- epyon180, on 10/23/2009, -1/+14They don't show the girl passing gas every 5 minutes after eating all that protein. BE WARNED IT DOES HAPPEN.
- trevor1617, on 10/22/2009, -3/+14ahhh cold shower! Better make sure no one is watching might think im a chick.
- giveer, on 10/23/2009, -1/+9"Poor use of on the other hand."
Not really. Re-reading it, the contrasting thoughts may not have been apparent:
1) Too much protein = Bad thing.
"On the other hand..."
2) Big thick, powerful farts = [implied as] Good thing.
Intention was there. I submit that earns me bail from the grammar police. - giveer, on 10/23/2009, -1/+9Don't exercise, don't be active, don't eat healthy and don't eat properly --- Just pop a vitamin pill and it does the same thing? Pff.. enjoy your middle age years buddy - Tell us how the triple by-pass works out for you. Or at least get one of the multiple women you must be landing to drop us a memo while you're in the ICU.
- Maudrid, on 10/23/2009, -0/+7Can someone post a list of the 7 things? The video is not loading for me.
- giveer, on 10/23/2009, -0/+5Gas is a by-product of too much protein. If you're downing a scoop of supplements every other hour or eating a full chicken breast at every meal with some egg whites, then yes.. too much.
On the other hand, those protein farts are oh-so powerful and thick... - jessemoya, on 10/23/2009, -0/+4Buried for askmen.com

- clickwir, on 10/23/2009, -0/+4I could do without the POPUP advertising askmen. It's stupid and a quick sure fireway to keep me away from your site.
- robinthehood, on 10/23/2009, -0/+3They say that fidgeting is a sign of mental instability... I don't mean that in a bad way. After all, I'm the one with restless leg syndrome. Even when I'm sitting I'm constantly in a state of flux. My wife hates it. If we're watching TV I'm shaking the couch.
- giveer, on 10/23/2009, -1/+4You: "as far as burning calories? or staying healthy? which is what you are arguing, lol no a b vitamin pill wont do that and never did i say it would."
Ahem Quote: "or do none of those things and take b vitamins producing actual results"
See that bit - "Or do none of those things"?
"those things" = Active, healthy lifestyle (I'll give you the cold shower and the fidgeting - but that's not what you said - you said "None -as in- NONE of those things"
"actual results" = raised metabolism.
Uhhhh, so yes, actually, you did say that. Oh sure, you may not have meant it, but just because you're lacking in the ability to convey your point, doesn't mean I'm incorrect. It means you're just a little bit mental. - div2n, on 10/23/2009, -0/+3They should have added green tea as a metabolism booster.
- brentjholmes, on 10/23/2009, -2/+4i really thought this was a sponsored digg article. hoooray because it's not!
- sporkman, on 10/23/2009, -4/+6Pfff, no way I'm takin a cold shower.
- lateralus, on 10/23/2009, -2/+4Poor use of on the other hand. But a good point.
- cosmos411, on 10/23/2009, -0/+1Just a pet peeve of mine, but why don't people know how to hold cutlery anymore? The food is already dead, no need to clutch that fork like your impaling a kill.
- DrTeeth01, on 10/23/2009, -3/+4Simple, just inherit Grave's disease and watch your metabolic rate go atmospheric.

- BasalCellBossk, on 10/23/2009, -2/+3ha ha ha vitamins
Oh wait, you're serious? - giveer, on 10/24/2009, -0/+1Oh ***** Me.
Yeah, I get it. You've said it 1000 times.
You're talking about SPEEDING UP METABOLISM. Not the other stuff, just metabolism - yeah I got it. (See? Big letters even)
So if it's big letters you need:
YOU'RE STILL ***** INCORRECT.
please focus on the big letters.
--------------------------------
"better in what way?"
Do you really want the answer to that? Fine.
Let's look at one aspect: High Interval Training.
High Interval Training is an advanced cardio routine focused on highly elevated heart rate and introducing work-rest or stop-rest periods to maintain an elevated heart rate for a longer period of time than simply performing above 90% of your HRmax for as long as possible. Doing it this way constantly depletes your body's ATP stores and creates a massive oxygen debt.
The larger your oxygen debt, the larger your EPOC level will be once your intervals are finished (since you're the smart guy, I'm just assuming that you already know ATP stands for adenosine triphosphates and that EPOC stands for Excess Post-exercise Oxygen Consumption.) Training hard enough, your EPOC can be highly elevated for up to 48 hours. In those 48 hours, your body is replacing oxygen and generating the required ATP using the Fatty Acid Oxidation process.
