- pantuky, on 10/12/2007, -1/+20HELL YAH! I'm going going to get up and dance on my sprained ankle I am so happy! I have to say it: I hate Rambus. They are bunch of slimmy patent trolls who fooled the industry into adopting the SRAM standard which they already had in the patent office.
Curses upon Rambus! - pcummins, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Of particular note is how they failed to disclose any upcoming standards/patents they were working on while on the JEDEC committee in order to make JEDEC (who made the SDRAM, DDR, DDR2 standards) completely unaware that they may be infringing on RAMBUS's patents and standards. As part of being on the JEDEC committee, you -must- disclose in order to prevent companies from abusing the standards process. Either way, I have my doubts over RAMBUS playing ball fairly with the other RAM manufacturers...
- CausticNoise, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Yeah, their over-heating, expensive, proprietary, out-of-production RAM has left thousands, maybe tens of thousands, like myself, without the ability to cheaply upgrade system memory.

Bangbus on the other hand is pretty cool - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1GOOD! I hope Rambus is buried and dead. Those ***** have been squeezing every other company for royalties. All they do is sue. If that doesn't work I hope they are hit by some anti trust suits or earthquakes.

On the stick itself is printed "Made in Taiwan," on the other side, an "Assembled in China" sticker and now I hear they're a South Korean company?
Those things get around. - CommandoJoe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Many companies have factories in other countries... Hynix also has a chip fab in Eugene, Oregon USA. Taiwan based chip foundry TSMC has a fab in Vancouver, Washington USA. Toyota, BMW, and other foreign automakers have plants in the US as well. This doesn't make them US companies...
