A Person in Britain is Diagnosed with Diabetes every 3 mins

dailymail.co.uk — The number of people diagnosed with diabetes has soared by 50 per cent in just a year. An analysis of official figures shows at least 150,000 new cases last year – up from 100,000 in 2007. It represents one new sufferer every three minutes.

    With 5 times as many people, you have more than 3 times as many recorded instances. And thats just for over 20 year olds!

Healthy foods are expensive because the government doesn't put large amounts of subsidies into fruits and vegetables, only meat. And that meat is just bought byy all of the fast food companies, and since it's cheap, we go there and buy that instead.

    If governments want to make their people healthier, they need to at least give us a chance to be able to afford healthy food without going broke because of it.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta, Georgia recently reported that an estimated 24 million people in the United States have diabetes. Diabetes prevention education is a must in developed western countries!

Coupled with the carbohydrate addiction that usually precedes type II diabetes there really is little hope of reversing this trend without substantial government intervention into the food industry and that's not going to happen before there's a crisis.
