- Hobbes24, on 11/07/2008, -0/+133anyone else sick of hearing computer terms referring to non computer *****?
mind-"hacks" to improve your memory
body-"glitches" to fix
makes me want to "delete my system 32" - mGARANDEUR1, on 11/07/2008, -1/+55Well that list was pretty much useless. Thanks divinecaroline for once again wasting my time.
- bcr8u, on 11/07/2008, -0/+37Uhm... there wasn't very much "how to prevent them"...
- archer104, on 11/07/2008, -0/+28Whoever told you that is a plain fool. To get rid of ocular twitch you have get some cinnamon, horseradish, garlic, and cod liver oil. Mix all that in with a gallon of unicorn semen. Then go to Sri Lanka or some place like that and run for office. After winning election, wait until a blue sparrow flies in through your office window and explodes into a disgusting mess. Then use your political pull to get them to display the miracle on their currency. Eat all the currency you can get your hands on and down it with that mixture that you made earlier. Did I mention that the unicorn has to be alive when you get the semen?
If that doesn't work see your physician. - meandnips, on 11/07/2008, -0/+28I've always called the pre-sleep body jerks "bumping in the bed" because it feels like I'm bouncing off the mattress a bit. Ive always done it, and it's really annoying, because it takes forever to go back to sleep. As usual, I don't like the possible solutions to the problem, either!
- damntourists, on 11/07/2008, -0/+27i once experienced a clipping glitch, and fell through my couch.
- Cuongfu, on 11/07/2008, -0/+23Man I always hated when I was asleep and I'd have a dream where I was falling and wake up freaking out.. That happened to me so many times in school. :(
- Cloud7654, on 11/07/2008, -1/+24How about that rumbling sound you get when you're holding in gas. It feels like its backing up on you. Sounds gross, but I know it's not just me.
- satsukimiller, on 11/07/2008, -0/+20Stomach growls at the office, that's the worst.
- GoKings, on 11/07/2008, -1/+20Here's a brief summary

Thanks Divine Caroline, another useful read... For their next article... "How To Cure Aids" - Can you cure it? NO! But I will tell you what causes it. - WhoDoneIt, on 11/07/2008, -0/+17That's called an orgasm. Don't shake it as much when you are done peeing.
- RogerTourbiner, on 11/07/2008, -0/+15"I have to bite my lip to keep from laughing when they scrub the dead skin from my feet"
eeeeew. - Sornos, on 11/07/2008, -0/+15Does anyone else get charlie horses in the muscles under the jaw when they yawn too hard? I hate that.
- snowblind113, on 11/07/2008, -0/+13i hate the sensation of falling when laying down :/
- Junior612, on 11/07/2008, -0/+12I gotta debug my brains!
- Sornos, on 11/07/2008, -0/+11I know what you mean. You're holding it in, you hear a gurgle and you swear somewhere deep in the plumbing something rearranged itself.
- schoepsMS, on 11/07/2008, -0/+11How do I prevent that annoying shiver when taking a leak at the urinal?
- Hobbes24, on 11/07/2008, -0/+11i actually looked both up too just to be sure before i posted that comment
but glitch didn't come to use commonly until the advent of computers like you said, thusly people are only using it to try and be clever, and adopt computer jargon to describe people - SonicAD, on 11/07/2008, -0/+10This doesn't happen to me much, but I feel scared when it does, because it really DOES feel like you're in a free-fall for a sec, and then I pretty much pop up out of bed in a cold sweat. Not a fun way to try to get to sleep.
- Rikkochet, on 11/07/2008, -0/+10Sure there was!
"You can't"
But what else did we expect from divinecaroline? - freehunter, on 11/07/2008, -0/+10I'm currently off work on medical leave due to thinking I had enabled noclip, but finding a solid wall. Had some nice ragdoll effects, though.
- damntourists, on 11/07/2008, -0/+9i love it. it's exhilarating.
- CoppellStereo, on 11/07/2008, -0/+9the article never said how to prevent anything, it just said maybe it's just a fact of life, or eat more, or sleep more. pointles. maybe if the title didn't say "how to prevent" it would have made it a lot better
- mercimadam, on 11/07/2008, -0/+8I heard that drinking milk can take care of an eye twitch. Old wives tale maybe but it has worked for me in the past.
- Gizza, on 11/07/2008, -0/+9Oh yeah, I hate that, especially when the yawn isn't finished, so it just gets more painful.
- cl2yp71c, on 11/07/2008, -0/+7ctrl-alt-delete?
- guentherishere, on 11/07/2008, -0/+8I call my "body jerk" the "about to get hit in the face, dodge" because I always have a mini-dream of something, I never know what, flying toward my face... then I wake up.
