- Vusys, on 11/15/2008, -46/+275But can it run Crysis?
- guruboyguru, on 11/16/2008, -0/+206This should be in a Bond movie.
- cran, on 11/16/2008, -0/+179That's not fog. That's natural awesome sweating out of the place.
- Shogi, on 11/16/2008, -2/+171Talk about data mining eh?
- proliance, on 11/16/2008, -0/+144It was built in a nuclear fallout shelter. It can run *during* a crisis.
- popwesa, on 11/15/2008, -0/+129Sweetest place to work ever.
- LeadStripes, on 11/16/2008, -1/+94What's with all the fog?
- Jaliyl, on 11/15/2008, -4/+92I don't think datacenters have video cards.
- ryanonfire, on 11/16/2008, -0/+74More pics here: http://www.bahnhof.se/pionen/gallery/
- bigbill780, on 11/16/2008, -1/+74GoldenEye level? I'm pretty sure thats where you first get the RCP-90...
- Jaliyl, on 11/15/2008, -0/+72I really want that desk in the Network Operations Center photo.
One of those servers and a backbone pipe connected directly to the internet wouldn't hurt either. - Radan, on 11/16/2008, -1/+61Seriously you do not mess with the Swedish Police.
A short clip of the Swedish Police in action (not a Rick Roll):

- whok, on 11/16/2008, -1/+34sweeden is awesome
- louiebaur, on 11/16/2008, -1/+34All it needs is a Koi Pond and an extra freezer and I am moving there.
- miggyb, on 11/16/2008, -0/+31Yo dawg, we heard you like running operating systems, so we put virtualization software in your computer so you can run operating systems while you run operating systems!
- thephysicist, on 11/16/2008, -0/+31Pimp my data centre
- Ricochetbiscuit, on 11/16/2008, -0/+30Does it come with the Swedish secretary up there in the conference room? It might actually be worth the coin then!
- dsanonline, on 11/16/2008, -1/+30... Skynet ...
- miggyb, on 11/16/2008, -0/+26"Replete with waterfalls, greenhouses, German submarine backup engines, and simulated daylight this facility has the added benefit of being able to withstand an almost direct hit by a hydrogen bomb."
RTFA - PeanutCheeseBar, on 11/16/2008, -3/+29I don't think you have a video card; enjoy your integrated graphics.
- CRCulver, on 11/16/2008, -3/+27But I thought there were no successful companies or investment in new technologies in Sweden, because people are tax slaves of an oppressive socialist government. Could you be that Sweden's welfare state actually works? Whoa, I know that's crazy talk.
- 3leggedHorse, on 11/16/2008, -0/+23Reminds me of the place at the end of golden eye.
- yuanzhoulu, on 11/16/2008, -0/+23Swedest place to work ever
- Zique, on 11/16/2008, -0/+21Speaking from experience, it's a crappy place to work by summer, but since Scandinavia has an awful rain/slosh/darkness/coldness type of weather 2/3rds of the year, working in a cave isn't usually too bad. It's actually pretty sweet to get away from the depressing weather from time to time, and then there's the novelty value too.
- SPrintF, on 11/16/2008, -0/+20Surely, I'm not the only one who looks at these photos and thinks: This would be a great level in Half-Life.
- inactive, on 11/16/2008, -0/+20vault 101
- winterus, on 11/16/2008, -1/+21I'm from Sweden and this is how it works: The companies pay a very low coporate tax (lower than the U.S!) so it's the workers who carry the burden, with most people paying ~55-65% tax in total (20% to the municipality, 10% for the regional healthcare and 25% VAT plus much higher % for special good such as alcohol, tobacco and gas). This is for low-medium income workers, those who earh more than the equivalent of $40k a year pay 20% federal income tax on top of that.
Just to put some perspective of the "Swedish paradise" myth. - getoffmybridge, on 05/05/2009, -0/+19Ikea server racks?
- 3ch0, on 11/16/2008, -4/+23No, But you can run Fallout.
