- bluehouse, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2They want to be the Microsoft of this industry? We're all screwed. I can see the errors now... "Dr Watson has encountered an unrecoverable error in your bowel. Press any key to die"
- nugget, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think they are cool. They could improve surery too.not like its easy for you to stick your hand in someones chest let alone two hands.

soo one day someone can have one of these robots in them and a doctor can perform surgery 100 miles away?
what if the doctors feels like killing them. He'd be like:
*pushes button*
*victim starts squealing in pain 1000 miles away*
*victim dies of mangled organs* - cheese06, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0robots look like dildos.
- petestv, on 02/19/2009, -0/+0Somehow makes sense, precision is needed, theres a story at http://www.medicalsupplyservices.com/blog/
- craigily, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i agree. i'd rather not have these things even exist.
- LeeVal, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0hope they dont run windows embeded
- nicklcl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Damn, these robots are gonna take over my job. I still wouldn't trust a robot to cut a patient for me, too many variables. Like camera angles that the robot has to have, it's a lot easier when you're standing over the patient.
But, as technology goes, I'm pretty sure I'll have to adapt to these things. - Gregd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ha. I went to school at UNL. Nice to see them get some academic recognition for a change, as opposed to hosting "Tommie Lee Goes To College" and the Cornhuskers.

- josh_the_only, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0 this looks kinda dangerous. as scared as i am of a surgery id feel much better knowing that a doctor was messing with my insides rather that a fukin robot.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0the key word, COULD

-bogey - Durrok, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Blah_blah_blah, I think the benefit of being able to do surgery 100 miles away is that the patient would not neccesarily have to be at the hospital for surgical procedures. Imagine how many lives could be saved if the doctors could start performing surgery as soon as the patient was put in the ambulance. It would also let experienced doctors be able to serve more then one hospital.
