Why All PC Enthusiasts and PC Gamers Owe Thanks To ATi
bootdaily.com — Even if you still "nsist on NVIDIA" you should take heed here - because of ATI's efforts, you can now pay HUNDEREDS less for your next NVIDIA-based mainstream GPU.That's right folks, ATI's 4850 and 4870's have kicked NVIDIA in the nuts so hard that it has been forced to drastically lower prices on most of its entire line-up.

I don't think so.- Rosco, on 07/08/2008, -0/+4You obviously do not understand the underlying meaning of the article.
- ledmatrix, on 07/08/2008, -0/+2Until ATI fails me I plan to stick with them. Last 4 in a row, all ATI. Radeon HD 3870 is my current.
- Rosco, on 07/08/2008, -0/+1I have had both, currently using nVidia and will be switching to ATI this weekend. I look at it this way, with the competition we all benefit with lower prices and superior products. A fine example of this is the current situation we have with oil, there is no competition for energy, so they charge what ever they want. If Apple were to open there OS environment to any hardware vendor (Intel, AMD, nVidia, ATI, home-brew builders, etc) you would also see a price reduction in Windows products. It's simple economics, competition is good.

- Mathieugothax, on 07/09/2008, -0/+2Thanks ATI. Seriously, I love competition, as it drives prices down. It also push Nvidia and ATI to provide better products at better prices for us. In the end, all of this advantage us, the customers =)
