So a black man in a poor neighborhood in DC (a city that is known to have a large AIDS problem, especially among the poor black community, and not to mention one of the highest crime rates in America) will have a shorter life expectancy than a man in a developed nation like India. So in other words the poor die before the rich because they live in a worse environment. Really? Nice job World Health Organization. You're really doing a bang-up job over there.

The article makes short mention of diet, only mentioning that proper diet is ignored by people in an unstable financial situation. Never once do they mention the advantage India has over everyone.

And we don't live in the 50's anymore, the 70% of the prison system that is black cannot be blamed entirely on racism. At some point the black culture is going to have to take some responsibility for itself, rather than blame whitey all the time. The people who actually fought for equality a few decades back would most likely be ashamed of the way black culture as a whole has turned out. The government has made every possible accommodation for blacks, in the past few years, now it's time for them to start fighting for themselves again.

As a hispanic (Puerto Rico), I can see and understand a bit why this is a problem. I have been blessed to have had two wonderful parents who actually cared about me when I was growing up and made sure I went to school, didn't get in any trouble, so on.
Unfortunately, many kids today don't have both parents, or in some cases even 1 of them to look out for them.

Prince George's County. DeKalb County. All of these places have "African-American" majorities, where they have a higher median income than "European-American" counterparts.
Oh, by the way, if you want to talk about "fixing six hundred years of ill treatment". How about this: living in America. Let me put this a way you'll understand. By taking black African slaves and putting them into the AMERICAN slave system, taken out of the conditions of African slavery [which existed way before the 1600's], it was already an increase in quality of living. They weren't subject to tribe warfare, they weren't sent off to the Middle East [even worse conditions for slaves than Africa]. Even as awful as slavery in America was, it was no where near as bad as slavery in Africa or the Middle East. Why do people seem to forget this?
If America's slavery never happened, and every African American in America was still living in Africa, I GUARANTEE to you that the vast majority of them would be trying to emigrate to America. They wouldn't be complaining about America's "terrible living conditions", arguing about how compensation is needed because of slavery - a problem which is still going on in most of their ancestor's home countries [not including the civil war or famines, that is].

The kids are brainwashed with that ***** music all day long. They think it's cool to be bad, just like a lot of people do, and a lot of the kids start listening to this music, which glorifies murder and drugs and the objectification of women, at a very young age. They deal with constant violence, drug abuse, alcohol abuse, physical abuse, molestation, neglect, one parent homes, getting "jacked" all the time for their possessions It is actually a status symbol to have been in jail. The crack dealers get more respect then the university grads. They consider "good" people as bitches, and intimidate them. You can't tell the cops ***** or they will get you back.
It does affect them(the music), regardless of what people say. These kids were doomed before they even started life, and a huge percentage of them have fetal alcohol syndrome, so they are ***** anyway. God it opened my eyes, and I realized that this was more then just coincidence that this ***** happened. It's no coincidence that since the almost revolution of 68 and the black rights movements, that the rich were trying to suppress the poor. If they fight among themselves, then they don't fight the government. Don't believe me? After public enemy came out demanding equal rights, NWA came out afterwards glorifying gang life. Pretty soon after that gangster rap is the most common mainstream hip hop out there. And don't forget crack and aids which ravaged the black communities around the same time.
But everyone will always say, "conspiracy theory! conspiracy theory!" while the poor rot in jails, and die faster then the whites, and the children suffer for no reason. I mean they spend all this ***** money on the wars, but they can't help the ***** kids.
