- Picard102, on 05/31/2008, -2/+127This title is misleading. These are not habits of naturally thin people, but of people trying to lose weight.
- pentupentropy, on 05/30/2008, -7/+90I'm "naturally thin" and I eat like 5 whopper juniors at a time. I put hot sauce on most everything, that might help. I think gluttony is my worst sin. I eat as long as my body will let me in the presence of good food. Still weigh about a buck sitty.
- tibs, on 05/31/2008, -6/+65if you are "naturally thin" why do you need 50 habits to be so?
- LoganSerman, on 05/31/2008, -4/+581. Go play
2. Don't eat unhealthy food
No need for 50 things - AntiGravityHero, on 05/31/2008, -5/+55This is ***** stupid. I'm 30, "naturally thin" @ 6'1", 140 and can pound down Quarter Pounders and bacon sandwiches all day without gaining an ounce. My cholesterol levels, on the other hand...
You either have the genes or you don't. - emt1451, on 05/31/2008, -4/+41If you are trying to lose weight you should never eat fast food. Actually, nobody should ever eat fast food...
- scotticus, on 05/31/2008, -2/+39you're all dudes and you're all gay
- inactive, on 05/31/2008, -3/+39Some of the lamest crap I have read on digg in a while
- Iknockstuffdown, on 05/31/2008, -2/+3653. Instead of browsing digg, exercise.
- Laminarcissus, on 05/31/2008, -2/+30Screw it, I'm having six pieces of bacon and an extra large onion rings and losing weight twice as fast.
- namelessXsilent, on 05/31/2008, -3/+2950 things i probably wont do
- rukeypoo, on 05/31/2008, -1/+27Same. My coworkers hate me because I just eat terribly unhealthy food everyday at lunch and they are stuck with salads and lean cuisine.
- davidjunit, on 05/31/2008, -1/+25Exactly. I read half-way through the list and thought to myself, "wtf is this *****, I never do this crap" and I eat junk all the time. I'll probably die of a heart attack before obesity kicks in.
- rawg, on 05/30/2008, -3/+27Some good suggestions that don't require a lot of sacrifice:
40. Make it bacon At the diner, order three slices of crisp bacon instead of two sausage links, and pat off the extra grease. Saves 90
48. Fix your fries Rather than asking for medium fries, get an order of onion rings (8 to 9 rings). Saves 60
Bacon and onion rings, here I come. - dleesgeetar, on 05/30/2008, -1/+23all really practical tips, i prefer to lean towards the exercise and less on the nutrition management, personally i think you got to eat well to be happy, and being happy keeps the stress down and your body in better condition, also makes you more likely to exercise
- saraequalswin, on 05/31/2008, -0/+21Bah. My roommate eats like a cow, doesn't do ***** all day, and weighs 116lbs (She's really tall too). I workout 6 times a week and monitor my calories religiously. I'm a healthy person and a healthy weight, but not naturally skinny. "Naturally skinny" is just that. Skinny without trying.
- sarixe, on 05/31/2008, -2/+21i was gonna say "I was gonna say that!" but i realized that would make me a stupid moron, so i didn't.
- CrackyJSquirrel, on 05/31/2008, -1/+20#51 - Lefty sloppy seconds
After fapping with the right hand switch off and use your left. double the pleasure. double the burn.
Burns: 300 calories. - fugazied, on 05/31/2008, -0/+18Your metabolism will slow a bit as you get older. If you still eat like that after 35 and stay thin then you are pretty lucky. At 20 a lot of people can eat a lot of be thin.
- ajb2015, on 05/31/2008, -3/+20you sound bitter
- mgyqmb, on 05/31/2008, -1/+18Around Town
19. Carry some weight When you're grocery shopping or running errands, wear a backpack with a 5-or 10-pound bag of sugar inside to increase resistance and burn more calories. Add purchases to your load as it becomes easier. Burns 20 (for an hour of errands)
---
20. Get stopped at the door on your way out of the grocery store wanting to know what's in your bag. Burns 10
21. Lift sugar out of backpack. Burns 10
22. Resist arrest. Burns 200 - lucidguru, on 05/30/2008, -10/+2751. Take stimulants.
52. Get hyperthyroidism. - Laminarcissus, on 05/31/2008, -0/+1753. Tapeworm
- Froejam, on 05/31/2008, -5/+20***** you.
- LBobRife, on 05/31/2008, -0/+14Not only that, but having a 10 lb bag of sugar around at all times cannot be good for your diet.
