- RadiantBeing, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3This is nice but AMD's Austin manufacturing plant is %100 powered by green energy, making it the 18th largest consumer of green energy in the USA. Their chips are also quite efficient too. Call me a party pooper, but I view offsetting with a sceptical eye because it is a few levels removed from the actual economic activity. Whereas if someone is buying green power, it is directly linked to economic activity and creates an expansion in the marketplace for environmentally friendly solutions.
