- wildfire, on 10/11/2007, -2/+25Also, the article mentions eating grapefruits to stay hydrated. As a warning, if you're taking medication, try to avoid grapefruit as it affects drug metabolism.

- Theipolicy, on 10/11/2007, -2/+13Make a list on one web page.
- rip747, on 10/11/2007, -2/+11I find that if I have a good romp with the wife, the next day I'm totally energized and a lot more happy :)
- jhuebel, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8You can have my wife. (/sarcasm tag intentionally ommitted)

- drgruney, on 11/12/2007, -1/+6How am I supposed to play Sim City until 4 AM?
- resinoth, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6Actually, slowing dosing caffeine over the afternoon has been shown to be superior to a cup, or two, in the morning, without effecting sleep patterns.
- mattmcm, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7It's a tired joke, but... most Diggers can't do that.
- mightyarmenian, on 10/11/2007, -3/+8 "One caution for those who are highly sensitive to caffeine: Although switching to a decaf latte in the afternoon sounds like the answer, researchers at the University of Florida found that out of 22 decaffeinated coffee beverages tested, all but one contained some caffeine."
That's retarded. Of course decaffeinated beverages are still going to contain SOME traces of caffeine. 2 mg of caffeine is going to hurt anybody - imtigger2, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5That's too much unformatted crap for a forum post. The link would have worked better, because we DO know how to click through to stories. Thanks.
- nairanvac, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Dude, if you're only sleeping every other day, you have some serious problems. Get help, man.
- yabos, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Dude, it's obviously like that to keep you awake :)
- wildfire, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4I have no clue as to why two people dugg this down so far. It can cause death...
- inspecality, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4DUDE WTF.
- MDrake, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4I'll vouch personally for the 'water intake' method. I am a real night owl and would always have a ton of caffeine throughout the day which made my sleep suffer (when I did sleep) as well as having constant high's-low's throughout the day. Now I have a large 1 gallon water bottle that I carry with me and that is my primary drink. I am generally a lot more stable in my physical feeling and get better sleep.

- captainwtf, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I'd have to say having a shower is the best way for me to stop feeling tired. That and drinking lots and lots of water.
- anarchytv, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2If you're chronically fatigued and tired all the time, and you always want to sleep late, or feel tired but sleep does not make you feel less tired, its probably because you've become diabetic. There's an epidemic of diabetes across North America, caused by the huge consumption of high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) in softdrinks, sweet tea, refined carbohydrates, and flour products.
Counter-intuitively, exercise will make you less fatigues, as well as swearing off caffeine (a poison) and sugar, which put you on a death spiral rollercoaster ride. Switch from eating grains (which your caveman body was never designed for) to fresh greens. Swear off fast food, junk food, pasta, milk, everything sweet. You can eat as many fresh vegtables as you like: cucumbers, shredded cole slaw mix, salads, spinach leaves, bean sprouts, green leafy vegtables, etc.. you can eat as much as you want and not get fat from them. As a rule, if its fresh out of the ground by mother nature, its good food. Once mankind gets ahold of it, processes, boxes it, cans it, converts it, it becomes less than healthy for you. Most of the semi good food is organized around the edges of a grocery store... avoid all the boxed toxic junk in the center.

Signs that you have diabetes: you are often confused, fatigued, depressed; you have lots of gas and burp a lot; you have a big belly or big hips and can pinch more than 2 inches; its often hard for you to concentrate, unless you guzzle caffeinated sodas or other sugary foods or coffee and keep drinking them. Contrary to popular belief, caffeine/coffee is not good for you at all, and is not necessary for you to be alert and capable of concentrating. When you are eating right, you can do massive amounts of complex brain work. Caffeine produces its effect, because it is a poison (given off by the coca plant to kill its neighbors), and your body goes into alert mode because you've just ingested a poison, and more sugar is released into the blood stream, and caffeine knocks down your cell walls which have become insulin resistant from abuse to let the glucose in.
Other conditions may also cause fatigue, so check with your doctor. You could have an ailment, or more than likely, not be eating right, or if you are eating right, constantly over exerting yourself. - kuyman, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Meth will make you like the toothless, poor, drugheads of the great state of West Virginia. As a resident, don't want to be like that.