- inactive, on 11/16/2008, -1/+19Why is Sweden so ***** awesome??
- MJDub, on 11/16/2008, -0/+17Dugg for RCP-90. That gun rocks.
- ertw1, on 11/16/2008, -2/+19Company Rep (CR) showing new intern (IN) around:
CR: ...and behind this door (opens door and zombies rush the it, but CR manages to close it in time)
IN: what were those?
CR: oh a few enthusiastic Umbrella Corps employees...I was actually trying to show you the rec room...this way!
IN: Umbrella Corps?
CR: hmm?
IN: You said Umbrella Corps?
CR: No I didn't...this way - Dujenwook, on 11/16/2008, -0/+16I was wondering the same thing. Do they pay to have dry ice drug into the place on the daily just so everyone can feel like a supervillan, or is that just a photo-stunt? If the latter, pretty weak imo. ***** looks like a haunted-house.
- AboveandBeyond, on 11/16/2008, -0/+16really? what's it like playing it?
- iamichi, on 11/16/2008, -0/+14Happy N64 memories.
- CRCulver, on 11/16/2008, -3/+17Winterus, I'm an American who lives in Finland, and the welfare state really is paradise. I really don't care how much the government takes in taxes when I'm getting good health care, excellent public transportation, abundant and cheap concerts, well-stocked libraries, and free universities. Ironically, even after the high taxes working a part-time job, I end up having more disposable income than I had back in the US working like a dog.
- moonlessrat, on 11/16/2008, -0/+13I am an Australian who has been living in Sweden for almost 9 years now and I am here to tell you this country rocks. More often than not those who bitch about it are the spoilt Swedes who honestly don't know how good they have it.
You know, in Sweden if I were to lose my job the Union here guarantees me a years worth of money at 80% of my previous wages while I search for a new job? or that people are given a year off work with 80% wages when they have a baby? and that's to be shared between both parents! (you can even choose to use that part time potentially supplementing your wages for years) .You even get hundreds of potential days to stay home if your children are sick of course with 80% wages. Also unlike in Australia a couple's finances (married or otherwise) are considered to be separate from each other. So while a wife losing her job in Australia who's husband earned an average wage would not be entitled to any financial assistance, in Sweden she would receive 80% of her previous wage for a year even if her husband was Donald Trump.........the list goes on and on and on, and the things I am mentioning are standard for pretty much everyone working not just a particular company.
The taxes in Sweden are easily in the top 3 in the world......and yet here I am a humble spray painter and I have never been so financially comfortable. - Brassbud, on 11/16/2008, -0/+13I'm somewhat confused about the perpetual state of fog. Also, I like my redundant diesel generators to be painted bright yellow and bathed in black light.
That said, I see a Bond movie in their future. - Nicoon, on 11/16/2008, -1/+14Well played, sir.
- MacBookForMe, on 11/15/2008, -3/+16Oh, they've got them...very special ones "nVidia CrysisUnderworld Eternity"
- DarkSim, on 11/16/2008, -0/+13Get the 2x RC-P90 Cheat from Caverns, 00 Agent (beat 9:30 if I recall...), then activate it and play on Surface 1. Get out your dual RC-P90s and then press A to switch to Sniper Rifle, but before your rifle comes up, press A+Z together quickly to change back, and then Z to shoot just as your sniper rifle comes up. The sniper rifle will stay in your right hand, and another RC-P90 will appear in your left.
You can now use the zoom with the RC-P90!
GoldenEye is the best game ever. - bob1029, on 11/16/2008, -1/+14I don't like how they advertise that the facility can only handle an indirect strategic nuclear attack. I insist that my pornography be stored at a facility that can withstand multiple direct strikes.
- Shogi, on 11/16/2008, -2/+14It's not the best game ever. Decent, yes. Best, no.
It plays just like any other first person shooter with a couple bells and whistles, and the story is your generic alien invasion. - Chainheart2, on 11/16/2008, -1/+12Nothing wrong with starch
