Shuttle Columbia's Hard Drive Data Recovered
computerworld.com — The Columbia Shuttle disintegrated on atmosphere re-entry over Texas on Feb. 1, 2003, killing all seven crew members and scattering debris across Texas and Louisiana. Researchers have painstakingly retrieved 99% of data store on the Columbia's charred 400MB Seagate hard drive's 2.5-in. platters in just two days.
