And yes, it motherf*cking blends :D - texpundit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I just tried the banana split smoothie. Hot DAMN, it's good! *thumbs up*

There, i cleaned up your ***** shoddy headline.- whiplashgrin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Wow, somebody woke up on the wrong side of the gutter this morning. Relax...
- zttrx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11Maybe there could be a "Top Lists" section of Digg? I'd really love to not have to see any of these "101 best", "top ten", and "50 ways to" things anymore.
- pinesol101, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1There should be a top ten smoothies because who of us diggers is actually going to try making all 101 different smoothies? How many of us diggers are actually going to even try one of these smoothies out?
- CedEx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0@ pinesol101
Maybe you should blog about the top ten smoothies, and submit the link to digg? - OhJay, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Alas, if only my highly illegal Chinese Windows Me botnet wasn't down, I would have dugg this up several thousand times. Instead, I'll merely concur with you.
- NiGHTSChao, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Spiffy :D
- musntSurfatWork, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Flaxseed is about the only thing left in this world that is good for you. Trust me, if you have any form of IBS or IBD, sprinkle some on your daily breakfast foods. Your colon will thank you, and you will feel better.
- VeganG, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1My girlfriend makes chocolate chocolate chip cookies that use flaxseed meal as a binding agent. They're actually really good, a smash hit.
- NoctemSaiyaku, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I'm feelin this, us diggers are a healthy people
- Amything, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Hmm not all :) If you wan't that something extra, alcoholic smoothies http://www.spikedsmoothie.com
- unknownsoldierX, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Which one of these would go best with deep dish pizza, onion rings, and fried twinkies?
- CedEx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I don't think they have smoothie sommeliers.
Not that sommeliers really offer all that good advice anyway. Just pick the drink that you like best, not the one someone else tells you to drink.
- CedEx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I don't think they have smoothie sommeliers.
- roberto_deneero, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13Contrary to popular belief, and what Jamba Juice executives would like you to believe, smoothies are not good for you. They are full of sugars, while not "evil" in themselves are bad (excess energy stored as fat) in the typical quantities that consumers consume them. 800 calorie smoothies are just excess flab in a cup.
Americans are often duped into thinking if it says "fresh" or "all natural" that it's good for you. Cancer is "natural". Partially hydrogenated trans fats can be "fresh" too. I don't see anyone lining up to swap hard-earned money for those in a cup.- therippa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You're right...yesterday I was looking for recipes for some of my favorite jamba juice smoothies (new years resolution: exercise more). An original size smoothie at jj seems to average around 500 calories, which is a lot more than I thought would be in there.
- jfox95, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Try Smoothie King smoothies. Most fruit smoothies are around 300-400 calories. And there is a difference between refined sugars and unprocessed sugars. What makes Jamba Juices smoothies so many calories is most are yogurt based. Smoothie King is water and iced based. Also most have protein and other powders added to them such as complex carbs and vitamins and they still taste great.
*yes I am biased :) - fearofcorners, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Also, foods which have been pulverized are more quickly digestible which is not really great for our bodies. We absorb the sugars much faster than if the fruit was unprocessed which leads to the typical sugar high/crash that causes diabetes among other things.
Sadly, smoothies really aren't the healthiest choice.
- jasepower, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1we'll definitely be trying some of these with our vitamix.
- RetardoCrisp, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2@ Roberto
There is a huge difference however between refined sugar and natually occuring sugars in fruit. Sure you have to be concious if you are a diabetic and all things in moderation but refined suger is a HUGE difference.
Hydrogenated oil...scary stuff. I don't touch anything with that in it. Milk products are scary as well.
Some of these I will enjoy in my Vitamix and Magic Bullet =D - spencer911, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I try my hand at one of those don't think they will end up that smoothie
- AllnightChemist, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Why does everyone keep chiming in to tell the community they'll be trying one of these when they get home?
Digging it is enough if that's all you have to say...- PlaidPhantom, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1What, and all the other comments are so insightful?
I would try one if I knew where the bleeping blender was. - AllnightChemist, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I have no comment on the collective lack of insight of all other comments. Why did you non sequitur in my thread? Go find your blender.
- PlaidPhantom, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1What, and all the other comments are so insightful?
- tashpool, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Nice page with some good smoothies - I just wish they had health info for each one. Calories, sugar count, etc.
- datafeaster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0always appreciate a good recipe site; and even though I've been using my hand-blender to make cat food, will try some out. I just take the flax seed oil by the spoon --much easier to take when you can wash it down with something tasty _after-wards_ ;)
--and i really digg this digg spell checkR too. yummm- CedEx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nothing wrong with a cat food smoothie if it tastes good.
- hhOwArdrOarKk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I just tried the orange pineapple smoothie, but instead of the orange and pineapple I substituted in my cat. Satisfying results. Thanks for the list.
- elenadragon, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1But will it blend?
Oh wait... - jonj, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1dugg because i bought a new blender this week.... despite this being blogspam
- howsmusic4u, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1How much alcohol do I add?

- triofpwr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1these are going to be great can't wait to try them
- Dustyb, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Hey this is great, my mom just got a new blender and it will blend *anything*. Up until now I've just thrown stuff into my smoothies, I'm definitely gonna try these.
