- wattznext, on 10/11/2007, -0/+21The brain is such an amazing, intriguing, complex organ.
To quote Richard Robinson "If the brain were simple enough for us to understand it, we'd be so simple we wouldn't be able to." - DeusNova, on 10/11/2007, -0/+14Is reading random wikipedia articles good enough? =(
- exabytes16, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12My skull keeps my brain in shape.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10Good catch. The author stole the first 10 and then linked to ririanproject. Still totally wrong and unethical.
- spucky, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7I use preservatives so that my brain will be in perfect shape when found in a landfill in the year 10,000.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7I never logged in to bury a comment before!
- UtahApocalyse, on 10/11/2007, -0/+616. Keep the brain inside of the skull.
- horrorpunk, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5So..
"Goofing off" is a sure way to keep your brain healthy and at it's peak?
Good God man, I must have not realized it, but I'm a freakin' rocket scientist. - avpunresponsive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6oh i just play big brain academy.
- mithrasinvictus, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5so does most of the western world, its in the food.
- wschalle, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4This guy should have read "15 ways to keep your goddamn webserver from crashing"
- dlsspy, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5"I used to think that the brain was the most wonderful organ in my body. Then I realized who was telling me this." -- Emo Phillips
- KMartSheriff, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Then the terrorists have already won.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3"that houses your soul"
I wish people would stop using that word. There is no such thing as a soul. It's a made up thing. - rshotl, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Pretty common ideas--- but honestly I agree with most of them. A healthy diet (including vegetables, fruits, ethnic foods--i.e. indian, japanese, etc.), golf, excersize, yoga, meditating..... may be the won't literally make you smarter, but they'll put you in the right mind frame so that you can think to your higher potential.
- rhabd0mancer, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3"and the tender organ that houses your soul."
Um, no, the soul resides in the appendix. - psg188, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I prefer Brain Age, but same effect, get a DS.
- npsken, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Spam the non-existent blog!
- oxdeltaxo, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Still most people lack the ability to meditate. Their minds just keeping chattering.
- L4WL3RS34L, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3#7 FTW
“Believe it or not, playing certain video games can actually be good for your health. You’ll develop stronger visual skills and make decisions 85% faster than non-gamers, say experts from the University of Rochester, New York. Gamers can read the newspaper, recognize a scene or pick out facial features faster in between fragging killer aliens.” - RevEng, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Yes, smoking weed is the best thing for your brain. Because slowing it down, you know, helps to keep from wearing it out.
- kyashan, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Write some code !
- miriclaire, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I prefer chess--that helps you make decisions 85% slower--but they are well planned out.
- ateam, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Dr. Kawashima says, "Play Brain Age for the Nintendo DS!"
- andburn1, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3It's not bad. Absorbing any kind of new information is beneficial to the brain - if it's interesting, it's even better. The steady concentration that comes with reading is also a very good workout for the brain.
- Hangender, on 10/11/2007, -2/+416) smoke marijuana
17) have sex - VSLOATHE, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Don't get all bent out of shape. To claim you don't have a soul is like claiming you don't have lungs or a spleen. The soul is typically defined as an intangible part of the human psyche that houses the mind, emotions, and will. It's not immortal like the *spirit* taught about by most major religions.
Being reactionary and naive are two strikes against anyone. - miriclaire, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I'm pickling mine. Ooops! That's my liver.
- miriclaire, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1huh? Someone's brain migrate to their ass?
- Buckiller, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2pictures or it didnt happen
- andburn1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Well. Unsolicited advertising... but good content. I am conflicted.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1So I have no soul?
- miriclaire, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I hope its not the liver.
- andburn1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I'm pretty sure it's the gallbladder.
- Vironex, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3Uh, porn has negative effects on your brain and ***** your hormone levels.
- HairyFotr, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1And it makes you go blind and your palms grow hair...
- MarkOfTheDead, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1adhd is a ***** :(
- KMartSheriff, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Blogs are the biggest wastes of time in existence. The people who sit at home and post on their blog to an invisible audience need to stop. There's nothing funnier than being linked to a blog only to see the endless posts, all of which have 0 comments. No one cares if you took a nap today, or ate a ham sandwich instead of peanut-butter and jelly.
- aefven, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1My soul is in a whole different organ... thats what the appendix is for... the government says its useless and remove it because they want your souls!
- The_Dude, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Yeah, this is all great, however I'm more interested in controlling other brains. Now that is a feat, and is quite lucrative, of course.
- KMartSheriff, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1It already is being used like this. It's why we have American Idol.
- cfuse, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1"the tender organ that houses your soul."
*Scoff* - brockbrock, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I like the way you think. I'll give this one a shot and hopefully obtain equal levels of intelligence.
- numarc, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Im working on that now. The hard part is keeping those brains you take control of from exploding.
- BillKS, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0One good way of keeping your brain active is to use your memory. Instead of using Outlook or a PDA to remember and to organise your life, use your brain! The act of concentrating on learning and retaining information does after all exercise the brain very effectively.
See http://www.buildyourmemory.com for more on memory training tricks and techniques.
Bill - enoshite, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0"the tender organ that houses your soul." i completely disagree with this statement...
- ideo, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1The best way to keep the one's brain in shape is to watch porn ;-)