Your metabolism in this phase is much, much MUCH higher than you'll ever be able to get it by sitting on your ass and popping a vitamin b pill.
I've answered your ***** questions and, yeah, you're still wrong. - BillC0sby, on 10/24/2009, -0/+1thats very good. but whether or not it is higher or not it actually is higher than what you get from b vitamins is beyond me. i doubt that it is but you've definitely proved your point.
- honestlywhagwan, on 10/23/2009, -0/+1I know a few who do...
- giveer, on 10/24/2009, -0/+1I have the world backing me up that living healthy and exercise is better than taking a vitamin supplement. And where's your academic reference for your points, hmm? Oh sure, everyone needs vitamins, but a supplement is no replacement for a healthy lifestyle. You're Dead Flat Wrong.
And since you're the hot shot: if you'd like my reference so badly:
Can-Fit-Pro. Foundations of Professional Personal Training. pub. Human Kinetics. Library of Congress Cataloging-in-Publication Data. pages 15-19 My Personal Training Certification ID # is 2008-90002. Issued on July 13th, 2009.
How's that? Feel free to look me up. And if you'd like a personal trainer let me know. Mind you, I don't accept clients that believe taking a pill is healthier.
For the record, you're still wrong. - giveer, on 10/23/2009, -0/+1Yeah, seriously. He's perpetuating the thread above your comment with me. I think he might actually think he's correct.
- infermon, on 10/23/2009, -0/+1Squatz and Oatz!
- giveer, on 10/23/2009, -1/+1"...pills are gonna do the same thing as exercising, being active, and eating properly. and its gonna do it better"
Oh. My. Lanta. You're hilarious.
I can't even believe you just wrote that. If you're actually being serious, I'll be serious for a second as well: Seriously: educate yourself a little bit or one day, your health will indeed kill you if you think taking vitamin B pills are better than a healthy lifestyle.
If you're being a cocky jackass:
In that case, I reiterate exactly what I said in the first place.
Thank you for so firmly asserting your idiocy.
Your health advice is as intelligent and as sound as your grammar. - doctressjulia, on 10/23/2009, -1/+1Sounds uncomfortable...
http://www.sleepnaked.org/ - BillC0sby, on 10/23/2009, -1/+1haha idk why you left out the couple words that made my statement true but let me say it one more time - when it comes to increasing metabolism - vitamin b is gonna do the same thing as exercising, being active, and eating properly. but its going to do it better. stop with your cool stories, you're little rants are unnecessary.
- BillC0sby, on 10/24/2009, -1/+1there is no replacing. the fact is - when it comes to speeding up metabolism taking a b vitamin would be more effective then "living healthy" or "exercise".
"I have the world backing me up that living healthy and exercise is better than taking a vitamin supplement." better in what way? keep in mind that the subject at hand is SPEEDING - UP - THE - METABOLISM. so if its better in any other way dont bother posting it because i dont care. its not what i was talking about and its not what i was arguing. please focus on the big letters - BillC0sby, on 10/24/2009, -1/+1haha ok result to personal insults because you've got nothing else. you saying im wrong with nothing backing it is sad. i thought i was arguing with someone competent but you've proved me wrong, unlike what you've done in the argument. thanks for the tip teacher, but this isnt english class. you typing proper doesnt make you sound smart when your arguments are so stupid... and uh... i exercise every other day... and i'd still rather take a pill to speed up my metabolism rather than rely on exercise to do the trick
- giveer, on 10/23/2009, -1/+1UGH. Fine.
Here's a full quote if you need one so badly:
"so in the matter of increasing metabolism yea the pills are gonna do the same thing as exercising, being active, and eating properly. and its gonna do it better"
There. Happy Now?
You're still wrong.
Use all that extra time you have and polish your grammar.
Now run along and go not exercise somewhere. - Xeth, on 10/23/2009, -2/+1Dugg for hot chick
- BillC0sby, on 10/23/2009, -5/+1actually my point was taking b vitamins will produce better results then doing any of those things. i chose cold showering and fidgeting because it strengthened my point. so in the matter of increasing metabolism yea the pills are gonna do the same thing as exercising, being active, and eating properly. and its gonna do it better
- BillC0sby, on 10/23/2009, -6/+1cool story. but for speeding up your metabolism im sure that taking a vitamin pill a day is a hundred times easier and will do the job better than taking a cold shower or fidgeting. as far as burning calories? or staying healthy? which is what you are arguing, lol no a b vitamin pill wont do that and never did i say it would.