- darkciti2, on 11/07/2008, -0/+8Don't drink as many.
- freehunter, on 11/07/2008, -0/+7Yeah, no kidding, it feels like your jaw is never going to stop hurting, like it's out of place.
- lightningrod220, on 11/07/2008, -0/+7... and when it happens, you swear that everyone in the office (or at least the girl in the next cubicle) could hear it.
- CindyMindy, on 11/07/2008, -2/+9chew your dick off.
- CindyMindy, on 11/07/2008, -0/+7I got a lot of help from this article. For example, next time I have one of these problems I'll just take this site's advice and deal with it. Thanks divinecarolina for the awesome tips!
- rainydaywoman, on 11/07/2008, -0/+7I love those pre-sleep body jerks, they're hilarious. However, I could definitely live without the extremely painful charlie horses I get when I'm sleeping. I should probably stop wearing heels. I'm sure you diggers get that all the time...cough...
- Burritoking924, on 11/07/2008, -0/+6This was just a list saying body "glitches". No fixes, anyone want to clean up Gods code for him?
- misspiggymess, on 11/07/2008, -0/+6 Borborygmi can be so embarrassing.
- barryiggins, on 11/07/2008, -1/+7I find a lot of these are just signs that I'm sleep deprived.
The body jerks are the worst when you're falling asleep in public, on the train, etc.; always waking up to awkward stares. - WhoDoneIt, on 11/07/2008, -0/+6I agree that what they states is BS. However, I do know this much about them.
If you drink alcohol they will tend to get worse. Dehydration is a part of the "horse" and simply hydrating yourself is the best remedy. I wake up with calf charley horses EVERY morning the day after a beer session. - rabidg00se, on 11/07/2008, -0/+6Guys. All of these methods just translate to "hold your breath for a while," which is in fact a decent fix for hiccups.
- TexasIceCarving, on 11/07/2008, -0/+6waking up with a boner can sometimes be embarrassing.
- Theod48, on 11/07/2008, -0/+5restless arms is the worst, you lay there flaying your arms around like a retard
- shenaniJen, on 11/07/2008, -0/+5It always freaks me out because it feels like someone jumped on the bed....
- gforce051, on 11/07/2008, -1/+6The above 2 comments just made me LOL.
- groo68, on 11/07/2008, -0/+5Not really, it pretty much said these things are unavoidable, unless you want to put a lot of time and effort into reducing their frequency, as infrequent as they already are.
- 9bpm9, on 11/07/2008, -0/+5I was just about to say that.
- Tyrghast, on 11/07/2008, -0/+5Apparently we all live in the matrix now...
- Betrayer, on 11/07/2008, -0/+4they forgot heartburn or acid refux.
if you eat spicy foods and have a hard time sleeping at night.. sleep on your left side... it will keep the food from leaking out of your stomach into your esophagus - darkciti2, on 11/07/2008, -0/+4It's your body naturally shutting down the nerve channels to your legs (typically). When several of them shut down at the same time, it becomes that leg jerk / sleepy body jerk.
I think you should celebrate your body. When it wants to do something, it wants to do it for a reason, so let it (assuming it's reasonable and not an elevator fart). - damntourists, on 11/07/2008, -1/+5how is this possible? i thought a hiccup was caused by a muscle spasm in your diaphragm. if anything, you're filling your stomach with water, and stretching the diaphragm out... same concept as holding your breath.
- skinny01, on 11/07/2008, -0/+4Absolutely not, I drink a ton of milk and started getting an eye twitch a few years ago. Lack of milk definitely can't be the cause of it.
- groo68, on 11/07/2008, -1/+5Ill try to find better cures on google.
For charlie horses try eating a banana a day with a 8 ounce+ glass of water.
For pre-sleep jerks you can't fix it because you can't concentrate on it and fall asleep at the same time, not that that would help. maybe get a harder bed so you aren't so relaxed.
For eye twitches if they are going all day you can use a warm wet towel on the eye for a while, drink less coffee, and probably get a massage as that will reduce stress.
For hiccups take as deep a breath you can and swallow repeatedly untill you cant hold your breath any more then slowly breath out. you could probably combine this with sugar if it doesn't work. side note: In my opinion, unlike the article says, hiccups are usually caused by laughing.
For stomach growls you should just live with it because otherwise you have to give up bread, red meat, and sugar, and anything else the bacteria in your stomach will eat fast enough to produce a lot of gas, so you will have to eat bland meals. you can probably reduce stomach growls slightly by being physically fit. This is not a "glitch"
I've never seen anyone complain about noisy joints, also ticklishness is will power and what the article said. these are not "glitches". Especially if darwin called ticklishness evolution. -
