- MHunt, on 03/30/2009, -1/+10Some of those were good, but the author was struggling to get to 10. "The Caveman Diet" is not one of the 10 craziest diets in history. I can think of several off the top of my head that are crazier.
- GroundIsSound, on 03/30/2009, -0/+6a local weatherman from where I live famously went on the Wendy's Frosty diet, in which he ate nothing but Wendys Frosties 3 times a day. he lost like 50 pounds, but im sure his body hated him for it.
- maxwashere, on 03/30/2009, -0/+6My personal favorite:
You're allowed to eat anything you want, as long as you can toss it in the air and catch it in your mouth. - inactive, on 03/30/2009, -0/+61. stop eating candy and other crap.
2. get away from your computer and do some exercise. at the very least do some walking.
3. ????
4. profit - NUMBER4940, on 03/30/2009, -1/+7those nasty toes make me not want to eat for a while.
- steelclash84, on 03/30/2009, -0/+6Some diets do "work". You do lose weight. The problem with many extreme diets is that you can not maintain them indefinitely. That is why diet programs like weight watchers are the few "diets" that actually make you lose weight and keep it off.
You can do 2 things (1 or both) to lose weight and keep it off:
1) You exercise more regularly or more strenuously.
2) Commit to a diet...permanently.
I prefer to exercise, but if you want to lose weight without doing any physical activity, you have to make that diet a life-change. It can't be something you do for a short period of time and expect the results to stay constant. - lelebelle, on 03/30/2009, -0/+5Eat healthier. Exercise regularly.
Tada. - GonzoAKQJ10, on 03/30/2009, -1/+6They just had the Tape worm diet on 1000 ways to die.
- inactive, on 03/30/2009, -2/+6Could have done without the picture of some broad's man feet.
- Sheaan, on 03/30/2009, -0/+4barf on the cotton ball diet! yuk!
- NUMBER4940, on 03/30/2009, -1/+5how about this one - breatharianism? ...the diet of not eating at all.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breatharianism - suicideboy, on 03/30/2009, -0/+4You want to know what diet works it's called exercise. Plain and simple. I cut out sodas and started exercising and went from 269 to 254 in about 6 weeks. I still have a long way to go to get under 200.
- inactive, on 03/30/2009, -0/+3How long until someone starts bashing Christians about the "Hallelujah diet"?
In 3... 2....1... - WhiskeyLemur, on 06/30/2009, -1/+4But she only weighs 65 lbs, apparently.... Unless, of course, she circumnavigated the scales and is seeing 65 *again.*
- peticsu, on 03/30/2009, -0/+3not eating when bored = problem solved
- guardgurl, on 03/30/2009, -0/+3I didn't eat anything over there
- EggAndMuffin, on 03/30/2009, -0/+3Here's a comic version of a crazy diet
http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/3636/creepyrich ...
Does anyone have the original source?
There are a few of these translated Japanese-comics floating around. - athinnes, on 10/01/2009, -0/+3I would think butts are pretty fatty.
- inactive, on 03/30/2009, -0/+2hows that working out for ya? because thats probably the worst thing you can do.
- Landgarbe, on 03/30/2009, -0/+2No, she weighs 65 kilograms (that crazy system used by some exotic countries http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Metric_system_ad ... )
- BoneheadFarker, on 03/30/2009, -0/+2The scale appears to be in KG and stones...not pounds.
- SammyJr, on 03/30/2009, -3/+5My new "diet" works for me.
I was recently diagnosed with adult ADHD and the doc put me on Concerta. Before I started it, my mind was all over the place, I'd get bored, and go get a snack or go out for lunch. Now with the dope, I drink a can of Mountain Dew in the morning, a bottle of Dew at lunch (nothing else), and then eat a normal sized dinner plus multi-vitamin at home. I no longer snack at work or at home.
Probably not the healthiest thing, but I've gone from 265 to 235 in 2 months and continue to lose. - guardgurl, on 03/30/2009, -1/+3I just go to Mexico. I lost 5 pounds in less than a week and without exercising. Oh yeah!
- sindex, on 03/30/2009, -0/+2"The Caveman Diet" is basically it's how I live because I don't care much for pasta, and bread is pretty easy to cut out. As to the "hard to get enough calcium" idea, well foods like spinach, kale, broccoli, cheeses, various nuts and seeds all have calcium. Vitamin D (which aids in the absorption of calcium) is found in salmon and other fish, and even in freaking sunlight. And if I decide "gee, I want a sandwich" I'll just have one and I don't have to feel guilty for doing it.
It's not a crazy diet at all. It's nearly identical to everyone else's diet, actually. - TheUngod, on 03/30/2009, -0/+2We used to call that anorexia...
- Enterres, on 03/30/2009, -1/+3Changing from a Standard American Diet to veganism years ago was the best lifestyle choice i could've made. It's true that veganism does annoy most people, but it's also true that PETA's latest proclamation about the president donating pieces of her body only bothers people who pay for tortured animal meat. For me, when it feels good who cares what anyone else thinks?
