- ekkalvia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8I love the Frank Gehry. The EQ one is pretty cool too, but perhaps difficult to tell time. "It's 15 Hz past mid-range"
- CJHtxGeek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/watches/664e/
That should be on there... - Jaxor, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6I want the Mr.Gadget 1GB USB Watch! If only they could combine the usb and remote watch together somehow...
+Dig - Good find! - Bluezdood, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Only noobs use watches to tell time. It's much more 1337 to tell time by the position of the sun. :-P
- Dolemack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Back in the 80's I had a watch that played Pacman and a watch that transformed into a Scorpion.

That's my watch. It's a great conversation piece. Then everyone tells me I'm a big nerd. And then I say *snort* ROFL *snort* and say I'm a geek instead. - zenscope, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Cathode Corner Nixie Watch - wow. geek-a-licious.
- atrain, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Wheres the binary watches!!!
Cool watches, would like to see MP3 and binary ones in there though... - shade73, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3me personally I'm still waiting for the shoe phone! When that comes out i'm gonna be the first in line :P
- etruscan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Expensive is right. $6,900 for the Monaco Sixty-Nine... oh wait, I get it.
- VoxMagis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3My only problem is that I gave up wrist watches years ago for pocket watches. I spend all day in front of a keyboard and having that watch on my wrist was such an annoyance.
- tmibiker2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Nixie Tube watch........Awesome
I want one! - eltoozero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3For a real "smart watch", forget the MSN spot, it's all about the Fossil Abacus, PalmOS watch!
http://www.makezine.com/blog/archive/2005/08/reading_website.html
Super cheap now, < 50$ - panheaduk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Please to be explaining that remark. Sincerly hope they weren't given to you by a scary relative!
- sygyzy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Casio makes plenty of radio capable watches you'd be interested in. I have a G-Shock model but they also have them in dress watches.
- edto, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Where is the binary watch? That is the utlimate geek watch.
- sygyzy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Oh, you mean the ones that are slowly being phased out and the ones that Fossil stopped making altogether?
- antdude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I still wear and use CASIO Databank calculator watches. I have been doing this since junior high/middle school days. :)
- mage1129, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2which of those watches is the one that shoots to laser or poison dart?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3What about my MP3 watch? That's far better than just a drive with storage on it!
Especially since that model doesn't have a USB plug built in! - Jozer99, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3The Seiko e-Paper watch (not one of the top 10, but linked on the page), looks terrible to wear! It looks more like a rigid bracelet than a flexable watch. I'm pretty sure all the watches on that page are gigantic on your wrist. I'm a geek, but I long ago outgrew the phase of wearing a 3lb watch/TV/computer/personal organizer on my wrist. As watches go, simplicity is beauty. I now wear a simple steel timex watch, looks kinda like something from swiss army (but much less expensive). Tells me the time, and even the date, without any extra crap, lasts for years on a battery, and isn't so big that I have to take it off to get my coat on.
- etruscan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Analog is best.
- mrjeffery, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2A colleague at work has the binary watch, for which we ritually rip the piss out of him every time he appears in the office.
- BritOverseas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2That Tag Heuer has my name written all over it, need to get a brother for my present one anyway. Although, I would much prefer the Monaco V4 (check it out on the same "concepts" page on Tag's website), I am a SUCKER for miniaturised gadgets, can't get enough of em!!!!
- operator99, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Ok - I'm a geek watch junkie - I have the Equalizer and 4 other watches available thru Tokyoflash.com. They include the Fusion, the 5-9-12, the PIMP Pleasure Seeker (New), and the PIMP Trip the Light Fantastic. BTW, I could do without some of those names, but the watches have given everyone that sees them a positive smile or comment. And BTW, no plug for Tokyoflash, but their service is great. My 5-9-12 had a problem after about 8 months - I mailed it back and a later week it was returned with great email followthru.
- ph3rny, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1what about the pda watch? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00009QR9X/002-4706165-6972059?v=glance&n=172282
- briangig, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1IMO all those are ugly...The Casio G-Shock is where its at. Solar powered, Radio synced...how cool is that??
