immature minds of those under 21, why are they not worried about the effects of a tour in Iraq on 17 year olds?
- zinc6471, on 04/23/2009, -1/+10Hawaiian Baby Woodrose seeds .... just 10-15 ....
- Amlethus, on 04/23/2009, -1/+9Salvia is perfectly safe! Just check out this instructional video:
Gardening on salvia! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVllL4tNZsI - anexanhume, on 04/23/2009, -3/+11I think we should ban selling saliva to anyone, of any age. What a terrible, terrible band.
- Mittens27, on 04/23/2009, -1/+8You can hardly move when you're on salvia, it's not like people are going to be jumping in front of buses in some salvia induced hysteria.
- Polycarp87, on 04/23/2009, -2/+9In moderation it is ok. You have to smoke enough to feel it but not so much that you lose touch with reality completely. Usually two good hits from a bong and you should just stop and enjoy the disassociative ride for a few minutes.
Most people try to smoke it like weed, and then they end up crawling across a park bench towards you grasping at your legs and slowly repeating "help me.....save me" while staring at you out of bloodshot, tormented eyes.
This is sometimes referred to as a "bad trip". - inactive, on 04/23/2009, -0/+7Make it 18.
- elshanero, on 04/23/2009, -2/+9It grows from the earth. How can you make it illegal? You are now claiming a right over me that you do not have. This is a ridiculous conversation. What does it mean to be free?
- NikoKun, on 04/23/2009, -3/+10Everyone knows I'm all for legalizing such things.
But this isn't that bad of a move... I mean, those who are underage shouldn't have that stuff to begin with.
Age restrictions are an important regulation for any legal recreational drug. - inactive, on 04/23/2009, -2/+8It's like really ***** acid that (thankfully) doesn't last nearly as long.
- paperclipsNsoup, on 04/23/2009, -0/+6@Visarga,
I see someone has never seen Super Troopers... Great movie to watch and have a literacola - alenade, on 04/23/2009, -3/+9It's not like salvia's good or anything. Five minutes of shapes and then a big nap. OOH!
- PhreakMac, on 04/23/2009, -0/+6Actually there are several studies that show Salvia greatly reduces withdrawl symptoms from opiates(IE heroin)
Sounds like some pretty useful stuff if that is true,. - eadnams, on 04/23/2009, -0/+6as I recall, its counter-addictive... takes less to get more effect the more you do it, and you can't OD as you lose consciousness long before its even remotely toxic.
- FuzzplugJones, on 04/23/2009, -1/+7Same here. I thought I had missed out on a great moneymaking opportunity.
- glasnostic, on 04/23/2009, -1/+7go to your local head shop.. if you are in a state with no laws against it, they will have it..
talk to the guy behind the counter.. tell him its your first time.. he should recommend the lower grade stuff..
buy some...
smoke it
have fun trying to figure out what the hell just happened to you. - onlysc, on 04/23/2009, -1/+6so, i don't really know anything about this salvia stuff. can you buy it if you are over 21? who sells it and what does it do? i guess i'm old and out of the loop
- inactive, on 04/23/2009, -2/+7@EMFK
What medicinal potential? - FishThePirate, on 04/23/2009, -0/+5I've watched my friend climb into a giant, pink, rubber bus filled with insect-people then drive away over a woman who was wearing the landscape like a dress.
I guess results may vary. - tnarugby, on 04/23/2009, -2/+7So can war
But we dont stop them there - glasnostic, on 04/23/2009, -3/+8i disagree.. i dont think kids should be drinking either.. or buying pot at the local quickie mart.
salvai is for adults...
kids are still going to try it anyway.. just no need to make it easy for them to get their hands on it. - Sagags, on 04/23/2009, -0/+5wtf are you talking about? do you really think if its legal a parent cant stop a kid from using it?
by that logic a parent couldn't stop their 5 year old from buying ice cream because its their "right". - NikoKun, on 04/23/2009, -0/+5Yeah, I gave it a chance... tried it a few times... but each time was uncomfortable and unpleasant. Beyond it's religious and possible medical uses, it's not a very good recreational drug... Unless you like feeling uncomfortable, unpleasant, scared ***** by hallucinations, confused and sometimes completely tripping out of your mind.lol
Still it shouldn't be flat out banned... This was a smart move on Arizona's part, if all they are doing is putting an age restriction on it. - glasnostic, on 04/23/2009, -1/+6done it a few times.. had some crazy experiences, but it is by far the most satiating drug i have ever tried..
one hit and i'm usually done for a good long while..
though next time i try it im going to go for the prolonged low dose to try and get a little more of a handel on it..
btw.. a whippet while on salvia is quite interesting. - hhhh64, on 04/23/2009, -0/+5I'm surprised they aren't just outlawing it all together. They'd certainly have a stronger case against it than marijuana (even though it really isn't dangerous). I mean, my friends literally thought they were in HELL when they did it. For me, I just thought all of reality was on a giant paper roll for 10 minutes. :p
- Pyehole, on 04/23/2009, -0/+5I don't understand what the issue is here, really. I would be upset were they banning it outright, instead they are taking a very reasonable stance that it shouldn't be sold to minors. The only real issue one could take on this is that it is 21 instead of 18.
- Enjoikr3w, on 04/23/2009, -0/+5Talking about weed in the same sentence as salvia is ***** retarded.
- mparker21311, on 04/23/2009, -0/+4Pfft... this is the funniest Salvia video I've seen.
http://www.ebaumsworld.com/video/watch/907731/
"I WANNA GET INSIDE OF A WHEEL!" - Sunscreen, on 04/23/2009, -1/+5Morning glory seeds are interesting. I ground up 500 and ate them a few weeks ago. I had some cool closed-eye visuals and breathing wall hallucinations. I also threw up...but it was worth it.
- mickstephenson, on 04/23/2009, -0/+4I ended up regaining control of my faculties a quibbering, sweaty, drooling mess naked in the bath tub, was fun. I believe also gnawing on the pipe with ash in my mouth and muttering something about gnomes. Seriously that ***** is the most ***** up I have ever been of anything, thank ***** it only lasts a few minutes.
