It's in a similar vein of prepping ahead to have a healthy vacation. - LolaValentine, on 08/08/2008, -0/+0This was a good article. It rings true for so many people, including myself.
One thing that helps me is if I come up with a dinner menu for the week - I've even gone so far as to come up with a menu for the entire month. I bought one of those dry/erase calendar boards and write what we're having on each day (I try to think of my family's favorite foods). It helps me during the week with cooking and grocery shopping. Trust me, this really works! When a few of my friends said they created a menu, I said, "yea, maybe I'll try it" then just didn't do it. When I started making a menu, I stopped making whatever sounded good or calling my husband last minute to pick up a pizza.
As far as working out, I haven't gotten that prepared yet. I do it whenever I get a chance...which isn't as often as I'd like. We got a puppy, so she helps me get my lazy b--t off the couch and take her for a walk.

They're so great because they're made with frozen fruit which is so easy to have on hand! - JulietB, on 08/08/2008, -0/+0These are excellent tips - especially the one about cooking extra, healthy meals for during the week. I try to do that as much as I can and it's a real life save (and time saver) for busy weeknight suppers.
