- Airforcefalco, on 11/08/2008, -11/+108They price it so high so third world nations like Iran can't buy it.
- BelatedHero, on 11/10/2008, -3/+68I bet there's a torrent for it.
- EuphoriabyMusic, on 11/10/2008, -1/+54It's not really all that crazy. These types of technical reports cost a lot of money and are very useful for the people who need them. This isn't something your average joe or even college student is going to read (unless their university buys it), it's for professionals.
Here's the link to the physical edition: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nuclear-Energy-Landolt-Bor ... As you can see it is equally expensive. - geneticlemon, on 11/10/2008, -0/+49Well, you're saving $1558. Honestly, that's a deal.
- DeviantDragon, on 11/10/2008, -1/+45At least this has practical value as opposed to the "I Am Rich" app for the iPhone.
- doublefelix, on 11/09/2008, -1/+41To be fair, it's a pretty gripping read.
- goeric, on 11/10/2008, -1/+26LOL the customer reviews on it are classic:
:After reading this book I learned how to make Nuclear Energy by burning this book. With the secrets in this book and the knowledge I gained I've managed to keep this book burning for over a year and it should theoretically burn for 99 years before I need a new book." - Matt2k, on 11/10/2008, -1/+18Seconded. These reports aren't intended for a general audience. They're for industry insiders, people who are planning how to allocate billions of dollars. Think of them more like hiring a consultant to do a report for you. This price is high, but it's not unheard of.
Here's a working link

- Rothbardosaurus, on 11/10/2008, -6/+21Iran is not third-world. Many places in the middle east are more first-world than much of America.
- MadOgre, on 11/10/2008, -1/+15***** it, I'll wait for the movie.
- omjeremy, on 11/10/2008, -0/+14Think that's a bad price. Booktopia is selling it for... well, I'll let you read the link.
http://www.booktopia.com.au/nuclear-energy/prod978 ... - reddikilowatt, on 11/10/2008, -0/+12Hey, it's nuclear physics, not rocket science. Heck even the brain surgery book is expensive...

- JcbAzPx, on 11/10/2008, -1/+11My guess is some professor somewhere has this on his required reading list.
Also, he just bought a new car. - inactive, on 11/10/2008, -2/+12At least there's free wireless delivery to your Kindle
- CCoe, on 11/10/2008, -1/+11I love how in the "people who bought this, also bought" section (if you follow the link to see if this is a real item, which it is. Bricks were shat) there are a bunch of Stephan King novels. Rich nuclear physicists love their Stephan King.
- Feep, on 11/10/2008, -1/+10Perhaps this would have been a wiser purchase for Palin during the campaign.
- inactive, on 11/10/2008, -0/+8anyone care to buy it and upload it? =)
- idc5, on 11/10/2008, -1/+9If it were a college textbook, I bet they'll change the edition within a year.
- Meesterchina, on 11/10/2008, -0/+8Unfortunately I went on The Pirate Bay and no, none were available to service my nuclear-power-plant-building needs. :'(
- Nboy514, on 11/10/2008, -2/+10"Spoiler Alert: The proton did it"
- NeoCortex, on 11/10/2008, -2/+9Must be a college textbook.
- mrsteveman1, on 11/10/2008, -0/+7Free = hidden cost built into purchase price of kindle.
- itsradBrad, on 11/10/2008, -5/+12You have never been to Iran I take it. Tehran feels like America in the middle east to me.
- rippolito, on 11/10/2008, -1/+8To be fair, it does ship for free with Super Saver Shipping.
- Gogara, on 11/10/2008, -1/+7First comment on the item at amazon made me rofl -

I ordered this and within 3 days of light reading it disintegrated into dust. Now I have only 1/8 of my nuclear power plant built. Thanks a lot - CalcProgrammer1, on 11/10/2008, -0/+6You get 6 free pages out of 602...that's like 1/100th of the book.
.01*6232=62.32, so that 6 pages that you linked to is $62.32 worth of information! Wow, that's quite a deal! - CCoe, on 11/10/2008, -1/+7I get you, I get you - but I think he was actually joking. Iran is very interested in nuclear energy and can obviously afford 6,000 or so. He was being ironic.
- doublefelix, on 11/09/2008, -2/+8I predict the Amazon comments for this will rival Tuscon Whole Milk in awesomeness.
- GreenLynx, on 11/10/2008, -1/+7Did I just get rickrolled with a PDF?
- zyce, on 11/10/2008, -0/+6"Now Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will have something besides the Koran on his Kindle"
- astutissimo, on 11/10/2008, -0/+5Yup. Also, you gotta spend money to make money, right? Imagine what you can do with the knowledge you gain from reading this book. You can build a nuclear bomb, and maybe a nuclear plant even.
- fluxion, on 11/10/2008, -0/+5"I've been saving up for this book for a while, and I have to say, it's definitely worth it's weight in gold!
One might think that a book entitled simply "energy technologies" might be boring, but it's actually quite the opposite. Each essay was more enthralling than the last, and when I finished this ebook, the smile didn't leave my face for days.
I would definitely reccomend this book for anyone who has ever had an interest in energy, or has used technologies. These authors know how to spin these two topics into intricately woven dissertations that will keep people of all ages and backgrounds clutching their kindles in excitement.
Definitely a must have for any reader. My advice, cut out the Starbucks for a while to save up the money, and get Energy Technologies! You'll forever look back at the moment you pressed "buy" with tears of joy in your eyes!" - inactive, on 11/10/2008, -3/+8Dugg for Ron Paul reference in article.
- Sonan, on 11/10/2008, -0/+4"Amazon.com Sales Rank: #88,182 in Kindle Store"
I guess now we know how many books Amazon has in Kindle format. - spyker3292, on 11/10/2008, -1/+5Nice customer reviews :P
- CalcProgrammer1, on 11/10/2008, -0/+4If there was, I like having a scanner!
- Airforcefalco, on 11/10/2008, -1/+5That is not what the MSM tells me.
- Mujokan, on 11/10/2008, -1/+5I find Nagamine's treatment of muon-catalyzed fusion to be laughably superficial.
- deadmoo, on 11/10/2008, -4/+8It is still technically Third World. Is it part of the West or a former soviet state? No. It's Third World. Words still have meanings.
- sfelton, on 11/10/2008, -0/+4You also save $1,500.
- Airforcefalco, on 11/10/2008, -0/+3I was joking.
Now can you point me to a place online that has good deals on trampolines? - Airforcefalco, on 11/10/2008, -1/+4I could see it from the gulf when I was in UAE, does that count?
- Airforcefalco, on 11/10/2008, -0/+3Is there a 30 day money back guarantee?
- fluxion, on 11/10/2008, -0/+3if not solely for the cover, which clearly shows that nuclear is not spelled nukuler
- fluxion, on 11/10/2008, -0/+3would instantly buy any car they make a commercial like that for
- CalcProgrammer1, on 11/10/2008, -0/+3Except in this case the gem is uranium
- RawMeat3000, on 11/10/2008, -1/+4That would make such an awesome car commercial.
- palm9999, on 11/10/2008, -0/+3You, my friend, are amazing.
