... like feeding the cat. - woobster, on 10/11/2007, -10/+56i would digg this, but im too lazy
- cavie2002, on 10/11/2007, -0/+34according to this article im a genius
- kcpwnsgman, on 10/11/2007, -2/+34sweet, yet an other article to go along with all the others (such as getting better sleep, and the many many program better articles) that I will bookmark yet never read again.
- nick2, on 10/11/2007, -1/+26Why is there a question in the title? Of course I am lazy!
- Irfit, on 10/11/2007, -0/+23"You’re feeling lazy right now, and reading blogs instead of doing what you’re supposed to be doing" ... damn, that blog is completely right
- Lister169, on 10/11/2007, -2/+24I...
- Genetico, on 10/11/2007, -1/+19"if I can finish the next item in five minutes, I get to go watch an episode of Gilmore Girls."
...if that's my reward I would want to procrastinate even more. - Rossoneri22, on 10/11/2007, -2/+20Put my television remote on my roof? What the ***** kind of retarded idea is that?
- slothchunk, on 10/11/2007, -5/+15agreed. can we get an audio-book version?
i need a break from all this typing. - oprahsTITS, on 10/11/2007, -4/+13laziness + drive = efficiency
- minorthreat, on 10/11/2007, -3/+11seriously... most of the time Im to lazy to digg the article up
- goblindegook, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9@SuperMoses: "[Insert lame ironic comment about laziness here]"
I see you're too lazy to make even a lame one up. Congrats. - kcpwnsgman, on 10/11/2007, -4/+10god most of everyone's jokes are so plain and boring, looks like everyone was lazy with those too....
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -5/+11I just read the title. Too lazy to read the rest of the article.
- Stevethegreat, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6I know it's common sense but all those self-help articles are useless, they may work for some but they won't for most. If you wait for an article to make you productive then chances are you don't care as much in the first place. There are two drives which make people productive: necessity and conformity, if those two are not enough for you then nothing is, you will remain lazy no matter what...
- laurarena, on 10/11/2007, -3/+8those feet gross me out.
- xShad0w, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6according to this article procrastinating is a good thing...so who are you going to listen to
- jklyon, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7Are you lazy?
Yes. - lintmonkey, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5...or get fired.
- goblindegook, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6digg still needs a delete comment button. *sigh*
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Like feeding grandpa.
- ferrija1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Give a lazy man a hard job and he'll find an easy way to do it.
- Jonny0stars, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3In regards to the not doing it option.
I always take that option and for some reason it never pays off. - Kazanoe, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Geez, Now I'm 5 mins late for work.
- Netrilix, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2RustedGod: Wouldn't it have been easier just to say "All squares are shapes, but not all shapes are squares"? I mean, if we're going for laziness here...
- crashflow, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2if I don't finish this article, I HAVE to watch an episode of Gilmore Girls.
now that's negative enforcement, but still a good incentive. - thetheaterimp, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2"Stall. Another good way to cross things off your to-do list without actually doing them is to not do them until they are no longer needed."
...wait, so you want me to procrastinate? - kalmi, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2If I can't finish the next item in five minutes, I must watch an episode of Gilmore Girls.
This is much more motivating :)
(at least for me) - inspecality, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2The author must really get jobs easily.
- po43292, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2You have to feed the cats or they can't write LOLcode.
- po43292, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2mouse button too hard to push....derrrrrrr
- rhoadesb, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Because we will all define lazy perhaps with slight differences, I think all human beings might be considered lazy by someone. For instance:
Let's say a man is a "workaholic" and generally works 12-16 hours a day, 7 days a week for months on end. But perhaps he does not put in enough time in another person's opinion working to understand some interpersonal relationship. This second person might say he is too lazy to. - cwcentral, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2No news here, please move along. Everyone is lazy--it's nature's intent.
Otherwise, the shortest distance between 2 points is a multi-point curve.
I always take it from my old mentor that the conservation of energy is the principle of maximum laziness. - mannymix03, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2With my new book, the government will PAY YOU TO EAT OATMEAL!
*takes off crazy suit with questions all over it* - mingistech, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I highlight the article... then select
Safari > Services > Speech > Start Speaking Text
I always do that for the long articles. - jayteeeeee, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2im digging this down. i tried that 'remote on the roof' trick, then it rained and i had to get up and drive all the way to radio shack.
- RustedGod, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3Just make sure you have that right, the article proposes that often, the smartest people are the laziest, but being one of the laziest people does not imply being one of the smartest. Also, not being one of the laziest will generally imply not being one of the smartest people. According to the article in that case, if you're a genius, then you're likely very lazy, but it says nothing of your intelligence given only that you're very lazy. Not to say that you're not a genius anyway. Just thought I'd point out that many diggers are trying to affirm the consequent here, i.e., where P implies Q, saying Q, therefore P, which is fallacious.
I think also the article seems to refer to a kind of weighted laziness, with the focus on expending intellectual effort over physical effort, where necessary, rather than just general sloth. Uh, efficient basically. - Jarasmen, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Articles like this suck. It's all "you're lazy, how to make yourself to do work". I don't WANT to do any work, I'm lazy, duh.
- banthis, on 10/11/2007, -3/+4Great Friken' Article!
- drexl, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I would comment but I'm to la
- antipax, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Hey, i really liked the advice he wrote there in the article. Being a procrastinator myself, I could relate. And learn.
- DannyB, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1This article is 100% worthless and a pile of *****. Lets take a look at his first suggestion about putting your remote on the roof. Wow, if you're lazy enough to even consider this, you would never have enough motivation to actually go up on the roof and put your remote up there. And that is what it comes down to folks, motivation. I'm lazy, I enjoy it very much, but am I too lazy to pay my internet bill? No, because I am motivated to pay it, I want to continue looking on digg everyday and hoping I don't see another one of these stupid articles.
- userax, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Laziness creating efficiency:
Give a man a fire and he'll be warm for a day.
Set a man on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life. - smileydude, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Author practices jumping rope with seaweed while work awaits
- Socksesaurus, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Nothing new in this article. If you are as brilliant and creative as the author claims lazy people are (or even if you're not), you will have already thought of everything that it suggests which is remotely useful. Try lifehacker.com for better stuff like this.

- Ridion, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0This really makes my laziness work for me... the whole "leave it till the last possible minute" and "procrastinate untill you don't need to do it anymore" wow... so productive!
