After about 5 minutes of convincing my son that everybody did it (honestly, she just didn't want to cart the half-mile to the nearest restroom) she watches in horror as he walks into the water, ankle deep, whips it out and starts peeing "in the ocean".

- nepidae, on 05/15/2009, -0/+10Having a pool when I was growing up I don't remember ever showering before swimming. Even if I was dirty it was probably from playing outside in the dirt, I'd rather not track that in. And all of us would took turns cleaning the pool so it wasn't a big deal.
I'd almost always shower after swimming though.
In public pools I think generally they would have showers by the pool that you could rinse in, I would sometimes use those to lessen the initial shock of the water if it was cooler than I was used to. - superbobd, on 05/15/2009, -7/+16This just in. The other 4 are lying.

Anyways, there's nothing quite like having the person in front of you piss while you're working your ass off - the piss-water is literally streaming over your entire face, and there's basically nothing you can do about it.