- ConceptJunkie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You can see the sun?!
- Jozer99, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1LOL, so true. I couldn't image using that to tell time. It would be cool if you could hook it up to your ipod for live EQ, or even better, hook it up to a reference mike to set up room accoustics before a gig (assuming you are a musician).
- FlyboyP, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1AH yea you know it. A big ole thick chunk of old-school 60s tech on your wrist, runnin that battery down. And the chicks will dig it too.
- kibblesnbitz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1http://www.tokyoflash.com has some of the best geeky watches you can buy. Their geeky but they look cool.
- bemick, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That's my favorite out of all those. Looks so slick, would be a great conservation starter.
- RobotCitizen, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2"If I hadn't inherited my mother's wrists...I'd wear a watch!"
I feel your pain nhansen. But my slim Kenneth Cole fits quite nicely. And looks sexah!
Most of the watches in that link are interesting to look at, but I wouldn't wear them. - jberberich, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1All of those watches are great, but I still think that the Fossil/Atari Asteroids watch belongs on the list. I proudly wear my Asteroids watch after a long search in Cincinnati, finally landing one in a Fossil store at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. The bonus to my watch is it's cool and relatively cheap ($130) compared to those in the list. The downside is that the game of Asteroids plays the same pattern every 15 seconds.
http://www.fossil.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=26508&itemType=PRODUCT&iMainCat=965&iSubCat=1076&iProductID=26508 - bryan314, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I just want a watch that doesn't fall apart after six months (I'm very hard on watches) and has a built in led flashlight.
- merdeisel, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2"Want to improve your standing with the fairer sex?
1) Forget a "geek watch" Get a nice analog watch, like the watch OO7 is wearing in the picture. The money you're going to spend on your next processor or RAM upgrade? Put it in your "nice watch fund."
2) Get some good shoes
3) Match your belt with your shoes"
Yeah because girls are always looking for a guy with a nice watch and belt. - Synthetik, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I agree. I thought that the binary watch would be on there for sure
- superunlikely, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Thanks. I actually have one of them too. Wouldn't give it up...even for the remote control one.
- Killerah, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I was going to mention the binary watch http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/watches/6a17/ because my friend has it, but a bunch of people already did... Anyway, those are some sweet watches, I'll digg it.
- spikepeck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1http://maxim.seenon.com/detail.php?p=17106
- MikeF2005, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Here is another that should be on the list
http://digg.com/technology/Touch_screen_watch - xjems, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1the remote watch actually works pretty well. i got one for my dad for christmas, and he loves it. the cathode tube one is pretty cool, but costs $395.
too bad none of these watches are small enough for a girl to wear... someday. - BassCadet, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The only real watch on that list is the Monaco.
Only on the Internet can you find people who spend more on a graphics card than they do on a watch. Unbelievable.
Watches last a lifetime. Invest in a good one. - EyeDye, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1http://www.google.com/search?lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=mp3%20watches
- vonskippy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Watches are soooooo last century.
With virtually every device in the house having a built-in clock, with computers on every desk and clocks on every wall in the workplace, and with everyone carrying either a cellphone or mp3 player (or both), why would anyone waste space/money/effort strapping a watch on? - PGvildys, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think it's scary how much I geeked out at looking at those watches. My geek levels must be higher than I had previously thought.
- barneygumble, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I like the usb drive idea as well. Now if we could eliminate the need for a physical interface, perhaps bluetooth? The usb port has to add quite a bit of bulk to the body of the watch.
- rafgar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Indeed. If I were willing to spend more than $15 on a watch (yeah, yeah, I'm a cheapskate), that'd be the one I'd get. I've wanted to get a binary watch for a while, I just can't bring myself to spend $70 on a watch when I go through them the way I do (and yes, I realize that they'd probably last longer if I actually spent something on them).
- j0keR, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Just get a Fossil. I think most of us can agree that geeks find them attractive also.
- Mithrill, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Can't believe they forgot the watch that tells time in binary.