- binorgog, on 08/07/2008, -2/+16You sound hot.
- Mononuclear, on 05/31/2008, -0/+13No, naturally thin people are just that.. naturally thin. They don't do any of these things. Most naturally thin people eat like horses and don't gain weight because of their natural body chemistry.
These are things people who aren't naturally thin but want to be thin do to stay thin. - blackinthmiddle, on 05/31/2008, -0/+1354. Cocaine! It's a hellavu drug!
- vuthy, on 05/31/2008, -1/+14I guarantee you that no "naturally thin" people actually do these things. I'm naturally thin, and 90% of that is due to good genes. It also helps that I walk everywhere (which also includes carrying heavy items back home) and don't eat junk food, though I eat A LOT. It's not that I eat healthy; I love bacon, ribs, sausages, fries, Guinness, noodles, etc., but I'm more likely to eat freshly cooked stuff than to buy a bag of chips or a box of Oreos.
Naturally thin people don't have habits - we're just naturally thin. - brettmurf, on 05/31/2008, -0/+121. Don't be fat.
All I need is one step. - FireSlash, on 05/31/2008, -1/+13I'm naturally thin, and I don't do any of this *****. Ever.
Good metabolism + Not eating tons of fatty ***** = win. - sonatatempest, on 05/31/2008, -0/+12Keeps you thin right until your esophagus collapses.
- Big-Pat, on 05/31/2008, -0/+12There's your problem: Subway. Most subs are so bad for you, unless you're getting a 6in turkey, veggie, or oven roasted chicken breast with no cheese, no sauce on wheat bread. You have no idea how many people come in and get a footlong BMT w/bacon, extra cheese, 2-3 sauces, oil and vinegar.
Don't even get me started on people who order a "$5 footlong " that used to cost less than $5. - arkaycee, on 05/31/2008, -0/+11Jerk a friend off and burn another 300.
- Bodhinature, on 05/31/2008, -0/+11Naturally thin people don't do any of this *****. Chair workouts and desk squats? Gimme a break.
- Revolutionista, on 05/31/2008, -2/+11I just drink water and put dirt on the tip of my tongue.
- lamiaconfitor, on 05/31/2008, -0/+9Conversely, I walk an average of 5 miles a day and eat steamed broccoli, rice, chicken, spinach and the occasional subway sandwich. I cant loose weight.
- aspec, on 05/31/2008, -1/+9See also: Activities that if you're caught doing at work are likely to be embarrassing and get you fired.
- InstantRamen, on 05/31/2008, -0/+8And malnourished.
- TGMD, on 05/31/2008, -0/+8I think we only need two tips here:
1. Eat Right
2. Exercise
Stop being so damn lazy - garageboy101, on 05/31/2008, -0/+8back in the day, they use to advertise weight loss candy bars.
it turned out they put tapeworm eggs in there, and they would hatch in your stomach.
another reason why FDA is in place :] - snackalacka, on 05/31/2008, -0/+7If you are actually naturally thin you don't have to do any of this crap. Thank God my co-workers won't see me faking out a sit-down at my desk 20 times a day.
- blackinthmiddle, on 05/31/2008, -0/+7Well that's the real key. I read this article, and the gist is to stay active, which is obvious but not the real key. The real key is to keep your metabolism burning. One way to not lose muscle and try to put some on. Every pound of muscle you gain needs 50 calories a day to function. Gain 10 pounds, burn 500 calories a day, even on days you're just being a couch potato. People who are thin aren't eating grains and crap like that!
- Revolutionista, on 05/31/2008, -1/+7My sister and I both have hyperthyroidism... there's nothing there that helps manage weight.
Unless, of course, there was sarcasm in your comment. - guillebravo6, on 05/30/2008, -5/+11There is some great tips or habits here. I think you have to make a lifestyle choice to be thin, just as you do to be overweight.
Make the choice! - buckrogers1965, on 05/31/2008, -1/+71. Be born to naturally skinny parents.
- spammishking, on 05/31/2008, -1/+7I've been at the same weight for 10 years now, and I've gone a few years without exercising and overeating, and a few years of daily exercising and watching what I eat and I always weigh the same. Naturally thin is genetic, it's not a habit, so hahaha tubby I'm thin without trying
- Mononuclear, on 05/31/2008, -0/+6Been there done that.. it sucks..
- PixC, on 05/31/2008, -2/+8The author must've had a lot of time on her hand to make up these BS.
