With your first point though you don't need a wireless adapter or a HD-DVD player. You can still play Gears of War in all of its glory with the $400 system, many people are quite happy with that. I see where you are coming from though, those added features are nice. Shooters are all Xbox. And they are trying desperately to get with some Japanese developers Square and MGS team. Also many Japanese developers want to branch out more to the Wii and the Xbox 360. If you incorporate online with a shooter its never the same. How many people still play Halo 2? Controls, much like your shooter argument is somewhat biased. I agree it is semi last generation. Both the PS3 and Wii controllers are flawed with their motion sensing now, however that could easily change in the future. The PS3 has also had its fair share of bricks, the red ring of death hardly happens anymore and like you said they just did extend their warranty program. Look at PS2's how many people have had problems with those and are still having problems and that's been out for how long? I hope my comment wasn't that biased, like I said before you put out many good points even though I felt some of them were biased (shooter, controls, and the brand name of microsoft, xbox live is definately worth the money). I'm not looking to start a comment war...just adding in my two cents on the article.
- GhostlySnow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Well i agree with the comment above me. I would like to have the choice to not have the options if i dont want them. I honestly dont want an hd-dvd player and i have the option to not pay for somthing that i wont use. Also with the wireless adapter, some people either have no wireless internet or they are so close that they dont need to have a wireless connection. The xbox 360 gives you options.. sure it may cost more if you want all of the same fetures but it is your choice if you dont want them
