Prototypes: UnMouse Pad Prototype is Paper Thin, Multitouch

gizmodo.com — The UnMouse Pad is like the MacBook Air/Pro's multitouch trackpad on steroids. On display at the Microsoft Research Summit (which also housed the Microsoft Sphere), this Joint project between Microsoft and NYU utilizes Force-Sensing Resistors to create one giant, mouse pad-sized circuit.

    Still a pretty nifty idea.

We only have the one working circuit, and we spent the last two week not sleeping to get it to to connect through USB instead of other more cumbersome connections. As a result, we didn't have a lot of spare cycles to to work on pretty-ing it up. Also, I really quite like Quicktime.
  • ulmedas, on 07/31/2008, -0/+1This is actually not a joint project with Microsoft. It is from the Media Research Lab at New York Universities Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences. Microsoft simply asked that if it could be demoed at the Faculty Summit.