BTW, these days i will eat wild meat and raw eggs (free range only, as Safeways eggs taste like crap). - dancecmdr, on 03/30/2009, -0/+2http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radithor
Not exactly a diet per se, but still pretty ***** crazy. As the WSJ put it, "The Radium Water Worked Fine Until His Jaw Came Off," - SammyJr, on 03/30/2009, -0/+2Nope. Prior to being put on Concerta, I drank a pot of black coffee per day. My sugar intake was minimal.
- Krissam, on 03/30/2009, -0/+2i get sick all day if i eat anything for the first couple of hours i'm awake
- inactive, on 04/30/2009, -0/+2Complete insanity.
http://www.acai-berry-free-trials.info - shellshocked3, on 04/20/2009, -0/+1Some this people will do to make a buck knowing that there are suckers out there looking to loose weight. The tapeworm diet is a crack up.
http://www.correctraining.com/running-for-weight-l ... - kashk5, on 03/30/2009, -1/+2You do have to diet to lose weight. However, maintaining weight does not require a strict diet. Just eat healthy and whenever you do have to eat something unhealthy, do so in moderation. Just because you're going to a BBQ doesn't mean you have to inhale all the chips on the table. Add in exercise 3-5 times a week (no need to go to a gym for hours either, natural body exercises and jogging/running is more than enough) and it's very easy to maintain one's weight.
- peruvianprinz, on 03/30/2009, -0/+1when you eat, you are on a diet. I think you suck at being disciplined.
- Josexph, on 03/30/2009, -0/+1might want to check for worms...
- athinnes, on 10/01/2009, -1/+2Yeah because that is sooooo "crazy".
- dtfinch, on 03/30/2009, -0/+1I was shocked that it wasn't on the list. Fluids are greatly restricted as well.
- steelclash84, on 03/30/2009, -0/+1True enough, and that is precisely why diets like weight watchers works and others like atikin's doesn't. It doesn't stipulate tofu, salads, or only meat/nuts. It's goal is to reduce the portion sizes of the foods you do like to eat.
It's such a simple concept, and it surprises me how many people can't grasp that without taking a class or going to a meeting. - extravaganca, on 04/30/2009, -0/+1lol, yeah, not the best looking toes.
However, a good diet or supplement is one that works with no side effects
http://fast-weight-loss-pills.com << FREE trial - WhiskeyLemur, on 06/30/2009, -1/+2Gaming is a low-calorie activity - especially console gaming, where you hold the controller in both hands, leaving you none free for snacking. Reading/watching TV, by contrast, are very high-cal. MMOs are somewhere in the middle - when you're actually doing something, it's pretty intense, but you can still stuff your face when you're waiting in transit or waiting for your group to get off its collective ass.
- PrincessReemi, on 04/15/2009, -0/+1The lemon juice diet? U dont eat anything but drink water with a squeeze of lemon juice for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
And the cabbage soup diet - cabbage soup, no salt, no flavour, for all 3 meals. Yum. - Krissam, on 03/30/2009, -1/+2or Ramadan http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ramadan
- lalaB, on 04/30/2009, -0/+1Woow...Nice job
I would also add the Moon diet.
Gravitational effects of waning Moon decrease hunger, so losing weight is more easier.
http://www.squidoo.com/aboutfatloss4idiotsdiet - beatleman, on 03/30/2009, -0/+1I remember looking that up a few years ago when they talked about it on the show "Starved." That show was entertaining, but it didn't last too long...
- steelclash84, on 03/30/2009, -0/+1Respectfully, I disagree with your first statement, but I agree with the rest.
You can leave your current diet unchanged and just exercise more and lose weight. Eating less and exercising more is essentially the same thing for net calories. - Enterres, on 03/30/2009, -1/+2Ever considered all the sugar you're eating is contributing to your ADD?
- Ford_Prefect2nd, on 04/01/2009, -0/+1There was Digg article a while back that had a 600 lbs guy that ate 1 mega meal a day.
- marcvladimir, on 08/26/2009, -0/+1Crazy how people can get. The secret to a happy life is being happy with what you have. But of course, being happy has a lot to do with being healthy too. Instead of dieting how about trying kefir? read more about it here. http://www.yourkefirsource.com
- mobileken, on 04/11/2009, -0/+1Really Eat healthy and complete. No need to have half or less then you need but do exercise on daily basis too.

http://www.acaiberryinformations.com - wicexchange, on 10/21/2009, -0/+0Fad diets, magic solutions - it's mostly a bunch of hooey. Losing weight is easy if there's a plan in place, and you understand what you can eat. Most of the time you find yourself eating much of the same, minus a few baddies on a good diet plan. It's all about knowing what you can and can't eat.
